Came home from bootcamp and turned on my hot water tap, now it won't turn off properly. My BIL had been promising to come fix it for me (slow drip) for months now. I knew it would end up getting to this stage. He is at work but phoned my brother and he will fix it for me.
Kelli @enchantmentglass so sorry to hear about Sassy. When I was posting that card a thought did cross my mind that she may not be with you anymore . What little cuties Lucy and Belle are

Just finished up giving feedback on the Feedback Received site. In the past I have had a couple of complaints from buyers who thought they did not receive feedback when I left it through that ebay site. Is there a difference and if so can someone explain the difference?

Good morning Glass Friends,
Just past midnight and I am ready for that 'bed & book.' I'm reading a book about growing up Mormon. Interesting.
Had a few nice book orders which are now all ready for DH to pack. Seems like I am very slow tonight. I did have a very nice early evening nap. Woke up very startled as I had been so sleeping so soundly.
@songbreeze Gail , I think that most of us know how you feel about having more 'stuff' than we know what to do with. And I used to say that it won't get sold when it is languishing on a shelf. Still saying that but not getting as much done about getting it off that shelf and out there for sale on some venue.
@reen Be careful and keep a close eye on that blood pressure. Hope you can get it down soon.
@enchantmentglass Kelli, Good to see you and beautiful bowl. I could feast my eyes on that for quite some time.
-
Hello all...
@enchantmentglass Kelli...WOW on that bowl! That is a DDG piece! You had me at "Glows like crazy under UV light"....lol. So absolutely amazing that a piece like that, with that many intricate ruffles survived for as many years as it did, without any damage. But thank goodness it did so we could at least look at it...LOVE it!
Reen...sure hope you are feeling better soon...will definitely keep good thoughts for you.

Hi, glassies.
Made a trip to the Ketchum mall and unloaded 4 boxes of stuff I had worked on all week. Came home and spent the rest of day boxing up more stuff for the other malls.
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... It's so very good to see you posting again. Sorry, I'm no help. I had a similar brides bowl cased in the same colors with that splendid glow, but mine was without the enameling. I never got an ID for it other than probably European.
Hello to IRENE M and FENTON!

My Country Life magazines are all up and available------- and stored. Sure glad to have that one done.
@maryr Lovely picture of your family. I love kiddie pictures.
@enchantmentglass Pleased to know that the businesses are doing well.
This may not be appropriate for this board but I am so glad that Sandusky was found guilty on so many counts.
-
Good morning, glassies. I finally pulled myself out of bed. Just worn out by the time I got home from the auction. It was so hot and we were sweltering. A couple of floor fans and a ceiling fan and ice water just wasn't cutting it. We were all just wet noodles by the time we left.
Got some things for my booth, and a couple of Lladro I'm trying to decide if I want to put in my booth or eBay. What with eBay fees, PayPal fees, and free shipping, it takes such a chunk out of the sale I really have to figure if I do better by having it in the mall. @wattleihavenext JULIE ... I bid on some linen while thinking of you. Some embroidery, etc. Nothing fantastic but maybe I can turn a buck on it. 🙂
@maryr Marymelodee ... darling family pic! And way to go on the car repair! Incredible what a difference in cost some people will charge.
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... so glad to hear things are going so well for you all. Can understand the slowing down of the glass sales what with a good auction house nearby for you. But don't let that keep your visits here too far between.
@reen REEN ... it was SUE mainewildrose who ID the little Fostoria Rococo nappy for me. I'm so happy with the little bowls. Still trying to figure a book value or market value for them. Can't find much of any information on them.
Well, I need to start cleaning up some of the stuff I got at the auction last night, research it, and either take pictures and do write-ups, or get it tagged for one of the malls.
-
Hello all!
So glad to see you check in @enchantmentglass Kelli!
And Helen @10bbg10 you are so right. I do so enjoy reading everyones posts, no matter what they are about. So I might just start chattin' it up again, and then everyone can blame YOU...lol.
I did just acquire two new curios...new to me, from two separate nice craigslist sellers, one couple delivering it for us for an extra $20. which was well worth it! I told them when they came in that it might look as if I collect glass, but, in fact, I just collect curios and then have to fill them up...lol. And as I just wrote that, I got a faint memory flashback of someone else saying that...was it Don? Hmmm...well it so, or whomever it was, I thought it quite funny so I decided to "borrow" it 😉

