• @mainewildrose Happy Birthday, Sue!!

And remembering George/gabla on his birthday. I do miss him!!

  • @carma Carl, so very sorry to hear about your sister Ardith's death. Condolences to you all, including Sue, @mainewildrose. {{hugs}}

    @george George, so very sorry to hear about your sister's death. Condolences to you and the family. {{hugs}}

  • Good Afternoon Glassies...

@mainewildrose Sue - In the box where you write the description, does it show in blue on the top right hand side "Show standard editor"? That has to showing NOT "Show HTML editor.

  • @carma Carma, that sounds yummy!!

All the way up to 23F here in NJ -- but there's this funny white stuff falling down (and sticking). Should be an interesting eveining -- snow changing to sleet/freezing rain -- and then tomorrow into the 50s and all rain. DH is flying to FL tomorrow morning to visit a friend in Boca. His flight is at 6 am so he's already settled into a hotel right by the airport -- doesn't have to worry about getting there (or about waking me up at 4 am when he was going to leave the house). Now he just has to hope the plane he'll be on tomorrow makes it back to the airport tonight.

@capecodlady Janice, Happy Birthday!! (And Shelly (@shellyrae37), both of the birthdays listed are the same Janice!)

@mainewildrose Sue, what an adorable baby!! Definitely better than candy.

Big hi to everyone else who's posted!!

  • @mainewildrose Sue, congratulations! She is beautiful (as is her grandma!)

  • @mainewildrose Sue, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!! I hope it's been a great day. At least it was sunny.

  • Shelly @shellyrae37 Cancer seems to touch so many lives. It really does make me sad that so many ppl have to suffer. It is such a cruel disease. My friend is in unbearable pain and has been in hospice for a few weeks now. They are trying, without any success to manage his pain. Makes me want to cry. I know the pain and suffering my poor DH went through. Breaks my heart to know others are going through it.
Sue @mainewildrose My reference's says it came in flint, pearline and blue and was produced in 1891. No mine doesn't have the registry mark and I did wonder if another company may have copied it but couldn't find any reference to that. The milk glass is a "thick" MG not the "washy" type with the fire that you would see on very early items (hope that makes sense LOL) So I was also thinking that Davidson must have done the MG much later. I have just looked closely to see if I could see any Fenton mark but nothing. The mystery continues. But I think maybe you could be right and its a Fenton copy.I just need to find some concrete evidence Thanks for your help

  • @carma Carma and @mainewildrose Sue, glad you both survived the storms. We had t'storms come through here in NJ as well with a lot of rain. While I'll admit to sticking a mini-flashlight in pocket just in case, we've had worse. Our town made a good move early this afternoon and postponed tonight's fireworks until next Wed. (their previously announced rain date). More t'storms for tomorrow and then we wait and see how much rain we get on Friday. Looks like the parade I usually go to for 4th of July will be rained out. We'll see what happens with fireworks for Friday night.

  • @mainewildrose Sue that seller is quoting TomB(without giving credit) as to how the bowls were made. It looks to me like yours are staind not an applied ribbon of glass. To make theirs a punty rod would have been attached and likely the hobbs were ground off. Tom shows both bottoms on page 91 of their Hobbs book. I would not worry.

  • @songbreeze, Gail & @mainewildrose, Sue, thank you for the information on the green vase -- I thought I'd seen it before and U.S. Glass was in the back of my mind.

@itsagas, Bill -- here are some more photos, including several of the bottom. The little vase is about 4-1/2" tall and about 2" diameter. As you will see from the photos of the bottom, it does have an "owie" -- a chip in the ruffled bottom (but it was only $5). https://picasaweb.google.com/write4unj/BurmeseVase032114?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCJ-k882Wt6fAwQE&feat=directlink

  • @mainewildrose HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    good morning all george

  • @mainewildrose Sue and @george George -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Wishing you a wonderful day.

  • Good morning, glassies.

@wattleihavenext JULIE ... sounds like a really super kind of day! How much fun! Would love to see a pic of your stemware.

