• Hello everyone.

Bill, And I thought it was bad here at -1! This has been a horrible winter so far.

  • Good afternoon glassies. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Carl, thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures of all of your hard work. It is simply amazing with all of the fine details. Is there anything you do not know about? LOL!

@wjweese Wendy, Thank you. I'm not sure I have ever had a piece of this pattern which is probably why I didn't know it and needed the experts help. LOL!

I am off to take some more pictures again. I'm so darn mad at myself. I posted a picture here on Saturday of a beautiful lamp my dh purchased and of course I go and break the prettiest part of it, the shade. Gosh, I am angry with myself! Now watch I will find out it was some rare piece or something. GRRR!

  • Gail, Thank you for your help and it's good to be back. The goblet does is more like thumbprints. I will take a better picture tomorrow. DH has been doing pretty good lately with buying treasures for me and I love it. Sometimes we go together looking but he seems to have the best luck.
    Nancy, thank you also!

  • Okay, that worked. LOL! Now I will try to do a couple more.

Thank you for any help anyone can offer me. I do have more, however, I do not want to bombard the board with pictures.

I hope I did this correctly as it has been quite a while since I have posted pictures.

    Thank you again.
    Tracy

  • Hello Glassies, Hope everyone is having a wonderful New Year and had a Merry Christmas!
I don't get to pop in very often but hope it is still okay to ask for expert help when it comes to identifications. Recently my husband went on a treasure hunting spree and I'm having a hard time identifying a few pieces so I am hoping one of the glass experts could possibly point me in the right direction.
Please excuse the pictures as they are not ones I have taken but ones that were posted for the sales.

The first thing is a lamp & lamp shade Whole Lamp shade
    eapg goblet

I'm going to post these first to see if I still know how to post a picture correctly.

    Thank you for any help.

  • @gabla That butter dish is gorgeous!

  • @Carma Thank you for all of your glass notes every day. I have been keeping up with them and find them very fun and informative. I have no idea how you keep all of that knowledge in your head but I am grateful that you can. 🙂

  • Hello glassies!
I have been very busy with auctions the past 3 months but did want to take a moment to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!!!
Hope everyone is doing well and hope to be able to chat with everyone again.
    Tracy

  • @songbreeze Thank you for looking Gail. I hope you have had a chance to relax and take a minute or two for yourself! Thank you also for the coffee, I needed it. Now off to bed.

    Good Night all.

  • @songbreeze Gail, Now don't go trying to look something up for me when you don't even have time for yourself. 😉 I so know how you feel too so go ahead and whine, I do.

  • Good evening Glassies. Been a crazy day for me and just now able to pop in. Hope everyone had a good day.

Gail, Thank you. No I haven't been able to figure that vase out yet. If you happen to get a chance I would so appreciate the help. 🙂

Haven't read the posts as of yet so I'll go scroll now.

  • Good night. Gail, I'm just going to bed and you are posting the morning coffee. LOL! I will wait to have some until after I sleep. 😉

  • George, Thank you for the information. It's much appreciated. Your auction items are gorgeous by the way. I can only dream of finding some of those items.

Julie, I'm happy to hear you had a really good time though and had decent weather also, what more can you ask for? It's so strange to me that it's summer by you and freezing by me. LOL!

  • Welcom home Julie. So happy you had a lovely time. Will we get to see any pictures of your treasures? I know you have to get them ready to take to the swapmeet though.

  • Don....I'm sorry. Do you mean the stuff I posted late last night? I think I wrote that I figured out what they were but never wrote what they actually were. They were actually items I should have known and was mad at myself. Anyhow, number 2 was "double beaded band" circa 1890-1892, no maker name. Number 3 is "Jeffersons Diamond Peg".

Sorry again, I honestly didn't even think to do that. Thank you Don for reminding me too.

  • Hello, In that box lot of ruby stain I bought was this, what I though was a butter dish. I read that it's Cooperative Flints No. 2 cheese dish. My question is that is this the pattern name also? All I can find is that it is the no. 2 cheese dish out of 4 that were made. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Good morning Glassies.

