Good morning Everyone. Just stopping by to say hi and hope everyone is well. Hubby's pancreatic cancer is back and we have been dealing with a lot so not buying much glass.

Thanks everyone for the BD wishes and that yummy cake Julie. I refuse to bake my own cake so that is the only one I will have.
Happy belated wishes to Toby. too.

Thanks Marson. My BD is tomorrow. It is 78th BD! I am not celebrating since we are still quarantined. Maybe get broasted chicken from my favorite local take out place. am still buying glass now and then. I have started collecting butter dishes for some reason. Some of them have lovely patterns but of course I don't have a clue where any were made or by whom.

Hello Everyone! Too cold to go out so after rearranging our holiday storage area, here we sit. I will have to start selling a bunch of our collections soon. Hubby's pancreatic cancer is raising it's ugly head again and I need to thin out a lot. Hope you are all well and keeping warm. (except Julie)

Hello All!
Carl your weather is a nightmare. Ours is weird..in the eighties for 3 days and down to 30 and snow tomorrow. It is very hard on my old sore body. I fell in Houston and had to come back a week early. I messed up most of my left side from head to ankle and tore up my right hip but thankfully no breaks.

I am planting cucamelons this year for a nutritious snack. They are tiny cucumbers with a citrus flavor.

Hello everyone. I am finished decorating and have tables set up for the choir Christmas party set for after we sing the Mass on Sat. evening. Tomorrow I will rest and Friday cook all day. I will make a few things and everyone will bring something. My Santa tree turned out cute with all of my old hand blown Santas on the front. I also put the Dept 56 Santas on there. They are large and show up well. Wish I could link a pic but my camera broke. Hope Santa will bring me a new one.

Hello everyone. Very cold in SWPA today and it will go to 15% tomorrow. I am not ready for this weather. I am getting ready for having Christmas parties and moving very slowly getting the Christmas stuff out. Anyone want to help?

Jim D&M in Washington PA had an anonymous donor giving them the money to buy a building there to make a more accessible museum. They will close on the building this month. It will be handicap friendly, Everyone in the club is very excited by it.

Hello everyone, It has been a long time since I have stopped by. Tons of health problems have kept us pretty busy. DH has pancreatic cancer by is doing remarkably well. He had surgery and is on chemo.

We visited Katie and Mike and Michael Gorham this summer. It was wonderful to see them. We went to Myrtle beach two weeks ago and had wonderful weather. We stayed in sister's new RV. It was a bit crowded with four adults and an 85 pound Labradoodle. I got up to go to the potty in the middle of the night and found the dog had taken over my bed!

we are going to an oil lamp symposium at Winterthur next. DH is still collecting oil lamps and is always interested in learning more. I will stay in the hotel and read!

We had a wonderful Pittsburgh Historic lamp meeting in Sept. at a member's home. He has awesome glass and also collects transferware. Our study group is researching glass molds this year. If any of you have any and would send a photo, we would love to see them.

Julie my family is looking forward to visiting Australia in June. I reminded them that it will be cold there. I hope they will heed my warning and take layers.

DH will start chemo in 4 weeks. The pancreatic surgery went very well and he is doing fine so far, thanks to good docs and lots of prayers.

I am getting ready for a neighborhood garage sale next week. I have several glass bottles and jars to sell and a few collectibles. Glass door pulls and door knobs. Nothing really interesting.
I haven't been here much since we are dealing with DH's pancreatic cancer. His surgery went well and now after he heals from that, he will have chemo. Such a shock to both of us. It is good that he is so healthy otherwise. I would appreciate your prayers.

The glass museum in Mt. Pleasant has closed and all of the local glass will be given to other non profit museums in the area.

Gosh it has been a month since I have been here. I didn't miss much. Not too many here any more.

We had snow over night but now it is raining.

I had the flu for a couple of weeks. I guess that is where the time went.
I hope you are all well and warm.

Wind chill 17 and snow over ice on the roads. It was stressful going out for blood work. We are hoping that the roads improve before we must go out again to a funeral.

Our Jetta has been recalled so we are looking at an Outback. It fits my long legs and DH wants all of the safety features.

We had our first snowfall yesterday and it looks so lovely. The road leading to our complex was not cleaned or salted so it was slow going to our Montour Trail dinner last night. We have another party tonight and one here on Sat.40 people from the church choir will be coming and there is no parking allowed on the street in our twp.