@shellyrae37 SHELLY ... I was trying to convert my documents to my new Windows 8. All is well now on that account. Still so much yet to learn and, most of all, to try to REMEMBER!

@sfinds SHARON ... gee, don't know how I missed why you are having to go to the Chiropractor. Do you have to go much longer? Sure hope all is progressing well for you.

@mainewildrose SUE ... Interesting about the alt codes. None of the alt codes I always used before will work on this new computer. Isn't that strange? I always used alt+268 for degrees, alt+14 for music notes, and alt+3 for hearts. None of that works for me anymore. I'm thinking it may be that I know longer have the second number pad off to the right of my keyboard. I just have the standard numbers at the top of the keyboard and it won't work with them. bummer

HI to DON, CARL, GEORGE, and JIM D!

  • @mainewildrose Sue, I just went in to try it and it was acting strange. I wonder if it's because the prices are changing as of tomorrow and the system is being upgraded or something.

  • Well, Good morning, glassies. Hope I didn't mess anyone up with the date screw-up. 😯

@jerseystar NANCY P ... thanks for the sweet words about my crochet. Wondering how the weather is treating you all. The rain and sleet are headed out and leaving a thick layer of ice everywhere. Church was canceled for the first time ever that I've known. Well, the priest will still say Mass but the requirement to attend is lifted due to the weather and road conditions. If it's not windy, I'll walk to Church as it's just 2 1/2 blocks from my house.

@mainewildrose SUE ... oh your decorations are just WONDERFUL! I can only imagine how super it will be to have all of your family together for Christmas.

@shellyrae37 SHELLY ... oh how frustrating! grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'd just file a non-paying bidder, block her, and be done with it.

@suzy SUZY ... I just get a big kick out of the fact that you are fearless...having all that glass in your house and 3 cats...truly fearless.

HI to IRENE M, GEORGE, REEN, CARL and JIM D. Hoping everyone is having a great weekend and a festive time during the Holiday Season.

  • @mainewildrose Sue I did that with my last NPB. Payment was prompt and they gave good Feedback. eBay did not complain especially as they got their fees. george

  • Sue @mainewildrose I have a few deleted amoung my list. I just take it that those ID's no longer exist for whatever reason.
    Julie

  • HI Suzy @suzy Yep the buyer would have contacted Sue through ebay but after that, there is no reason why they could not continue to communicate with each other outside of eBay. I don;pt think there is any law to say that evrything we want to sell has to go through eBay LOL
Sue @mainewildrose I am checking into my block list now to see if I get anything like you

  • Good Morning everyone Hot sunny day installed for us down under.
Sue @mainewildrose Ditto to what Carl said OR you could sell privately and not involve eBay. The buyer has contacted you. No need for eBay to even know about it. They don't own the world. It's yours and the buyers choice
    Julie

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... I search circles, hobnails and beads, panels, ribs...never thought to search diamonds. No wonder I didn't see it!

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... glad you saw that as my eyes went right past it and the brain didn't make the connection. I'm going to print Bill's photo and stick in my book. It helps me make the line-drawing to reality connection.

  • GRR had a post all written and went to check something out and lost it.. Don't you just hate when that happens.. No back paddling either to bring it back up, once gone its GONE..

OH SUE @mainewildrose, you have saved me once again, THank you so much. Even with the crack some may not like it but I think its worth having, just not for use.. Wishing I could find nice EAPG colored glass/ or stained. Thank you again..

  • Hello just in for a min. Have a 4:00 Appt. at the bank to deposit GS bonds into a college fund.. They made a whopping 16.00 interest over the last 2 years.. started buying them in 1998 when he was born.

SUE @mainewildrose Thank you so much for your ID on my Celery Vase, Just knew it had to be old.. But no clue, I was thinking columns.. Never thought of bars, will have to add that into my EAPG vocabulary.

