• Nancyjean @nona I sincerely hope the good outweigh the not so good. Do take care

  • @nona Nancy Jean -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Foggy morning, but it's already 51F at 10 am, heading up to the 60s. Tomorrow it's supposed to hit 70 -- both days are considered record-high temperatures. Snow is almost all gone (except for the pile along the driver side of my car that I had to slush through this morning before heading to Yoga).

  • Good afternoon. it is another absolutely beautiful, perfect, warm Autumn day. It can't get any better then this, just magnificent.
I hope this continues on to tomorrow. It is ANZAC Day and I will be marching in honour of my father who served in WW11 and my Grandfather who served in WW1. My daughter and my grandchildren will be joining me, along with my brother and one of my nieces and her young son.3 generations marching. My sister always marched with us too, so I am sure there will be a few tears because she is not there with us.One of my other nieces and her son always marched with us too but they are over in Europe atm, last I heard (this morning when they phoned my brother) they were on top of the Eiffel Tower.

    Nancy @jerseystar27 how very exciting !! 😀

Nancyjean @nona I use to have one of those vintage Teasmades. I loved it, great for when I use to get up at those ungodly hours of the morning to go swimming. Set the alarm put water in the metal pot and in the morning the pot would boil and drain into the china teapot, then the alarm would go off and you'd have a pot of tea all ready to have before you got out of bed

  • Good afternoon . gloomy and drizzling rain here most of the day. It's predicted that Cyclone Debbie(whats left of her) will reach here tonight. We'll just get plenty of rain, flash flooding and some strong winds, nothing like the devastation she caused and is still causing up north.

    George @george Congratulations.
Nancyjean @nona Glad you are feeling much better and got out to enjoy an auction. Sounds like it would have been a lot of fun as well as being educational

    Julie

  • @nona Happy Birthday, Nancyjean!! I hope this year brings you only good things!!

  • Good evening. Been very busy with school holidays and Grandma duties.
Nancyjean @nona Not really stormy here. It's sunny but we have strong gusty winds that are just aweful to be out in.
Glad you enjoyed your visit with your grand daughter.

  • Good morning everyone. It is suppose to be our Family Reunion today but the weather is not co -operating, drizzling rain on and off. So not sure as yet if we will postpone. Thank heavens for Facebook. I set up a Group and we can all just discuss everything on there.Makes life so much easier.
Reen @reen ((((hugs)))) to you. We get so attached to our furbabies, it breaks our hearts when they are suffering.
Nancyjean @nona Gail @songbreeze is on Facebook a lot and does a lot of work on the EAPG group.
I think most of the members here are members of a lot of the Facebook Glass Groups "Vintage Glass" "EAPG" "Carnival Glass" "GLGDB" I am a member of a lot of varied Facebook Groups. Some to do with collecting and others for personal interests like camping, running, bootcamp etc. I think thats where mnost "hang out" now and thats why we don't get much action here.
    Julie

  • Good Morning everyone. A glorious sunny morning down here
nancyjean @nona Maybe no one likes my coffee LOL There was no one here at all yesterday, so I didn't bother posting another coffee.
    Julie

  • Nancyjean @nona I would love to see a pic of your new find. I think we are all guilty of breaking our rules when it comes to buying and selling . We just can't help ourselves

  • Good Morning everyone. I've been out in my van unloading the swapmeet stuff and cleaning. I am taking my 5 yr old grand daughter away camping by the river over the weekend. It will be our first camping trip together. Looking forward to it. 😀
Reen @reen sun is shining atm but maybe some showers later.Temps are starting to drop to a more bearable level for us.
    Carl @carma DDG
G'day Tincey @1citydude you should post more often, even if it's just a "hi" 🙂
Nancyjean @nona I think we are always up for learning an easier way to do things. Thanks

  • @nona NancyJean -- Happy Birthday!!

    @george George -- don't wash away!!