I have been busy decorating and baking cookies and haven't been around lately, but wanted to check on everyone. I hope you are all doing well.

Good Morning Everyone! It is frost and cold this morning, but the sunshine makes it seem warm until going outside. The sunshine is welcome since we in the Pittsburgh area are used to gloom most of the winter.

The dog is finally doing well and had her dressing removed a week ago. Now we have to keep her from licking the graft off her leg. Her appetite is crazy. She tells us ever two hours that she needs food. She talks loud and clear. LOL

Carl I have blood drawn at Quest. They told me to drink a lot of water the night before and in the morning. It is easy to find my hidden veins since the liquid pops them up. No one ever told me that before and I had so much pain and problems before that. Try drinking water and even the old nurse will not hurt you.

Thanks Nancy. Her next surgery is tomorrow morning for another skin graft. The docs call us every time they do any kind of procedure. The call before and after. They are wonderful. It is a new vet hospital and is only 10 min. away.

Carl I always check on your weather report each morning, so keep on posting, please.

My dog got out of the yard and was hit by a car on Tue. She has been in the hospital ever since. She will be there about another week if she survives. She is in a lot of pain and is sedated. I can't stand to go visit since she looks so awful and all I do is cry. Gil went today and she didn't even respond at all. They will graft skin on to her leg/paw on Sunday if she remains stable.

The weather here has been wonderful for the last 3 days. Very little humidity and a perfect day for riding my tricycle. I am trying to strengthen my legs. Maybe I will get better balance. I feel like I am drunk some days and have fallen a few times.

Carl we are going to look for a larger couch since our room is so open and our love seats look lost in the new house.

We had 3+ inches of rain today and lots of stormy weather. The small stream in my sister's yard is now a lake that is all the way up on their lawn. We are glad that the house sits on a rise, so no fear of water coming in.

We are leaving for the hospital soon. Need to check in by 10 and surgery set for 12. Hope my sugar holds. I ate lots last night. Fruit and crackers and peanut butter. My reading was 183 this a.m. Normally I'd freak at that but I don't want it to drop until I can get back to normal eating.

Janice and Shelly I was anointed this morning with several praying over me and I am so relaxed that I fell asleep for two hours! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Wish I had time to find tapes.

Just when I was relaxing about my surgery on Thursday, I saw a list of my allergies that the doc copied and many were not there...A biggie is Iodine and that was missing. Now I will be worried again until they read the list plastered to my forehead on the day of surgery.

I'm praying for all the Glassies and Potties in the way of the storms. The new was awful seeing the collapsed town.

I am decorating trees slowly. The family is visiting this year, so I am into the whole thing. They have never seen our homes at Christmas time so it will be fun to have some of them.

I just got a call to pray for a friend's 52 year old daughter. She had awful pain in the side of her head and it turns out that she has a blood leakage in her brain and had a stroke. She has 4 kids in college and is a single Mom. Please add her to your prayer list.

The rain has messed up a lot of the Fall festivals here, so our weekend plans didn't work out.

Don watching the butterflies would be awesome for the kids. I had an incubator in my classroom for spring chicks to keep the kids interested when they started getting baseball fever. That did the trick.

Shelly our agent is a friend and she is doing everything possible to get buyers in but we have a very bad school system, so families won't buy there. The house is huge and would be too big for "normal" families. We loved the storage there for all of our collections, so it was perfect for us.

Carl we have invested in a Food Saver and I love it. The meat stays fresh and flavorful for months with no freezer burns. Veggies do great also.

We heard thunder today but it was a teaser since not a drop of rain has fallen.

All the outdoor furniture seems to be gone now that we have need of it so we bought white plastic chairs and will use a table that we used for shows until next year. I think I have a tacky plastic tablecloth to put over it. LOL

Our house hasn't sold yet, so still a bit stressed. My BP is high. So need to do some deep breathing and more exercise.

It is very hot here and stuffy not pleasant to walk.

We have been very busy moving and last week we were getting the church garage sale in order. I bought a few things and brought some home to sell. I have glass to show you but just can't figure out this Image wizard and some of you can't get tinypic. I bought a beautiful open salt with a spoon . We think it is European because of the mark.

I'lltry to get back later and maybe someone will help to show me how to do pics.