    BBL

  • @mainewildrose - Sue - The whole piece measures 6 inches tall, 3 and 1/8 inches in diameter at the top and the base diameter is 3 and 1/8 inches as well. The bowl portion measures approximately 3 and 7/8 inches deep... The ones listed as 8 inches tall on Ebay would those be the Goblets?????????

  • @mainewildrose - Thank you for that info... Just what I needed... I'm sure this is from the 1948-1953 run because of the pale coloring of the crest itself... I appreciate you taking the time to look it up for me...

@donscns - Don Thanks for looking... I saw several in the Sold Listings on Ebay and everyone I saw did sell... so it must be a good one, too bad I won't be listing mine on Ebay, but I'm sure buyers will find it if they are actively looking for it on Etsy where I sell... I'll wait to see of Gail has anything to add before I list it...

  • Good afternoon, glassies. Hot mid-90s day again today.

@ohiostar FENTON ... the pattern is DIAMOND POINT LOOP, ca. 1890s, unknown maker, and it is probably the sugar bowl.

@mainewildrose SUE ... enjoyed the explanation on Indian Summer

@favoritegram LAINEY ... the only thing I don't like about the new RL is that the PO receipts are 2 pages long. I surely agree that adding stuff helps. I don't necessarily sell what I added...but I sell something from my store.

Oops! Sister just drove up in the driveway ..... BBL

    HI to CARL, DON, SHELLY

  • @glassusa @mainewildrose @songbreeze Bob, Sue, & Gail -- here's a thought, do you think Bob's piece is a marriage? I looked in Reilly & Jenks and in David Peterson's "Vaseline Glass: Canary to Contemporary" and none of the Pressed Diamond pieces shown have a bottom that looks like this. The lid, however, looks just like the butter dish and covered compote cover. Looking in those books at Belmont 100, the bottom does look like that pattern. So maybe someone put the lid from Pressed Diamond with the bottom from Belmont 100?

And, Bob, just remind me when you put it up on the 'Bay (it would look nice in my vaseline collection, even if it does have some damage and is a marriage.)

  • Good morning, glassies. Been busy as this week I have to make my round to the malls so I've been tagging stuff. I also need to get some things listed but I just haven't had enough time to do so. I'm working on a project to crochet blankets for my grandchildren. I'm VERY slow at crocheting. I've spent hours upon hours each day this week and still am only a third of the way through the first blanket. I do love to crochet though.

@glassusa BOB ... how in the world do you get so lucky to come across a pair of everglades. I've never even seen them in person, only in books. They are gorgeous.

@jmart8248 IRENE M ... How beautiful all the flowers must be and it really sounds grand that you have a porch where you can relax and enjoy them.

@sjell BETTY ... always enjoy seeing you check into the Chat.

@panishklo MARSON ... thanks for all the chocolate! I surely enjoy it! 🙂

@mainewildrose SUE ... so glad you were able to ID the Heisey for Diane. I'm at a loss when it comes to what I call the Colonial patterns. I printed out what you posted. Thanks!

@wattleihavenext JULIE ... glad your weather is turning so nice and your swap meets will be starting up again. Always enjoy your adventures with traveling and your markets.

@shellyrae37 SHELLY ... It was my little East Coast Washington D.C. granddaughter who broke her arm. As you can tell in the picture, she was very proud of her new bright pink cast...the doctor let her pick the color. http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/4/4/3/3/6/9/webimg/665407292_o.jpg

@dianes DIANE … that is a lovely Three Panel berry set…yes, by Richards & Hartley #25, ca. 1885...and it has NOT been reproduced. Haven’t had time to check your CHS.

@fyrqueen KATIE … you just wear me out with all your yard work and work about the house. Picking up a rag to wipe dust off the piano is a big deal for me.

@wellingtonct LAURIE ... would love to see pics of your green pitcher and your milk glass "thing". 🙂 Glad your snow is melting.

@george GEORGE ... hope you and your DW are doing well.

@donscns DON ... will you have a summer break before long? Or do you also have summer classes for your wee souls?