  • Good Night to you also George. 🙂

  • Well, I figured out number 2 & 3 on my own. 🙂 Still can't find #1 but I'm trying.

  • I purchased a large box lot of ruby stained items and was able to ID all but 3 which I'm going to post hoping for help.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Hi Gail, Thank you very much for that information. I have some different sets and the only one with the M for Mosser is the pitcher and the little glasses, the other sets aren't marked but I guess they are all Mosser. Oh well, live and learn. 😉
Thank you again for your help.

I hear you about the taxes too, I have to do ours and pretty much everyone on both sides of the family. That's how it works though, the accountant gets the taxes (and anything else that has to do with money), the mechanic does the car repairs, contractor the remodels, etc... LOL!

  • Hi again! Did Northwood Glass actually make any of the child size cherry cable pieces?

  • Good evening Glassies!

Irene, Will definitely say a prayer for Shelly and her family.

Bill, Beautiful vase. So glad to hear you made it home safely. Sounds like you had a white knuckle drive.

Carma, you ID'd the vase so quick. Wish I had half the knowledge you do. I have to look in the books almost every time.

Katie, That looks like fun. So cool that you can see that from your deck.

  • Good Night Glassies, I better get some sleep so my brain is working tomorrow so I'm able to actually type auctions correctly. 🙂

  • Bob, I'm sorry for the mix up. I think my brain is having a melt down. Thank you for the well wishes for my dh. I will be sure to watch your Fenton piece. Best of luck with your auction and hoping you have many more bids. It's a beautiful piece of Fenton.

  • @baabaamason Hi Bob, Sorry I never responded last week after I asked you the measurements about your Fenton piece. My DH had another back surgery January 22nd and just when I thought everything was calming down the poor thing (dh) slipped. I had to rush him in and was crazy around here again. Now things are finally calming down again (keeping my fingers crossed as i say that).
As for the piece you had pictured, I must say I agree with you. I can not find one thing referencing it in any of the books I have. Maybe it's an undocumented piece? Please, if you find anything out let me know. I'll keep looking too.

Hello to everyone else also. I haven't read the posts yet but wanted to pop in quickly.

  • Shelly, It's so cold here too I can't stand it. It's like 5 degrees and with the windchill it's like -15. UGH

  • Bob...If you haven't found out info on your pretty piece of Fenton could you post the height of it and I will check my Fenton books real quick.

Hi Shelly, Sorry you are having problems Internet Explorer. I finally gave up on IE and switched to Firefox.

  • Good afternoon Glassies!
    Hope everyone is doing well.
Julie, Good luck this weekend and have fun.
Gail, LMAO! While I know it's not funny that your sister is afraid, the way you explained is extremely funny. I could just picture it as I was reading your post. Thank you for making me laugh today. 🙂

  • Toby, Congrats on winning your tumblers. I agree with Bill too, can't wait to see a picture of the whole set.

  • Gail, Very beautiful eye candy, too expensive for me. 😉

  • Good afternoon Glassies.

Happy Birthday MaryMel! Hope you have a wonderful day.

Shelly, I will number them from now on when posting more than one item. Sorry about that.

  • Bob..Thank you for your help with the ID on the Cambridge piece. I had no idea that's what it was.

George...Thank you also for your help with the other pieces. The dimensions on that piece are approximately 3 5/8" tall and 5 1/8" in diameter.

Thank you both very much for your help. You don't know how much time you just saved me.

Yes, my poor DH is in bad shape right now. I'm pretty much at his beck and call for a couple of weeks. Then after a total of about 4 to 6 weeks he can get back to work. Which after being home together for that many weeks, he'll probably be extremely happy to go back to work. 😉

  • Hi again, Can anyone tell me which Heisey shapes these are? I thought they were Lariat but I think I am wrong. There are 2 of those items and then the last one I have no idea what shape it is or if it is Heisey's etch. If anyone gets a chance I would appreciate the help.

Thanks for any help. I'll be back in a bit I have to go change my husbands bandage. He had surgery again on Tuesday. This was his 14th back surgery now.

  • Thank you Bob. I didn't know that I thought all was marked. I have 3 Heisey books you'd think I would have known that.