Just filling in a bit of time while I wait till it's time to leave.
Helen @10bbg10 yes it should be a fun night. Always good to get away from home for awhile, even if it is only an hour drive away. It's lovely country side up that way, so the drive will be very pleasurable. It is cold outside but the sun is shining so it will be nice and warm in the car. Plus I am going to be partying with some fun loving ppl. Never a dull moment when they are around,So there will be lots of laughing and probably lots of dancing too, once we get a few beers under our belt LOL
Kelli @enchantmentglass I am really pleased that both your businesses are taking off so well. Goodonya!!! But I'm not so impressed that it is taking you away from us You have been missed here.

@enchantmentglass KELLI ... I was waiting for my sister to get home and gave her a call. She's a professional artist and went to the University of Oklahoma. I asked her if she was familiar with Roger Corsaw, and she burst out laughing. She said he was a well-known, well-respected professor that everyone was scared to death of. He was an absolute perfectionist. The only "D" she ever got in college was when she took a "Lettering" course from him in 1963. He graded the lettering tests using a jeweler's loupe. She said if you got in touch with the Fine Arts department, they'd probably have lots of info on him...and might want your pot for their Roger Corsaw Collection! 🙂

Home from my sister’s. She & her DBF came over and checked the antenna and wiring and all seems correct but still no signal. It’s definited set on TV. So odd as I watched it, then it went out on the weekend, then came back on yesterday afternoon and this morning, and then went out again this afternoon. Oh, well.
@enchantmentglass KELLI … sorry, I’m not familiar with him, but I searched ”Roger D. Corsaw” and little bits of an item here or a sound bite there showed up, but pretty much what you already know.

Evening All,
I hate tax time, I really need to get a new attitude in doing taxes, but for so long I have waited to the last day I hate to break the trend. Maybe if I were to get money back it would be different(LOL).
@songbreeze Gail - Thanks for letting me know about Fran, glad she is no longer sick and is able to enjoy life with hubby. Sorry your Argonaut Shell aka Nautilus was not the original, but I learned a lot about what to look for in it. You gotta love when the piece sells more then what people are telling you what it is worth.
@wattleihavenext Julie - Also thanks for lmk, guess with the boys out of the nest it is time for the second phase of their lives. It sure is fun with out the kids. Miss P sounds so darling, I bet you eat her right up, and has she learned to play grandma against Mom 🙂
@nicknack2 NORA - Pretty vase but don't have a clue
@enchantmentglass - Kelli - what a beautiful piece of ABP Crystal. It is very unusual, not sure I could part with it.

@enchantmentglass KELLI ... also when I go to take pictures I then wind up seeing a flaw that I hadn't spotted before so that becomes a deal-buster for me too. @sellingthings MARTY ... oh, I see where you sold it privately. Surprised at the price and happy for you, but you can't hardly give the stuff away here. Guess you need to come shopping in Northeast Oklahoma...
@fyrqueen KATIE ... I LOVE K.C. steak and ribeye. Those are about the only two I will buy...well, a t-bone once in a while but only because I can't get KC or ribeye.
@george gabla GEORGE .. I have the errata for Peterson's Vaseline book and I have the errata for the 3 Candlestick books. I already had made all of the changes for the Schenning book with the exception of the Rayed Flower line #. Such things happen - Several more to check out today !!! -

Wow, was just reading the Spring Sellers Update on eBay. Particularly thought of me, @shellyrae37 SHELLY, and @enchantmentglass KELLI when I read this..."New requirements for pictures. High-quality pictures can make all the difference in enticing a buyer to choose your item over the rest. Starting this fall, all listings will be required to have at least one picture, and all photos must be at least 500 pixels on the longest side and cannot have added borders or text (watermarks okay)."

Well, I have one sick friend and one sick dear sister... so the day was spent running errands.

@enchantmentglass : Toby & Bill pretty much covered the bases on the Dugan Art Glass. It first appeared in the wholesale catalogs in 1905 & continued to appear regularly through 1909. I've found one small assortment of it in a 1910 Butler Bros. as well, but nothing after that.
@itsagas: Dugan's Vintage Banded was made only in Carnival colors, with a brief revival by Diamond in non-iridized light green & pink in the mid to late 20's. The Custard pieces are fakes by L.G.Wright circa 1969.