More coffee needed. I will take a photo later and show you all the blanket that is taking up all my time...whether you want to see it or not. 😀

  • My silly computer or maybe it's just IE is giving me fits today. Keeps locking up and "not responding."

@mainewildrose SUE ... I'm still watching the live coverage on NBC. Can't imagine all the lock-down when it entails all transportation and businesses closed. Wonderful cooperation from all the citizens to comply with the lock-down.

@glassusa BOB ... wonderful luck at the Thrift!!!! What terrible luck with the Weather!!!!

Hi to AMBER, LOUIS, DON, IRENE M, GEORGE, and BILL!

  • Good afternoon, glassies.

No motivation in my bones to do anything today. Lazy, lazy. Guess I will get out this evening as a parishioner died and the Rosary is tonight. Will have the funeral tomorrow morning and then will help with the funeral dinner.

@wattleihavenext JULIE ... so glad you went back and got the bowl. Chip or not, some things are just beautiful to look at. I have a jack-in-the-pulpit vase sitting right in the middle of my piano and I LOVE looking at it. Has a huge crack running down it but unless you pick it up and examine it you would never know. Just snapped a fast picture so everything looks blue...but it's white...

@mainewildrose SUE ... actually, if it weren't for the fact that today is the 1st day of Spring, your photos look quite lovely! 🙂

@carma CARL ... sorry to here you and your DW are ill. Hope it's just a short-lived virus and you all will be feeling better soon.

@shellyrae37 ... I bought a Marie Osmond doll once at a silent auction. She was just a beautiful doll. It took me FOREVER to sell her and I finally sold her at a loss. Hope you have better luck.

Good morning, @donscns DON ... do you get a Spring Break from nursery school or not?

  • Good morning, glassies. Looks like it's going to be a pretty day in NE Oklahoma.

@suzy SUZY ... I looked all about last night for the first stem you posted. All I can say is that I have the Seneca Glass Company book and I couldn't find any blank in it that would match what appears to be an Iced Tea that you have. I checked my Replacement book too and couldn't find anything that I thought might have that form.

@jmart8248 IRENE M .... Gabriel is absolutely adorable!

@mainewildrose SUE ... What a delightful celebration you had! ...and what a treasure in your DIL!

Good morning to JULIE, CARL, AMBER, DON, NANCYJEAN, and GEORGE!

I wrote this 2 hours ago....came back to check the board only to see I never clicked on Post Message ! 😮

  • @mainewildrose Sue, how lovely! What a dear DIL you have and how great to have all of your children together.

@jmart8248 Irene M, he is adorable!! Enjoy him.

No snow yet in NJ but it's been very windy and chilly all day. Perhaps there will be some snow overnight.

  • @mainewildrose Sue & @george George, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope it's a great day followed by a wonderful year.

  • @mainewildrose Good morning Sue forgot you had moved back north. The photos show ok on my computer only problem is the screening. Sitting out here I am free to miss the snow LOL. george

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... yes, indeed, it is a very poor sketch of Rexford on 195 and an excellent sketch of Rexford 237 that she renamed as something different! The only thing for me is that I have several pieces of Rexford right now in my back room so Bob's celery looked more than familiar to me. 🙂

What a mess of weather. Been off and on the phone with my sister who took ill tonight with a tummy upset. I got some things to take to her and was going to pick up some items from the grocery store. I touched my railing to go down my two steps off the porch and realized it was full of ice. Turned out my car was encased in ice. Couldn't even get the door opened. No way I could drive in all the ice at night. Just kept tabs on her by phone and said if she found she was getting worse or dehydrated we'd just call an ambulance. Luckily, instead, as the evening progressed she began to improve.

@fyrqueen KATIE ... I saw no snow here but there is just ice everywhere. I have to go hunt in my utility room and see if I have any de-icer left from last winter. Will have to try to get the car thawed out in the morning. Luckily, I only live 2 blocks from Church so if push comes to shove I can always walk there.