  • I purchased more pretties this week and for some reason there are a couple pieces of Heisey with the Orchid etch but no Heisey mark. Didn't they mark all of their later pieces?

  • Good afternoon Glassies.
Thank you Gail, Helen and Fran for your help with the stemware. I will let you know if I find anything out. I'm running out of places to look. 🙂

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIM! Hope you have a great day.

Hi George. Hope you are well.

Hi to Bob and Marson also. Hope I'm not forgetting anyone but if I am I apologize ahead of time. 😉

I'm trying again. I sure hope these work this time.

  • Hi Gail. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I will try again to post the pictures.

  • Julie....Happy Aussie Day! Have fun this weekend and I hope the weather holds out for you.

Reen...I have not seen that and it surprises me. Did they send out a notice or something?

    http://i48.tinypic.com/34f1t2f.jpg

There, these last two posts worked. I'm sorry. The label is in one post and the stem in the other.

  • Okay, I think I have it this time. I'm doing it the old fashioned way.

  • Sorry I did something wrong. I'm going to try again to post the pictures.

  • Hello everyone! I can't believe USPS are raising rates again. No wonder the mailman has been so nice to me lately.

I have looked everywhere I know trying to ID this stemware. I have about 65 pieces and they have label attached but still can't ID.
They are very thin and delicate (I actually broke one in my hand). I am attaching pictures of one of the stems and the label. On the label where it has the words GES. GESCH. I know what that means but even with all the other info on the label I can not find these anywhere.
If anyone can help it would be so appreciated.

  • Good Evening Glassies! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

    Happy Birthday Lainey

  • SHELLY Thank you very much.

Is there a resident expert on the board when it comes to art glass? I have a pair of covered pokals (?) with a Pauly & C label but am having the hardest time with these. So far I have been told that they probably were made circa 1915 in Haida which I just found out is a German name for the town of Novy Bor currently located in the CZech Republic but used to be in the general area of Bohemia. Novy Bor was a major center for glassworks, and possibly the enameling was done at the Glasfachschule (a famous glass school in Haida)?
So with all of this information, I'm totally confused. I've seen pieces with Pauly & C. labels along with pieces associated with Haida go for amounts between $300.00 all the way over ten thousand. I guess I just need someone who actually knows something about this type of glass because as I said, I'm lost.

Then I get a set of china made by Nymphenburg which is a whole other problem for me. LOL!

  • Good Evening Glassies! Hope everyone is well as the holidays are upon us.

    @mainewildrose...Your granddaughter is absolutely beautiful.

Thought I would pop in to see how everyone was doing. A couple of weeks ago I finally started selling again after almost a 4 year vacation! I've actually been pleasantly surprised. It took me about 6 weeks to figure out how to get everything set up again but now that I've started I'm back to enjoying it.

Wanted to thank everyone who told me about Auctiva. I signed up and find it quite easy (now that I've read all the tutorials).

  • In case nobody has this website I'm going to post it. It's to Corning Museum of Glass library where you can download glass books. http://www.cmog.org/research/library-search?sm_vid_Object_Type=Trade%20Catalogs&query=&viewable_online=1#.UK448YY8p5o
I just put in a basic glass search and it came up with all of these but I think you can put in a more defined search if you like.

  • Good Morning Glassies! Happy Thanksgiving to all.

@Betty It's actually sunny and warm here in Wisconsin today too, going to be in the 60's which is awesome for this time of year.

  • @Helen Sorry, I just read your post about Auctiva. That is a good feature. I'm all signed up with Auctiva. Now I have to finish taking pictures and all that good stuff. I'm just going to take pictures of what I'm going to list first then I'll work on all the rest it. It's going to take me weeks to take all of them pictures. LOL!

  • @Marty Nice find! They are very pretty I doubt you will have trouble find a buyer.

    @gabla Good Night George!

    @Julie Hi Julie!

Everyone I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! I've been cooking all evening and going to bed early. Have to get an early start tomorrow. More cooking to be done before the whole gang comes over.