  • Good Morning everyone. It will be my usual Tuesday.. babysitting and taking the little darlings up to visit Mum.
Nancyjean @nona Fingers crossed the weather will be perfect for the beach wedding.
Don @donscns that's a beautiful lamp but sorry I am of no help
Katie @fyrqueen last week we did bootcamp training on the river bank and saw the most spectacular double rainbow that was a full arc in the sky. Not often you see a complete full arc let alone a double one. It was gorgeous
    Julie

  • Good Morning everyone. We had some really good rain over night and now the sun is shining.
Nancyjean @nona I am glad you enjoy the morning tea and coffees
Shelly @shellyrae37 yep won;t be long and it wil be summer here. NOT looking forward to that. Too hot for me.
Gail @songbreeze I am glad you are taking a rest and also pleased you have been enjoying some of lifes little pleasures.
    Julie

  • @sfinds Sharon, Happy Birthday!!!

And a belated Happy Birthday to @nona Nancy Jean.

Still snowing here, probably 3 or 4 inches so far. I hope we don't get too much of the wintry mix. It is supposed to be in the 40s tomorrow but down to 18 on Monday so everything will freeze. Ugh.

  • Good morning, glassies. Oh, I've missed so much on the Chat. I've really been pretty dizzy, wobbly all week and haven't even read all the posts. So sorry.

    ++++++++HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the Sweet People I've Missed... NANCYJEAN @nona ~ MIKE @bdogmike ~ JANICE @sunwoman3663 ++++++++

I'm feeling SO MUCH BETTER today. Saw my doctor yesterday and he said "Gail, never wait a week when we have our appointment to let me know you aren't feeling well. You call me immediately." He gave me medicine that was miraculous for the nausea. I ate my first meal in a week last night. Chicken livers, baked potato with sour cream, applesauce, cottage cheese. I am a very happy Chemo Camper today. 🙂

Looking forward to getting home this afternoon and going back a week and a half on the scroll to catch up.

Oh, BUTCHIEDOG is fine. He's very active on Facebook all the time. He goes by John Nhoj .

  • Good morning everyone. Just a fly by visit. I am heading up to visit Mum today and I have been busy the previous days with the grandkids. I am enjoying the rain but not so much when it stops and the sun comes out. The humidity and heat is a killer

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANCY JEAN @nona
    and
    SUSAN @whodat111

  • @whodat111 Susan and @nona Nancy Jean -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope you both have a wonderful day.

  • @nona & @songbreeze - Co-Op #295 is the pattern for the cordials... now anyone know of a date other than the dates usally associated with EAPG of 1890 to 1910???

  • Gail @songbreeze & @nona NANCYJEAN - Thanks for the info... I will check out both patterns as much as possible with the limited EAPG material that I have here at the house... If I can come up with a definite match I'll be back to report... but first I have to get some cleaning done around the house... Talk to you soon, Jesse

  • @jrmrock JESSE and @nona NANCYJEAN ... I agree with Nancy Jean that it is Cooperative Flint but I don't think it is Fancy Cut aka Rex. I think it is possibly Co-ops #295, but I can't find a good photo of it anywhere. It's a poor catalog pic on page 323 and 324 of Autenreiths' Co-Operative Flint Glass Co.

  • Good morning, glassies. Bright sunshine day...suppose to reach 90°.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... I received the sugar yesterday and it is just gorgeous! Love it!

@newtonenterprises JIM D ... I put the card in the computer slot yesterday and was able to get my photo transferred. But that is the first time I have ever used the card. I MISS my USB cord. It was so easy as I just hooked it to my camera and the photo program started automatically.

Good Morning, DON, SHELLY, and CARL!

  • Good morning, glassies. Hopefully I'll get some items photographed and listed today. It's hard to push myself out of my lazy summer habit. 🙂 I really liked sitting in my recliner, crocheting, and watching Netflix! Another hot day in the 90s and then tonight a cold front thankfully moves in. Yea!

@nona NANCYJEAN ... I didn't realize until I saw your name on the email that you are Glass Alley on Ruby Lane. I'm on RL as Gail's Glass Gallery.

HI to SUZY, SHELLY, CARL, BOB, DON, JIM D, and GEORGE!