  • Good evening, glassies. Horrible weather today. Cold, wet, sleet, etc.

@baabaamason BOB and @mainewildrose SUE ... I'm thinking that celery looks like ALFA (OMN) aka REXFORD aka EUCLID by John B. Higbee Glass Co. (1907); New Martinsville Glass Co. (#21, 1919).

  • @fyrqueen Katie, beautiful picture, wonderful story! Congratulations!!

@mainewildrose Sue, she is a little doll, what fun and beautiful pictures!!

Very grumpy -- have spent the day grading students' end of term team projects, not quite finished and then have to calculate their overall grades. Why when the instructions clearly state each student's section of the reports needs to be at least 3 pages and the introduction and conclusion have to be 2 to 3 paragraphs do they turn in barely 2 pages and intros and conclusions that are only one paragraph? And why can't they write complete sentences?

  • Just checking in here on this early morn.
@mainewildrose ---Sue, Your granddaughter is a cutie. Enjoy every minute of her life. Our grown up granddaughters are now making us Great-Grandparents.We have five G-GSs and one G-GD. And another boy due in February.
And our youngest grandson--- a 17 year old --- got his driver's license just yesterday.

  • @mainewildrose Sue, what a sweetheart Lily is! Enjoy her!!

  • Good morning, glassies. Another busy day and glad for it.

@mainewildrose SUE ... your grandbaby is just absolutely gorgeous!

@donscns DON ... super job! Like @fran2 FRAN2 said, the chore will be to keep the card with the correct item. One thought is to print out a small thumbnail picture of the item and paste to the back of the card. I have a booth in Joplin that is strictly EAPG...nothing else. I use larger hang tags and I take a picture of the main design and paste to the back so that someone can't come along and switch tags. The problem is that without the picture the staff has no idea what the pattern name is for a particular item. They really like that I do that.

@wattleihavenext JULIE ... oh what a headache of a buyer. grrrrrrrrr. Eat a piece of chocolate...that should make it all better. 🙂

HI to AMBER, HELEN, and GEORGE!

  • @Fenton @oklahomasong_Gail , Great! Thank you both. The book reference is greatly appreciated!

@reen, Thank you. Let me know If you need more pictures.

@mainewildrose, I left a dyslexic post for you (wildmainerose) at 1:18.

  • Good afternoon, glassies. I'm running around like a chicken with my head chopped off trying to get packed, phone and camera batteries charged, checkbook balanced, .... and have to get the dogs out to the kennel. Sister is coming over to help as Big Ginny HATES a collar and leash and thinks they are only for dragging her human around the yard. Rocky, though tiny, is feisty and thinks if the front door opens he has license to run away from home and frolic about town. Costs a fortune to kennel the twerps. The cats will be on their own for 2 1/2 days, then sister will return and check on them for the next couple of days. I set out 3 separate kitty litters for them, a wash tub of water, and a wash pan of food. Plus I bought a ton of toys to scatter about the house.

@allirish123 TRACY ... be sure and read all the new policies before listing...no text on the pics, no frames allowed on gallery pics, return policy, on and on. Gotten to be a painful process. I use Auctiva and pay 9.99 a month. I like their templates and also you can schedule your auction start times for free. But I closed my eBay store and haven't listed anything in the last month, so don't know how long I'll continue with Auctiva. I opened a ruby lane store and have no need of a template there. Best of luck!

@4931nextdoor ALICIA ... what splendid items! So sorry that I'm absolutely no help.

@mainewildrose SUE ... We are all here to learn and I for one never find additional information "belaboring"...to the contrary, I find it very helpful reinforcement and appreciate it greatly.

@jerseystar NANCY P ... you get your DD all moved into her new place only for you and her to leave it?! LOL. Maybe you both are so tired from the moving you had to take a vacation from it. 🙂

@favoritegram LAINEY ... do not know the story on your DD's son, but if prayers are welcome for strength and healing, count me in.