@gabla I meant to mention to you about another site I found. You probably know about it all ready but thought I'd check anyway. It's like a library online and you can download old glass books. I've downloaded a bunch now especially the cut glass ones. There's a lot of catalogs too. Anyhow, if anyone wants it let me know and I'll dig it out and post it.

Has anyone ever heard of Pauly & C. from Murano? I have a matching pair of covered like pokals and so far I've been told they are from Haida but nobody could tell me a name of a glass company. I know Pauly was a retailer at first so I'm guessing they didn't actually make these. There isn't a lot of information about this company and they've been around forever. So just wondering if anyone could help me with this?

Night Night to all and I'll check in tomorrow morning.

  • @Marty All I could find was a link with a couple of catalog pages referenced. http://www.cumberlandglass.org/maryland.htm

  • Hello Bill, Thank you for your help, I see that now and it says "chatroom board links". I had absolutely no idea why the boards went away on ebay. I was taking a few years hiatus from selling (not from buying though) and when I went to check in they were gone. I did find this one though and I am thankful for that and for whomever put this place together. There's a difference of opinions? No Way! LOL! Just kidding. Thank you again and it's extremely nice to "talk" to everyone again.

  • Could anyone tell me where all the old links went? There used to be all of those different links for information on different glass makers. Are they around anywhere?
Also, is there any where to go to ask about porcelain? Geez, they really did mess up the boards on ebay!

  • @oklahomasong_Gail Hi! Thank you, I will head on over to Auctiva and check it out. I've read about some of the changes but will be certain to read them all. I'm going to try ebay for a while and see how things go but with this economy who knows. I'm also thinking of checking out a new place some designer friends of mine mentioned. I have never checked Ruby Lane out but will go look at your pretty items.

@reen Thank you as well! Auctiva sounds like a decent place and not having to make my own templates anymore would be great. It used to take me forever to do one auction with all the copying and pasting I had to do. It was great for me a few years ago but I just figured there had to be an easier way now.

  • Hi Glassies! Hope all of you are doing well. I'm actually going to start listing again. YAHOO! It's about darn time too. Anyhow, I have a ton of glass and porcelain that needs to be sold. While I probably will need help with some ID's I have a different type of question right now.
What is the best way to do auctions now on ebay? I would like something that is quick but yet I can still have a pretty background. Even if it is only one background but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this anymore. I don't know if it's my age kicking in or if I just need to get back on the bicycle and it will all click?
I'm basically looking for some ideas on the quickest way but yet professional looking auctions. I'd like to be able to do at least 25 a week to start.
Any input would be awesome. I'll even pay for template(s) if I know where to go and get them.

Thank you for any help. I have to run to the grocery store with my daughter but will be back in an hour or so. I'm not going away anymore. You are stuck with me now. LOL! Hope nobody minds.

    Tracy

    P.S. Missed you all!

  • Gail...Thank you for the pattern name of the plate I posted. I will pass it along to my friend.

    Sara...Hello, nice to meet you.

  • Afternoon Everyone,

Kelli...Oh My! Are you talking about the Linda, the one who came and spent a couple nights at my house? I am so very sorry to hear such sad news. She was such a wonderful & caring lady. My condolences to Butch and everyone else in her family. If I remember correctly they were a close family. Please, if you can, send me the address through my email so I can send flowers. You still have my email address? I feel just awful as I have not spoken with her in a few years and we did have a good time when she visited.

  • NancyJean, Nice to meet you too! I should have mentioned while the site says Kralik, if you scroll down on the left side of the page, there is a name "WELZ", that is what I think your beautiful piece could be. The site mentions that many Welz pieces are mistaken as Kralik. I honestly have no clue, I just read. I am so not knowledgeable in art glass. 🙁

  • Hello Nancy, It reminds me of Welz 'Spiraloptisch' but honestly I don't know much about art glass. I happened to see it on a website and it looks similar.

  • Bob, I didn't even know you were from Minnesota! You live right above me. LOL! My brother-in-law and his wife (& kids) just moved from Phoenix, Arizona up to Marshall, Minnesota. She took a new Professor job at the college there.

  • Bob, I'm sorry, I missed that part. I really must slow down when I read. Still must have been an awesome site to see and will still show hubby the pic.