  • Good Morning everyone, sun is shining this morning and everything smells so fresh after yesterdays rain.
Going out for morning tea with one of my gorgeous neices this morning 🙂
Nancyjean @nona Yes I love Spring and Autumn.BTW I have friends travelling over in the Middle East They are having a real adventure. I hope you have no problems with your buyer
Shelly @shellyrae37 I am sorry you are still having issues with your wrist (((((hugs)))))
    Julie

  • @nona NANCY JEAN ... just doing better and better each day. I just returned from WalMart and did all my shopping pushing a cart instead of having to use a riding one. 🙂 I fixed a very nice supper last night that I shared with my sister and even made chocolate pudding for dessert. Big difference from supper being either cold cereal or carry-out because I wasn't cooking. I'm still having my rest period but feeling perkier by the minute.

@sellingthings MARTY ... Are you confusing Chris's Pitcher with something else? Waterford made a lot of pitcher shapes.. http://search.replacements.com/texis/search?order=ClientCount-d&query=waterford%20+pitcher

@webmaster CURT ... thanks for all your help.

@reen REEN . the triangular shape on is HICKMAN aka LA CLEDE aka JUBILEE made by McKee Brothers (1897) then by Federal Glass Co. (1914)

    HI to MARSON and CARL!

  • @nona Nancyjean - What does the inside base of the 2496 7" 3-toed bowl show ? Is the floor (?) of the base plain or is there a "starburst" type design?

  • Good evening, glassies. Had church this evening and it's a beautifully mild evening. There is an auction tomorrow night that I'd really like to go to. It starts at 5:00 and if the weather is the same as today it would be nice enough to go to. I'd take a stool or chair. Most of it looks like junk, but hiding in some lousy pictures were a couple of fun things: a blue Northwood Klondyke butter dish, a Tassel and Teardrop water pitcher. There were a few other items I'd like to check out. I really want to go and wouldn't hesitate if this were 3 months ago when I use to have energy. 😀

@shellyrae37 SHELLY .... sure hoping we hear from AMBER soon. Thanks ever so much for sending her a card.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... we want pictures! Show us your new finds!

@reen REEN ... I tried crocheting a little purse last night. Certainly very amateurish, but for a young kid that doesn't matter. 🙂

  • Nancyjean @nona yep is sure is great living where I live, close to beaches and the family.I have seen DD and grandkids every day this week so far (today is Wednesday) and I will see them all tomorrow too. Plus I get to spend the entire day with Miss P tomorrow
    Julie

  • @nona NANCYJEAN ... I looked at the Beta for Ruby Lane yesterday and I absolutely positively LOVE IT! I can hardly wait for it to go live...August 13th, isn't it? I am very very happy with the change.

  • @nona NANCYJEAN .... glad to hear that you are on top of it, and I truly hope it turns out to be the real deal!

@fyrqueen KATIE ... hope you are mending well.

@reen REEN ... you too with mending! I made a little cap and got part way through the muffler and went back to get more yarn and they no longer had the color!!!!!! ratzoid! So I got some new yarn and I'm making a little baby cap.

Tomorrow I should really put the crochet hook down and get busy with listing some glass. I certainly have a ton of it boxed up and stacked up. Since it's stuff I took out of the one mall where I closed my booth, I already have it labeled with pattern and maker and what price I want. Mainly it's just taking it out and photographing the stuff....uh oh, makes me tired to think about it. 😀

  • Good afternoon, glassies. Back home from the doctor's office. Broke out in a considerable rash and it appears I am allergic to the dye they used in the angiogram. 🙂 http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages/showimage.aspx?gid=1443369&image=403607350&images=403607350&formats=0&format=0&lgdin=1

@nona NANCYJEAN ... I want to smile and jump up and down and say Congratulations and bring out the balloons......but instead my body and mind are saying "Be cautious, be very very cautious..."

  • Good afternoon, glassies. Sold a large bowl I had to get packaged and off to the Post Office.

    @sfinds SHARON ... New Martinsville's RADIANCE, I believe.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... prayer shawl group and chemo hats sound splendid. Email me some more info, please.