@reen REEN ... I can understand wanting to take a lot to auction, but would you quit selling entirely? For all the frustration, I still enjoy watching an auction or listing or item I have in booth to see if it will sell.

HI to GAILMAC, CARL, HELEN, AMBER, DON, GEORGE, and SHELLY.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  • Just now getting back to the computer as it turned out to be a very busy evening.

@gailmacphee GAIL MAC ... I had 2 months of such horrible sales on eBay that I lost my discount. It discouraged me so that I closed my eBay store and opened one on Ruby Lane. I will just do the free auction listings on eBay when I decide I want to auction something rather than give it a fixed price.

HELLO to ALL glassies and SUE @mainewildrose I agree with LAINEY that you ought to write a guide/review on King's Crown for eBay.

  • @mainewildrose That was truly a very interesting and practical lesson on CK. I think that even I may remember the differences .

  • @mainewildrose Thank you very kindly for the ID. It is a pretty thing and in perfect condition except for what appears to be a small manufacturing defect near the bottom.
    Helen in Indy

  • Good morning, glassies. Sitting here watching the wind blow through the trees and waiting for the cold front to hit. Had a southerly wind and we were in the mid-70s. About an hour and a half away the wind is now coming from the north and the temp is already 50. Should arrive here soon.

@mainewildrose SUE ... LTNS! Hope all is going well for you.

Will be working all day at getting more stuff ready for Friday's auction.

HI to DON, HELEN, and GEORGE!

  • Good morning from sunny and cool NJ -- looks like Mother Nature actually read the calendar and knows it's Autumn. DD called this morning to say she has her closing date -- Oct. 30. That's perfect as her apartment lease ends on Nov. 26 -- she gave notice this past weekend and had already started to arrange for a mover and cleaning service. If worst came to worst, her stuff was going into storage and she was going to stay with her girlfriend.

@mainewildrose Sue, welcome back to the East Coast! How wonderful that you'll be able to enjoy your GD.

@mary cxgirl Mary, another figurine is the September Morn nymph, which Fenton made (it's based on a painting). I have the bowl and candleholders from Fenton's set, but the nymph costs a fortune the few times I've seen one on eBay. So I settled for an Imperial version of Bashful Charlotte which I got cheap. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/7BvfV5SQwYdVWaqbPuPDEJ46WNkKOU7MjrZOZP_x8cU?feat=directlink

  • I am up in the middle of the night. Have a few computer chores to do.

@mainewildrose ---- I think you will be very happy with your decision to be where you can see your granddaughter. We have never regretted moving to
Indy to be close to the 2 of our DDs who lived here. That was in 1986. Eventually our 3rd DD settled here, too. And now we get to see one of the great-grands every week.

@reen------ I took a look at your closed auctions. Interesting hats. Hats are one fashion that I am glad to have left behind.

  • @mainewildrose Sue the Blue Opalescent is known in both carnival and plain forms. Carnival has a higher value. Blue opaque, if that is what you mean I am unfamiliar with.

  • @donscns Don, what a sweetie Percy is!

@mainewildrose Sue, your granddaughter is gorgeous! What a grown-up expression on her sweet face.

@10bbg10 Helen, the Westmoreland toy pieces are also called Flattened Diamond and Sunburst; the older pieces did not have handled sugars and spooners. Here's my collection (excuse the dust!): https://picasaweb.google.com/112058486768283926064/ToyGlass072212?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCOeDvpz55t7wzwE&feat=directlink In crystal I have the sugar (with and without handles), creamer, and spooner with handles; in milk glass I have the butter, creamer, and spooner/sugar (according to the Whitmyers' Collector's Encyclopedia of Children's Dishes, only a three-piece set was made in MG). The other pieces next to the MG pieces are Tappan (both original McKee in crystal and Kemple in colors); the pieces on the bottom shelf are Westmoreland's toy condiment sets in English Hobnail. And the last photo (not a great one) are the two other children's sets I really like -- a complete table set of Nursery Rhyme (U.S. Glass) and in the front McKee's Grapevine with Ovals (still looking for a covered sugar in that set).