  • Hello Gail, Don, Helen, Shelly and I apologize if I missed anyone. Still trying to scroll through the posts since last night. Does Tom Bredehoft come around anymore?

  • Bob, I just saw your post with the picture of the own. What an awesome site and to get such a nice picture of it too. I am going to show dh when he gets home as he loves wildlife. Thank you for sharing.

  • Julie, I looked at your auction for the Lithgow jug, that is quite a pretty piece you have there. I know absolutely nothing about it but it is pretty. Still have my fingers crossed for you too.

  • Here is one more picture in case it will help at all. Thank you so much.
    http://i44.tinypic.com/25pp7vk.jpg

  • Afternoon Everyone, I am hoping someone can help me with this pattern. I'm helping out a friend, was able to id 4 out of the 5 pics she sent me. This plate I know I have seen this pattern but can not remember nor can not find it and believe me I have been looking. Once I id this piece for her then I can move on to my own stuff. 🙂 http://i39.tinypic.com/o9o3zd.jpg

  • Julie, Sounds very promising. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you!

  • Julie, That's awesome! Hope you receive many, many more bids too!

  • @gabla George, Thank you for your condolences. Yes, we do bleed green and gold around here. We have season tickets too. I feel for the thousands and thousands on the waiting list but still not giving up ours. They have been in the family since the 60's and were handed down to myself and my husband. Totally agree with you, they really stunk it up tonight. They pretty much beat themselves. Oh Well, there's always next year. Good night George

  • Julie and Gail, Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. I will certainly pass them on to my family.

And now the darn Packers lost! ARGH! Talk about a bad day. My husband went to bad he was so sad. I had a feeling the Giants were going to win today but didn't want to tell him that because then I would have been accused of jinxing them. We do love our Packers up here.

  • Evening everyone, Hope you all had wonderful holidays. I do apologize for not posting much sooner, however, my niece (that lives with us when she is in town) arrived home from Iraq in December and was home for Christmas and then my brother passed away on December 28th. It's been a lot of mixed emotions around here. Starting to get back to normal somewhat, niece went back to Fort Campbell, hubby is back at work so it's time for me to start working too.

  • Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to pop in to say hello before I head up to bed. Hubby and I have been out Christmas shopping and will be back at before 8:00 AM tomorrow.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELLY!

Gail...I love that tumbler, very pretty.

Laurie(Wellingtonct)....I did not see that special on PBS about Greenfield only the one about Wisconsin. Some of the houses are built like bunkers. LOL! Are house is one of them. It's a nice ranch but it's concrete, well the floors are concrete with in floor radiant heating. You may be thinking of Greendale which actually starts on the other side of our street. It's weird the way the cities are split up around here. So where are you? If you want to email me my email is luvirish@tds.net My husband grew up here in Greenfield and so did our children but I grew up in West Allis. Yes I do have 8 grandchildren that's why Christmas shopping is taking so long. LOL!

Kelli....I'm honestly still trying to find your sweetmeat dish when I am able to sit and relax but so far no luck. I will keep trying though.

I apologize if I missed anyone, just tired.

My niece just returned home to the states from Iraq at the beginning of December and she finally arrived back here today so I'm super excited. My niece and nephew have been living with us for almost two years now, well April is actually in the military but our home is her home when she's in Wisconsin. So happy to have her home safe and here for the holidays.

Well...off to bed. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I'm hoping I get some time to post tomorrow or Saturday.

    Night All

  • Hello again...Just finished cleaning up kitchen and doing all my nightly chores, thought I'd scroll a bit and go to bed.

    George....Good Night!

Lainey....So happy they found your car, what a relief that must be.

Kelli...You are being modest. From what I remember you are pretty darn smart when it comes to Italian or Murano type glass. It's nice to know that you have heard of that same company though and thank you so much for the website. I am going to look through some of my reference books and see if I can find any info on your sweetmeat dish. I really want to ID something for someone.