@reen REEN ... I signed up for the internet patterns and have printed off one for a hat and shawl for a child. Will have to get to work on trying the hat.

HI to AMBER, DON, and GEORGE.

  • @sfinds SHARON ... wow, I wish I had someone who lived nearby and could house sit whenever I take my east or west coast trips. That would be so grand.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... so glad you were able to get back into the Chatroom. Are you getting your new computer this weekend? I know it will be a joy once it's up and running.

@jmart8248 IRENE M ... I've just given ebay a miss this year. I think I sold 2 things in January and though I listed a half a dozen things in February and March nothing sold. I just haven't bothered to try to list since then. Would hardly even get people looking much less selling. Frustrating isn't it?

@wattleihavenext JULIE ... sorry you keep getting your swap meets rained out. Look forward to when you get back home. Miss having you post here.

Spent the day doing little odd jobs about the house and also working on getting all my pictures of glass edited and sorted into folders on the computer. Kept me busy all day but still feel like I hardly accomplished anything. 🙂

  • Good morning/afternoon glassies. We’ve had thunderstorms all morning long. The thunder was just continuous rumbling with hardly a let-up for quite a while. It’s slowed down a bit, but suppose to be an on and off event for the day.

@reen REEN … you must be exhausted. Hope you get some rest today before you have to start up again on Saturday and Sunday.

@george GEORGE … certainly keeping you all in my prayers that all goes well with your DW’s surgery. I remember when you all had to move because of her back problems and the difficulty the house you lived in presented for her.

@carma CARL … it’s just been grand to watch the developement of the train layout. You could have waited til finished and showed it all at once but that would never have had the impact or the understanding of all the work and artistry to accomplish it . This has just been super to watch it taking shape from the very start. I still say you should publish a little book with all the steps and tips and instructions alongside all the photos for the train enthusiasts.

@nona NANCYJEAN … would love to see pics of your latest auction buys. Glad your medical tests and visits are behind you. Hope all is going well for you now.

HI to LAURIE, DON, KATIE, AMBER, MARSON, and BILL!

  • @nona The gas bubble is gone so now to wait while everything stabilizes then new glasses.

  • Good morning, glassies. I was soooo tired yesterday when I finally finished all the errands that I came home, hit the bed, and slept for 3 hours. Got up and fixed some supper but never really seemed to wake up for long. 🙂 Got a good nights sleep, but still not full of energy. It's cold and raining and I'm still sipping coffee and in my pajamas. Got to get to moving soon and drive over to Fairland and restock my booth.

@donscns DON ... love the extras with coffee this morning!

@george GEORGE .... I sure hope you are doing well. Isn't tomorrow the day you will be able to freely move about?

@nona NANCYJEAN ... ditto what you said!! 😀

  • Good Morning everyone. Looks like another hot humid day ahead for me. YUCK!! I was planning on mowing the lawn but it can wait . I'll probably regret doing that because it does need mowing but the humidity really zapps my energy. I plan on recovering the "new" dining chairs I bought earlier in the week
Katie @fyrqueen Funny how our brains work while we are sleeping LOL I often have the strangest dreams and wonder where it all came from
Now Now Jack @fracnjan don't you go saying nasty things about my beloved vegemite . LOL
Nancyjean @nona my little grandson is now 5 months old. Here is a pic I took of him yesterday in his new walker
    https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/8195_3030131769784_1309834373_n.jpg
George @george I am glad your eye is improving

  • @nona NANCYJEAN .... I really really really like Ruby Lane. No, I don't sell a ton of stuff, but what I do sell, I'm always happy about. These two items I just sold...well, if I had sold them on eBay, the fees would have reduced the sale by nearly 25%. I look at RL as being a booth at a mall that has no commission fee. More than anything I love how very nice everyone seems to be and how helpful.