  • Waving to @jmart8248 IRENE ... didn't see you're post down there until just now. Hope all is going well for you.
Waving to @panishklo MARSON too !

@mainewildrose SUE ... the baby is adorable and those eyes are beautiful!

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... Thanks so much. I don't have that book. I have Kovar's Westmoreland Glass: The Popular Years 1940-85. I could not find it in their book until you ID'd it. I see it now on page pages 203-206. Thanks again!

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... thanks very much for the confirmation. When I looked on eBay there were so many of the Indiana ones listed as Tiffin that I began to doubt myself. Thanks again.

  • Just got home from running Gail’s taxi service. Plan on going to an auction later this evening. No special auction…just a little local one held ever 2 weeks.

@mainewildrose SUE … Thank you ever so much! I was thrilled to see an ID for my little nappies. Can’t find them in my HMW Fostoria: First Fifty Years book. Did see them now that you ID’d them on eapgpatterns. Can’t seem to locate any kind of market value for them. Super that Debbie was able to snag the ruby-stained one. Thanks again for the ID.

@itsagas BILL … thanks for the link. I enjoyed reading the article.

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... Thought you and other glassies would like to see these pictures. This is thanks to you identifying my little two handled creamer as the base to a baby reamer set. I finally found the top on eBay and now have the completed item. Yea!

    Bottom portion
    Reamer
    Completed set

  • @mainewildrose SUE & @sjell BETTY .... oh, thanks so much for letting us know. Yes, Sue, it does still leave the milk glass tray a mystery, but glad the amberina tray and trinket box are cleared up! Must go on-line and look up that book. I've already just ordered two books this morning, don't know if I should try for a third...but will see the price and decide. 🙂

  • Good Morning everyone . Our little taste of winter is over and we are back to lovely warm sunny Autumn weather, with just that nice little fresh nip in the air early morning.
Sue @mainewildrose have you looked into European makers for that set?
    Julie

  • Started to say Good Morning and see it is already afternoon! Time flies when you're having fun....

Well, actually I'm just busy doing laundry and running errands. 🙂

    Saying Hello to MARY/cxgirl!

@shellyrae37 SHELLY ... once in a blue moon I go over to the PGP board. I'm sorry but I really don't remember anything about how it works.

@mainewildrose SUE ... golly, I wish I could help because I think that is a darling set. I looked for the Milk Glass one in my limited resources...Newbound, Chiarenza/Slater, Belknap, WVMAG Monograph #15, WVMAG #96 on Lornita. Tried looking also on the eapgpattern website. Just no luck so far. Have you tried contacting the National Milk Glass Collectors Society ? http://www.nmgcs.org/

  • @mainewildrose SUE … I just looked through Chiarenza and WVMAG Monograph #15 and couldn’t find a match.

@reen REEN … Just beautiful decorations! 5,000? We have about 150…..!

    Waving HI to Alicia!

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... you are a doll! Thanks so much for clearing up my cup/creamer dilemma! I'm going to try to find the reamer top.

  • @george Happy Birthday, George!!!!
    @mainewildrose Happy Birthday, Sue!!!!

@reen Sending good thoughts & prayers for your nephew. Usually this happens because there is already a valve problem and bacteria can then collect there. My my has a prolapsed mitro valve which doesn't cause her any problems but when she goes to the dentist to get her teeth cleaned, she needs to take an antibiotic ahead of time as a preventative measure.

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... I'm just going to HAVE to study my books better. You ID'd a vase for me a couple of years ago on that very page...the 16049 Twist. You would think my eyes would have seen the 16045 and retained some memory of it, but nooooooo.... I feel so stupid. Thanks ever so much for your help!

  • @mainewildrose SUE & @carma CARL ... what joyous news! Welcome to precious Lily! Liliana is a beautiful name.

I put off my Joplin trip again today, so if all goes well tomorrow I will leave in the morning. Suppose to reach 66° tomorrow. Incredible!