Laurie....Yes, I'm in Wisconsin. I live in Greenfield which is a Southwest suburb in Milwaukee County. Where are you located? It's so fun when you "meet" people that live in the same state. Without getting too personal, I read some of your post to Kelli about your nerve and muscle pain. Sounds just like me, I have autonomic nervous system failure along with a neuromuscular disorder that causes many of the same symptoms. If I do too much one day I'm down for the next two. It sucks but hey...I'm still here.

Hello to Shelly, Gail and Fran too! Fran, glad to hear you are feeling better.

Well, better let the dog out one last time and then get ready for bed. Lots of shopping left to do for my darling grandkids.

Kelli...Just wanted to let you know that I am now up to 8 grandchildren. LOL! Amanda had 2 more since I was last around the glass board.

    Shell

  • WOW! Scrolled the posts for the past few days and learned a lot along with some new websites. You are all so smart about glass it's truly amazing.

Lainey....So sorry to hear about your car. What a horrible thing to go through. If they do not find it, now I don't know how old or new your car is, but did you have the GAP insurance? I would recommend that to anyone. Praying they do find your car though and quick.

Kelli.... Beautiful glass (as usual), the sweetmeat dish, did you find the maker or pattern yet? Wanted to mention to you about some art glass I found. It is a pair of some kind of covered urns or vessels, not sure what to call them. Anyhow there is a label on them it is green and white with the name "PAULY & CO" which I had never heard of. Upon research I guess they are the oldest glass maker on the Isle of Murano (still doesn't help me to figure out what they are). I emailed the company and they asked for pictures which I sent and now they are going through their archives from the past 100 years to try and ID them for me. Keeping my fingers crossed they will know what they are. I only mention to you because you are so good with art glass and I was wondering if you had ever heard of them before?

    Sorry that was so long.

Sue (MaineWildeRose) Congratulations on the exciting news and best of luck to everyone.

Laurie (Wellingtonct) Do you live in Wisconsin too?

So many more posts to read, I doubt that anything has gone unidentified but will take a peak anyhow. Like I would know what it is anyhow. LOL!

  • Good Afternoon Everyone, I've been busy trying to get some Christmas shopping done so haven't had a chance to stop in and say HELLO!
Going to read up on the posts for the past few days to see what is all going on. Hope everyone is well.

  • Julie....LOL! I will certainly try it.

    Good night George.

Gail...I just read both websites, going to try some of the lighting they talked about. Thanks again for the sites.

Now I'm really off to bed.

  • Hi Gail, Thank you for the websites. I will for sure go read them and hopefully (crossing fingers) will figure out a decent way to get my pictures at least presentable again. Used to be no problem taking pictures, now I have new equipment and not the same old picture editor I used to have (I miss it so) but no good pictures. LOL! Should have stuck with my old ways.

Kelli...Good idea, I will for sure stop taking 100 pictures at a time like I started doing. DUH! I should have thought of that. I will be sure to have the salt with me too. Hopefully by this weekend I will actually get some auctions up and going. Again crossing fingers.

Nighters all, thank you for all of your help again and see you tomorrow after Christmas shopping. ARGH!

  • Kelli....Hello back! Hubby and I are doing well, thank you for asking. Gail told me about all of the changes, whew! What a mess they made of everything. I still say that someone who has the brains should start up a new site that was like the original ebay. I think it would do well, eventually anyhow, especially if all of the ebay sellers of collectible and antique type items would spread the word around. I'm just dreaming probably.
Going to attempt auctions again, it's taking me a long time to get pictures done correctly. I can not for the life of me figure out the proper way to set up this studio, where do the darn lights go because everything is coming out way too bright.
Anyhow...hope you and yours are doing well.

Laurie...I apologize but I don't think that I have ever "met" you, so to speak. Just had to say though that you certainly deserve a nice long hot bubble bath after the day you had. Praying your black cloud turns into sunshine and rainbows.

  • Fran..Thank you, Windows Live is the one on my computer, I will try it one more time and see how I do.

Gail...Thank you also for the ID on the butter. Happy to hear that the bottom and top actually go together too. I'm going to go back to one of my EAPG books to look at it and try to figure out why I missed it. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the help.