  • Good afternoon everyone. Wednesday has become a very full on day for me now.Swimming, walking coffee with the other swimmers,Sporty Kids with Miss P and after that a huge walk along coast up some very steep hills pushing a pram with Baby and Miss P in it. But there is a restaurant at the end of it and we enjoyed a nice breakfast and then the walk back again to the car. I left home here at 4a.m and arrived back home at 1.30 p.m. And will be heading back out at 4.30p.m to the Guns n Roses, ZZ Top and Rose Tattoo Concert. No sleep in tomorrow as I have to have Miss P at Gymberoo by 9 a.m. Then we will go up to visit Mum
    Fran2 @fran2 Nope that's not my auction
Miss P is 2 years old
Nancyjean @nona I haven't even calculated what shipping to USA would be for that platter. Years ago when the cost was lower and your dollar was stronger then ours, it was still a hefty amount.
Marson @panishklo Naturally Miss P gets all her good points from her Grandma . All the bad ones she gets from her fathers side....raoflmao
Julie..wondering if she can fit in a Nan Nap

  • Good afternoon, glassies. Spent most of the morning watching the coverage of the Papal Conclave. I have a window open with live streaming.

@shellyrae37 SHELLY ... I look forward to seeing pics of your buys. Spelling alert from your local Spelling Police...it's TarEntum, not TarAntum.. 🙂

@nona NANCYJEAN ... Thanks so much for the kind words on my RL shop. I really HAVE to get busy and list another 30 things. They raised the fees so now the minimum you pay accounts for around 80 items in your shop rather than 50. I really must get busy.... 😮

@carma CARL ... We really need a progress report photo...I love seeing the progression of the building of the set.

HI to JULIE, FRAN2, DON, GEORGE, and FENTON!

  • Nancyjean @nona I didn't post a pic of Miss P here. I had emailed it to Shelly
Here is the pic of my little precious
    https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/577993_10151281687512827_1672308880_n.jpg

  • Good morning, glassies. Up and at it early. I left 2 bids at an auction that was held Saturday night and I have to drive over to Afton and pick the stuff up at 10:00....no glass. One thing was an elliptical. Now lets see if I can find someone to get it out of the box and assembled....and then see if I will actually use it. 😆

Busy as a bee lately...laundry, dog grooming, bank twice, car lubed, vacuuming, pharmacy, groceries, errands for friend, cleaning out car (to make room for the elliptical I'm getting this morning), post office, flea meds for cats and dog, on and on and on, but that's all I can think of right now.

@wattleihavenext JULIE ... sorry you met up with some rain at your latest swap meet, but you always seem to make the very best of all occasions and have an enjoyable time with friends.

@fyrqueen KATIE ... I see you are home from your vacation. Hope the trip home was good and you aren't overworking now.

@nona NANCYJEAN... so good to see you back and posting!

@amber1986 AMBER ... wow, a new computer! What fun! want to hear all about it.

    Good Morning to ALL glassies!

  • @nona Nancy Jean, I love your glass pumpkins. And I would think they are quite an unusual item to collect.
Had some problems today printing shipping labels through the PayPal site. Finally got them done and off to the post office. Now to relax for a bit before the next scheduled feeding. I think poor DH is about worn out.

  • Hah! Hooked up the keyboard again, still wouldn't type. So I just started punching all the different weird keys on it and all sorts of strange things happened. Shut the computer down, fired it back up, and VOILA!, it works.

Got to print a label and mail a purchase. Also have to try to capture my porch cat. I tried 2 days ago during the snow for nearly an hour and never could find her. She has to go in for a rabies today when I go to pick up my friend's cat who I had spayed.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... I opened a store on Ruby Lane in November...Gail's Glass Gallery and Tiques. I still haven't even managed to get 50 items listed yet. And now starting in March I need to get it up to at least 80. Just need time ... and energy ... to do so.

@carma CARL ... I just can't fathom having to deal with the winters that you have.

    Good Morning, GEORGE.

  • Good morning from cool, windy NJ (at least no precipitation). Happy Birthday to NANCY JEAN @nona & SUSAN @whodat111 -- wishing you a great day!

And sending {{hugs}} and healing thoughts to @shellyrae37 Shelly's DH.

@10bbg10 Helen, good to see you today, too. Sure wish I could send you some of my pounds -- I'd be happy to share. ;~)

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY
    SUSAN @whodat111
    and
    NANCY JEAN @nona

  • @nona NANCYJEAN .... what an interesting vase. I've never seen one like it. Sorry I can't help.

