I agree with Bear, one does wonder how it all survived. I have a higher end glass souvenir bell from the late 1800's Chicago Exposition and discovered those are pretty scarce as most got broken. Souvenirs tend to get..umm..misplaced too. LOL.

Good morning everyone from breezy cool central CA. I can't believe we went from the high 90's last week to me wearing sweats this morning.
Love the pictures of the glass (auction) and the groupings. I went to an estate sale a while back where the person had display cases like that built for their living room and they were filled. Very high end so out of my reach.
Marty, I know people want to get as much as possible but I am NOT going to a yard sale and pay the same prices that you see in an antique mall. There used to be a woman at the flea market who did the same. I can walk in the cool, comfortable, clean, dry store and pay the same price she wanted while I walked in the mud, cold or heat.

Just poking my nose in for a minute. Two of my first thoughts on auto pay ...1) I like it because I don't have to wait days for pmt or wonder if they're going to pay at all and 2) as was mentioned, Ebay wants to close that loophole where you don't use Paypal. In the beginning they tried to tell us Paypal was mandatory until they found that wasn't legal. Now you can put it in your auctions but you have to know Ebay hates that. From time to time I see listings saying contact the buyer for alternative payment methods.
I don't mind the auto pay but as for Ebay having our best interests at heart? Don't P** on my leg and tell me it's raining.
'Scuse the very plain talk but I really hate it when Ebay thinks we're totally stupid. Just like when they told us they were going to charge a commission on shipping to keep people from circumventing the FVF with 99 cent goods and outrageous shipping. Sure, they were right but who was it set up to protect?
Thanks for the platform.

Good morning everyone. Saw the talk about grandkids and had to share. I have a sign that says "Grandkids are your reward for not strangling your teenagers."

Good morning everyone. Yesterday was very hectic so this morning I'm pampering myself by just scrolling to see whats up everywhere. (gotta get a picture on the jewelry board too) and saw the posts about scams. I put an evaporative cooler on CL last summer and got an email offering the same thing. Over what I was asking and said not to worry about packing it up that the trucking company picking it up would handle that and ship it to her back east. That immediately made me wonder since people back east don't usually use them. They increase humidity. Anyway, I questioned her(?) and prodded a bit and she disappeared.
Marty, wish I'd thought to report her too. It's disgusting for creeps to prey on those who can least afford it. Off that topic, you're so right, that vaseline glass is awesome. Wish I lived in the area of that auction even if I couldn't afford to buy, it would be worth it just to look.

Hi everyone. I'm seeking knowledge and knew I'd find it here. If possible I'd like to get an ID on this piece. No markings or labels but I was told it was a great grandmothers. I appreciate any help I can get.

Good morning everyone. I have two stems and wondered if you folks know if they're Libby or some other name? I think I asked last year but have slept since then and that, coupled with my memory, is a dangerous thing..lol. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks..Nancyhttp://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa34/nancyjg/100_2891.jpg

My printers are both HP's and I've never had any trouble with either of them. One minor annoyance is that the 920 picks up more than one sheet of paper at a time but doesn't print on the extras. The cartridge for it is on the expensive side so I refill my own. My thinking is that printers are like cars, some like one brand, some like others. There are lemons in all brands and some perform better than others. For my part, give me cheap, easy to use, and reliable and I won't care what name is on it. 🙂

Fenton, thanks again for your help.
Gail, I've had way too many days like that and have learned to put the gearshift on the "home" mark and let it be. It's like a snowball going down hill and just gathers momentum..the negiative kind..lol.

Thanks Fenton (I'm sorry, I don't know your name) I appreciate the direction. For some reason I don't "feel" Cambridge..maybe Higbee, it sounds familiar. I am soooo rusty. LOL. I've been debating on whether or not to sell it and need to research to see if it's worth it right now. I'm not doing well with anything else..LOL. I'd dig out my books but they are still buried from the move last year and the internet is so much faster.
Shelly, you did a good deed. The lady may have needed to just say it. Sometimes families won't let you.

Hi everyone. I'm njg (Nancy) from the pottery board. Thought I'd better toss my name in the Glassie ring before the axe falls. Hope everyone is doing well.