Good Morning everyone, overcast this morning. Much of a repeat as yesterday. May get some scattered showers.
Thanks Helen @10bbg10 Now that eBay is the way it is. I am very choosey with what I list. I pack most items for the swap meets .So this is why I am making Pulse as much as I have because I am picking the items that are no readily seen on eBay and highly sort after here..And all items have been from DH's collections.
JulieKelli @enchantmentglass Thanks for passing on the sad news about Linda. Linda was the first person to ID an item for me when I first posted it on the GB. A pink Old Colony Lace Edge bowl by Hocking. Now that was a lot of years a go.
My condolences to Butch, Robyn and the Family -

@songbreeze Gail - In the Wheeling Book it says that this pattern was probably put into service around 1912. Which set do you have, the prices vary greatly.
@enchantmentglass Kelli - Hope you have a Very Happy Birthday and get everything you wanted and then some 🙂
-
Good morning from sunny NJ, high of 40F today. It is so not January weather, up to 50F tomorrow. At this rate, I may not get to wear my new boots this winter.
@enchantmentglass Kelli, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Have a wonderful day.
-
Good morning, glassies. Slept too late since I got to bed too late last night. Have to get the item I sold last night packed up and to the Post Office. And then my sick friend called and I will head out to her place for a couple of hours to do her laundry.
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... Happy Birthday! May I suggest you go to your profile page and put in your birthdate month and day...don't have to put in the year...and that way it will show up on the right-hand column "birthdays" box which is below the "refresh messages" box.
Better get to moving my feet and get this day in gear. See you all later....

Good Morning everyone. Well summer is well and truly here. Today we are suppose to reach 40 celsius.OMG I am not looking forward to that
Kelli @enchantmentglass in a way you can edit your post. What I do is delete it and repost with errors corrected
Marty @sellingthings OH Drats!!! Something I could have ID'ed here(your Bagely item) and I missed it!!!

Good afternoon, glassies.
@fran dbfrogs FRAN ... so good to see you checking in. How nice to be able to share the holidays with family and friends.
@amber1986 AMBER ... oh, no, I have not had my home destroyed in any way. All is well. What I was talking to Bill about were the homes destroyed in the Joplin, Mo., tornado this past year. A section of the business area has been rebuilt, but most of the damage was done to the residential areas in the path of the tornado.
@sunwoman3663 JANICE ... you go to the page where all your selling items on eBay are listed. Copy that long URL. Come back here to your profile page and paste the URL.
@donscns DON ... yes, that plate is SHELL AND TASSEL, George Duncan & Sons, #555, d. 1881. One of my favorite patterns.
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... when I see an error in something I posted and I want to correct it, I simply highlight the entire message, copy it, paste it in a new message box. I make the correction and post the message. The first post with the error...I simply hit the delete button.

@enchantmentglass Kelli - actually I'm the "House-band". Wife & I have referred to each other as the "Better Half" for over 37 yrs (next week).

@wattleihavenext JULIE ...glad you enjoyed the pot of tea. 🙂 Sorry it's heating up and you're starting to get the full heat of summer.
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... congratulations on a 100% sell-through rate. Beautiful beautiful items you had for sale.
I want to say HI to all, but I'm just worn out and a little under the weather now. Think I might have to stay home tomorrow rather than to try to get to Joplin. See what a night's sleep brings before I decide for sure. Off to bed for now though. Good night to all.

@enchantmentglass Kelli: Congrats on your sell thru rate...that is awesome!! You always have such amazing, unique and gorgeous items...glad someone is finding them, and, more importantly, buying them! 🙂
-
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... heehee, I wish I were...but actually it was William Heacock, Book III, that was brilliant! 😀
-
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... The pattern is for the syrup is ALBA, Dithridge & Co., 1894.
-
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... you have to use the person's "log-in" ID for the tag to work, not their display name. Like I have to use enchantment glass...@Kelli would not work. You would have to use songbreeze for me, not oklahomasong. It's easy when some people have the same "log-in" and "display" name...like SUZY or REEN. The only way to find the log-in name is to click on the persons name or avatar then you will see the log-in name next to their picture.
-
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... did you ever get an ID on that ruby red sugar with the really unusual lid? I noticed on the ChatAboutDG that Christine finally dropped in and being the European expert said she had never seen anything like it. Everyone agrees though that it is a most interesting piece. So anyway, was wondering if you were ever able to track it down any better.