@10bbg10 HELEN ... I set up several Master profiles. One for books, one for EAPG, one for other glassware, and one for items other than glassware. I'd go nutzoid if I had to retype all that stuff and remember it from listing to listing. I love you plugging in the Master Profile number and clicking on Enter. 🙂

Got to go get dressed and head out soon for Tulsa.

  • @nona NANCYJEAN .... this site is saying FENTON. I don't have too many Fenton books but I'll look at see if I can find it.
    http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/fenton-amethyst-carnival-glass-puritan-compote

  • Good morning Glass Friends,
@nona Looks like you have a winner. Happy for you! I love a winner!!!

Waiting for DH to bring up a book that sold and trying to print a shipping label for an eBay item that sold. I have a fairly new printer which is telling me that it needs toner. I don't have a new toner cartridge. Guess that means a trip to Office Depot. I usually keep an extra on the shelf. Will check out what they cost on eBay so we'll know how much it hurts to pay Office Depot price.

  • @nona NANCYJEAN ... Just pure speculation until hopefully @carma CARL shows up....but wondering if this is a more recent item. I know that LE Smith got some of the McKee molds and used the carnival treatment on them in the 1970s for a line they called HERITAGE. So I'm just wondering if someone got the molds for this pattern and gave it the carnival treatment. I can't find anything in my McKee book that says McKee originally made carnival glass.... well, just speculating for now......

  • Good morning, glassies. Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday.

@maryr MARYMELODEE ... I run one window a/c during the day and then at night the window a/c in the bedroom. Wish there were something here known as "cool air" in the night. 🙂 Last night at 10:00 pm, it was still 91°. The lowest we've been reaching at night is usually high 70s or low 80s. We've just consistently been at triple-digit temps during the day.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... This is all I could find on that pattern http://www.ddoty.com/puritan.html . You need CARL/carma to weigh in on your item.

    HI to DON!

  • Nancyjean @nona almost all Fenton remakes of other companies' pieces are marked with a script F and possibly a regular Fenton logo (with the small number for the year).

  • @nona NANCYJEAN ... Is the auction on the internet with pictures posted? If so, just copy the URL so we can see them, then maybe people here can offer advice on the items. Also much of the Wright stuff was actually made by Fenton.

  • Good Morning.. cold here this morning @ 4° Celsius but I am not complaining. Winter is my season. It is suppose to reach a top of 18°C and be a clear sunny day.
Carl @carma Good Luck at the markets. Reading your post brought back some memories of Dh & I just about every weekend getting up at those hours and heading off to a market somewhere. OMG and we both worked full time jobs through the week. How did we do it LOL
Have to agree with you there about Lindt’s Lindor Chocolates. Ferrero Rochers chocolate are yummy too And I have to be loyal, Cadbury's Choc (Aussie) is darn good too
Gail @songbreeze That Davidson piece is the last of my cloud glass collection 🙁 The other items are just random pieces of green depression glass I had picked up some years ago and have had them stored in a cupboard I am downsizing. It had bowls upon bowls all balanced on top of each other. I mean how many bowls does a person need/use? LOL I still have plenty and getting it down to just keeping the full sets that I can and do use.
Irene @jmart8248 If you need rain….. plan a picnic. For me down here it is usually when I spray the yard for bindis it will rain or when I wash the car LOL
Nancyjean @nona I used to love going on buying trips with DH. It was so much fun, just loved it. More fond memories
    Julie

  • @nona: I just can't drive through Lititz without stopping and buying chocolate at heir factory retail store. Hershey chocolate used to own and sell ice cream a Friendly's. I think they sold out to Pepsico, and I don't know who now. I just know that the ice cream and the store is not nearly as good it used to be. JimD

  • @jmart8248 IRENE M..... LOL @ planning a picnic to encourage rain.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... Hershey Ice Cream? Never had it but it sounds heavenly!