    Good night to all...

  • @mainewildrose and Carl, Congratulations, what a sweet baby!, I am still Waiting to be a Grandmother!
It was 70 here today, clear as a bell , no rain in sight!
    Fran

  • @mainewildrose Sue, congratulations on becoming a grandma; Lily is so tiny! What a sweet photo of your son and Lily.

@carma Congratulations on another grandniece! And I hope you're staying warm -- it was 17F this morning, but warmed up as the day went on and is now 27F, even though it's evening. Tomorrow we're in the low 40s again.

  • Congratualtions to the new addition to the family Sue & Carl
@mainewildrose being a Grandma, is unbelievable!!
@carma I am a great Aunty 14 times. Am kinda sorta a great great Aunt 3 times. One of my great nephews is with a partner now, that has 3 children to a previous relationship. And of course as you know, I am a Grandma-ma.. but only the once and I think that is how it will remain

  • Evening All,

Love all the activities at Christmas time, but it sure takes a toll on time.

@itsagas - If you look at Fenton's #737 Comport it looks more like the foot of yours and it measures 3 3/4 inches http://www.shetlarglass.com/stretchglass/SGCompanies/Fenton/Fenton08a.htm , Also in Fenton Art Glass 1907 - 1939 by Whitmyer all the pieces have the pattern on the base.

@mainewildrose SUE - Congrats on the new grandbaby, will say prayers for your DIL and Baby. You and Gail still give me hope in some day I will get one(LOL).

@fran - Your table setting is beautiful, she looks so pretty peeking out. And I love your candles, very unique.

@reen - Indiana glass also made sandwich pattern using Duncan Miller #41Mold

@10bbg10 HELEN - Not sure what your question was, but I have shipsaver Insurance never had to make a claim but several people I know have and the only problem was when they shipped to one of their non insured countries. What they needed was print off the Invoice showing the cost, then there is a shipping charge no matter who paid for it, so they just need to send a copy of the receipt. They will not reimburse the shipping charges, but they will send pay for the item when provided with the right info. You can always call them, they have always been very helpful to me.

  • Sue @mainewildrose I understand your excitement at becoming a Grandma
Kelli @enchantmentglass & Don @donscns I am glad your auction sales are doing well. Maybe they are buyers fed up with eBay and also fed up with poor packing from some of the sellers.
    Julie

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... Welcome back. I can imagine your excitement and anticipation. My son, also, was married 8 years before they finally had my precious granddaughter this year. I went to California in the Spring and again at the end of October to see them. Oh how I wish my children and grandchildren lived closer to me.

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... I was tripping all over myself in my post. In defense of my boo-boo, both a cruet and a syrup have a spout and a handle. 😀

  • @mainewildrose Sue, Thank you and I did understand . 🙂 Those buttons cut in half on the cover made me think Bows.
My first thought when I saw the Decanter at my MIL's home was Imperial. I dismised that for some reason I cant
't remember now and never looked there again. Ironically, I have that Imperial three book set. 😳 I guess I must learn to trust my instincts more.

  • @mainewildrose SUE ... Go up to the tabs on the right of your screen and check out the tab labeled "How To" Manual. There are a some very positive little tricks that one can use on this board. I'm sure you will find them enjoyable. The one I like the best is the "delete" button for when I make a goof in my post and want to "erase" something. 🙂

  • @mainewildrose …..Sue, glad to see you here. You can just bold if you choose, you can really do whatever you wish. You can change your email preferences by going up to the top of the page to My Account; within that is Settings and then there is a Notifications option. You can turn off receiving emails whenever someone ”mentions” you; I think you can turn off receiving any email messages at all. Also, there is the great delete button, which lets you add to a post when you think of something later. lol 🙂

@mainewildrose SUE … delighted that you joined us here. I think you will really enjoy it. It’s a lovely Chatroom….even though the coffee arrives late in the evening instead of the morning and the frog doesn’t follow for some hours later. ROTFLOL. one does what one can.