Well, I'm exhausted, but the bed has been disassembled and carted off and the 7' queen-size futon made it out the front door. Everything straightened and vacuumed now.
@sellingthings MARTY ... don't know your items but they both look very contemporary to me.
@reen REEN ... same as Marty, I don't know your plate but it, too, looks very contemporary to me.
@donscns DON ... What a beautiful gift to yourself! You will never regret it if you spent that much time before you took the plunge to buy it. If I wait a long time, and find myself still thinking about a piece that I've left behind, then I know if it's still available I will never have regrets about buying it regardless of the cost.
@fran dbfrogs FRAN ... so glad for you that you were finally able to get a lovely Dugan piece.
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... I was just reading about all the blizzard conditions! Sounds horrible. Looks like we might be just far enough north to only get the rain...not the snow. It has been raining all day and is suppose to continue tomorrow, but the temperature will probably stay above freezing.
Well, I need to go find some bedding. Since I no longer have a bed, I'll be sleeping on the divan tonight. 😀
-
@enchantmentglass KELLI ... OK, so you HAD the sweater. What I want to know is did you actually WEAR it? !!!! 😮
@fran dbfrogs FRAN ... Sure glad you are seeing your doctor tomorrow and I'm sure he will be able to get your medicine corrected so that you will feel tip-top.
Now I started for bed about an hour ago. Since my bedroom is only 10 feet from where I'm sitting, I don't know why it's taking me so long to get there....
Good night!

Kelli @enchantmentglass I just checked this site to see if I was correct with my ID. They say "Renaissance" sugar cup by Portieux. 3010 Reference Catalog 1886, available in two sizes Known in white, pink and green. Also presented in a more flared, with the same name and a different reference. Now they don't mention yellow but I do see other yellow items made bt them so I guess they would have/could have made that sugar in yellow too.

Good Morning everyone. My computer has been making a vibrating whirly type noises on and off this past couple of weeks when I start it up.After several shutdown & restarts it would come good. But like all things it is not getting any better but happening more often. I have vacuumed the vents many times .So now it's off to the shop for them to fix. Not sure how long I will be without it
Kelli @enchantmentglass your item is a sugar bowl made by Vallerysthal/Portieux

@enchantmentglass Kelli very nice. I never see anything like that here. Maybe if I went up to Seattle - I know a couple of the estate gals and they are more likely to under price the glitz LOL

Sue @mainewildrose I understand your excitement at becoming a Grandma
Kelli @enchantmentglass & Don @donscns I am glad your auction sales are doing well. Maybe they are buyers fed up with eBay and also fed up with poor packing from some of the sellers.

@enchantmentglass KELLI ... yes, one of my favorite patterns. The same pattern as the tray up above in the banner. Be sure and spell Tassel with an "el" at the end.
-
@enchantmentglass KELLI & @wattleihavenext JULIE ... Oh thank you so much!! All these years of trying to take pictures, and I had no idea I was suppose to be using salt! I'll go to the store first thing in the morning!

Good afternoon everyone. storm came through just as predicted
Katie @fyrqueen could that bottle be a room freshener? Perfumed oil sits in the bottle and a stick goes in the hole into the liquid which then absorbs the perfumed oil giving off a nice gentle scent.
Kelli @enchantmentglass lovely vase

@enchantmentglass KELLI ... I actually have not seen the little beaded-looking frit before. It's a new one for me. Lovely little vase.

@enchantmentglass Kelli that red frit is a characteristic of a Jefferson product. They made some of the molds that originated with Northwood.

@jpthings BEAR ... my kids were 33, 34, and nearly 39 before they had their first child. Seems times have changed and the young ones are waiting til they are much older before starting their families.
@fran dbfrogs FRAN & @enchantmentglass KELLI ... I am so glad that you all did all not have any damage. The pictures on tv looked horrible, the reports really were frightening, and I really worried about you all. Hope Alicia and Lainey and Don fared well too.
@wattleihavenext JULIE ... hope you enjoyed your "lazy day." 🙂
@glassusa BOB ... what a relief when you saw that PayPal payment! Bravo for an honest Buyer!