Thank you so much to all of you that have welcomed me back, offered so much help and given me some advice. Truly I have missed this place and didn't even realize how much I did. So happy to be back now though.

  • Here are pictures of two of the butters that I actually know go together but can't figure out what they are. The second one I took a picture of the top and bottom together and then separate. Hopefully I did this correctly.

  • Fran...I am running Windows 7, the photo editor that it came with is Windows Live Photo Gallery and I can not get it to do anything. Probably just me though. The one thing I really want is the straighten tool because for some reason I can't take a straight picture.

Also..I bought a portable table top studio for picture taking but I can't seem to get the darn lighting right. Everything seems to be much harder than I remember. Must be an age thing. LOL!

  • Nancy...Thank you, it is so good to be here again. I didn't realize how much I missed everyone and talking about glass. Well eventually getting auctions going too. I will download Picasa too and give it a try, thank you again.

Gail...I have pictures of the Classic but not the butters yet. How do I post a picture, I know, I will go read the "How To Post a Picture Link"! Geez, if I only had a brain.

  • Scott, Yes, that is true but unfortunately they were meant to be re-sold. I guess I will just sell the pieces separately. It's just more patterns I have to ID. I need to learn the patterns again anyhow, this will be good practice.

I do have a question too... The elegant glass "Classic" etch by Tiffin, I have some glasses and three of them are about 2" tall and hold approximately 3 oz of fluid. I looked on Replacements and can not find anything with those measurements under the "Classic" etch. I did however find some other etchings that have a similar size glass they call a "whiskey glass". Could that be what I have and it just not be mentioned at Replacements?

  • Shelly....Do you know if there is a "straighten" tool in Photofiltre? I tend to have crooked pictures and need to straighten a lot. I can't find how to do this in the program. Thank you again for your help.

  • Scott, Thank you for the information, if they are supposed to match then I probably bought butters that don't match. LOL!

  • I have like 5 different covered eapg butters and I can't tell which bottom goes with which top. DUH! It feels like I am having to learn everything all over again.
So this may sound dumb but do the bottoms of the butters usually match the tops? Because most of these don't match any of the tops.

  • Shelly, Thank you for the photo editor info, I will download and give it a whirl.

  • Good afternoon everyone....hope you are all enjoying your day.
Julie...Hi, how are you doing? Yes, I'm glad I found the new chatboard too. When I first went on to ebay and looked for it I was so upset and then I found the new site, I was so relieved.

Well I have a ton of pictures to upload (fun) and still trying to figure out how to do the auctions again.
Does anyone know of a good photo editing software that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, maybe even a free one.

If I have something I would like to ask for help identifying can I post it here?

  • Gail, Thank you for all of the ebay updates. Sounds like stuff they would do, that's for sure. I wish someone (with the knowledge and money) would start a new auction website. I have heard and read about so many people complaining about ebay and I am certain through word of mouth it would make it.
I sure could have picked a better time to re-start auction.

  • Hi Fran!
Thank you so much for welcoming me back! It's been so long I have forgotten how to do a lot of things on ebay. It should be like riding a bike (at least I hope)!

  • Hello George, Thank you so much. I sure have missed ebay. I don't know why, but I have. LOL!

  • Gail, Thank you so much for your help. Also so happy that you all made a new glass board for everyone. I will read the manual now and re-measure all of my glass 🙂

It sure has been a long time. I can't believe how fast time goes by anymore. I have way too much inventory, it's beyond crazy with glass and china here. My hubby said I can't buy anything new now until I sell some. LOL! I planned on starting to sell again anyhow, just haven't actually taken all the pictures and measurements, etc... that are needed to list.

I'm hoping I even remember how to list. LOL! It has been such a long time other than Packer tickets we couldn't use.

Well going to make dinner and then will be back.

    Thank you again Gail!

  • Gail, The pictures of your mall look beautiful. You have lots of pretty items.

  • Hello Glassies, Hope everyone is doing well. It has been a very long time since I have been around and was so surprised to find no glass board on ebay anymore. What the heck did they do??
I have a question, does anyone know the proper way to measure the amount of ounces a glass holds? I can't remember if you fill it to the rim or not.
    Thanks for any help.
