Gail thanks for your concern. I am doing pretty well. Still dealing with the feeding tube issues. Looks like those issues are not going to change or have any significant improvement. But with the advice and help of our nursey DD my wonderful Dh takes excellent care of me. My last thought every night is a prayer of thanks for having him in my life. We had our 62 wedding anniversary in 2013.

Don, About a year ago we lost a family member to a drug overdose----- the mother of 3 of our great -grandchildren. Her mother is a good friend. The two of us kept trying to bring some reason to this terrible event. We finally told ourselves that if the mother was going to go down that road the children might be better off with out her.
The children are under the care of their father and a new mate. Our DD, their grandmother, is now tutoring all three of them. The now 13 year old boy recently commented that " We have never had it so good. -

I did post this on the Book Board. I think it is important enough to re-post it here on the Glass Board.
I just finished reading ”Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell. I strongly recommend this book for any families who have children who are soon be entering school. Or those involved in education in any way. I am insisting that my DGD's who have young children find and read this book. -

Good morning Glassie Friends,
Another little idiosyncrasy of that DGGS of ours is that he thinks he has to mow the lawn with his plastic lawnmower every night before he is put to bed. He says " It makes me tired so I sleep better." Don't know what he will do when the snow flies. -

Good afternoon Glassie Friends ,
Reen is so right . Today's collectors want retro 1960s- 1970s stuff.Or the really topnotch glassware and in cobalt blue. I have a large collection of green Florida / Herringbone for which I did some price checking. It is not selling. Good thing that I got a large lot of spun aluminum items in that same purchase. I sold all of those pieces to one buyer in NY City. No more primitives. I think that is true in almost all categories. -

Royal Gift was a donkey that was gifted to George Washington in 1785 by Charles III, the King of Spain. He proceeded to aquire more donkeys through breeding procedure. Also researching some green pieces of US Glass Herringbone-Florida which is not selling well. Maybe I'll put some up just before Christmas. I had bought this as a lot at and estate sale in 1995. I posted this on the Book Board . No response there so far. I have a growing concern about ’buyer returns.’ I fear that they are asking for refunds but do not want to return the item.In other words they are attempting to scam the seller. Our son in a St. Louis suburb has recently discovered Craigs List. He was lamenting that he had not discovered it earlier as he cuts his own fire wood and there seems to be quite a lot available for free. He has a pick-up truck so hauling is not a problem. Good morning Glassie Friends. I guess it is good as I found some Revere Ware lids that we had spent quite a lot of time looking for. Wasn’t looking for them this time but there they were.
Cloudy with snow showers predicted for today.
Don, I’m surprised at the temperature in your part of the world. Is this anywhere normal for this time of year?
Marty, Interesting auction buys. Hope they sell well for you.
Shelly , Have a good time at your bowling party. Enjoy the good eats. -

Carl, Thanks for the snow photos. Looks like the tree limbs would break under the weight of the snow.

@nona Nancy Jean, I love your glass pumpkins. And I would think they are quite an unusual item to collect.
Had some problems today printing shipping labels through the PayPal site. Finally got them done and off to the post office. Now to relax for a bit before the next scheduled feeding. I think poor DH is about worn out. -

@jmart8248 Irene, I have a saying about GGChildren that was published in a syndicated Grandparents column some years ago. "There is only one thing better than grandchildren - Great grandchildren !!! So happy for you and your growing family.

@shellyrae37 Shelly, Sorry to hear of your DH's added health problems. Sure hope they get it all under control.
Think my GP appointment went well. Still have to talk over new instructions with DH and nursey DD. -

Good morning glassie friends,
Today I see my GP for the first time since the food tube went it. Not rally looking forward to that as we have sort of gotten ourselves into a routine which she will probably want to change. Gotta be done though so we'll get ready and be there at our 2:00 pm appointed time. -

@bamaj1 Your cobalt candlesticks are lovely. I should think that are lots of collectors for angels and even more for cobalt. Good luck!!!

@songbreeze Gail, Thanks for pointing out to me that the Tinypic URL is right there where I can find it when I need it.

@shellyrae37 Shelly, The doll is stuffed. She is pretty stiff and about 40 inches tall. Actually she is a commercial mannequin. DH will probably make a box for her.

@jmart8248 Irene, Shipping will be the bug-a-boo problem. Haven't gotten into that part of the problem. The doll is not very heavy but will probably require and over size package.

@suzy Photos of babies are always my favorites. Never saw one but that I thought it was a sweet photo.
My weight is about two thirds of where it would / should normally be. -

@shellyrae37 Shelly, Hope your DH continues to do well and can abandon the smoking for good. We have only one smoker left in our family. But she really loves her ciggies.

@shellyrae37 Shelley, Yes , the problem has been caused by an 'accidental surgery' done in 2006. Had problems since then. Have the esophagus dilation done 3-4 times a year. But got much worse this time and had to go to ER.