  • Good Morning everyone. chilly here this morning
Nancyjean @nona King Tide is a high tide well above average height. BTW most of those photos I posted were not mine. They were taken from websites down here.
Amber @amber1986 I love the ocean and this may sound a bit weird but I love it when it is ”angry” like this. I could sit and watch it forever.
Fenton @ohiostar Beautiful glass. Thanks for sharing with us.

    Happy Birthday Curt @webmaster

  • Good Morning everyone. Swimming was a No Goer again this morning. King Tides and storms have battered our beaches something fierce. And there was no sign of there even being a pool under all that surf.
Don @donscns I am so glad to read your seller was one of the sensible ones that knew how to pack fragile glassware
Gail @songbreeze I am glad your seller was easy to deal with and refunded your money
Toby @abzoid sorry you didn't win the item you wanted at Clums
Nancyjean @nona Glad to hear you are all Ok
    HI @dave

For those intrested, some pics of the Ocean Baths during this weeks storms and there are some older shots when all is calm

  • @sellingthings MARTY ... I looked in TAGF Kitchenware book but in spite of a gazillion reamers pictured I still couldn't spot yours.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... sorry to hear there have been rocks in the road for you. Glad to see you posting though and hope everything is running smoother for you now.

  • Reen @reen sounds like you and Katie are having a lovely time
Shelly @shellyrae37 COME ON DOWN!!! Oh it would be fun having a day or 2 with you selling at a swapmeet.
Don @donscns I am ashamed to say that I love the smell of bush fires. But not the destruction that they do.
BTW DDG glass. Thanks for sharing.
Nancyjean @nona I hope you heal very quickly
Gail @songbreezeI am glad your having a good onth with sales

  • @sellingthings MARTY and @nona NANCYJEAN .... I'm still looking at Central Glass Works line #2000. Can't locate the etch either yet so maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.

  • I can still say Good Morning to those of us west of the Mississippi... Good Afternoon to all others. 🙂 Back muscle spasms most of the night from standing so long at the auction and carrying so many boxes so slept really late today. Not complaining, had a great time, and now hauling all the boxes out of the car and having fun going through them.

@donscns DON ... I know you must be exhausted from the last two weeks of all the end-of-year activities at school. Hope you are able to get a much needed rest with lots of fun packed into it before August arrives.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... oh, I feel for you big time when smacked up the back of the head with those unexpected expenses. ouch, ouch, double ouch. Lovely bowl and glad CARL was here to help you with it.

@george gabla GEORGE ... so good to have you back and glad you had a good trip.

Waving HI to CARL, FENTON, and SUZY!

  • @nona Nancyjean if I remember correctly you do not sell on ebay so I'm guessing it's another site that you sell on. Can you give us a link to it? You always find such interesting pieces and I would enjoy looking at your listings, as I'm sure others would as well.

  • @jpthings BEAR ... I think if you go to where it shows it has sold and click on the View Sales Record from the drop-down menu, the screen that comes up lets you print the invoice and possibly re-send it....maybe. 😯

@dolores1953 DOLORES ... I bet that was quite an uncomfortable situation between the Uncle dermatologist and the new SIL. Sure it must have brought a smile or two.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... oh, I keep almost nothing. I've already listed it on eBay. I have such a small house and no room nor even desire to have a collection. I love buying and selling and mainly the treasure hunt. Once in a blue moon, I keep something.

    HI to FRAN2. 🙂

  • Good morning, glassies. HI to BEAR, JULIE, CARL, NANCYJEAN, & GEORGE.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... I'm with you, why they don't make those tanning beds illegal or at least plaster them with gigantic warning signs like they do cigarettes.

Sorry you all are getting nasty weather. We've just been so fortunate to have the mildest winter ever and have fully been in the grips of Spring since February. Most unusual weather and have enjoyed every day of it.

Hope I get something worthwhile accomplished today, but will just have to wait and see. Laziness is a chronic condition for me so there's no telling what will or will not get done yet today. 🙂

  • Nancyjean @nona I think sometimes getting good prices for items is all to do with luck. Lucky to have the right thing at the right time, that more then one person is desperately wanting And Lucky to be at the right place at the right time 🙂
    Julie

  • @nona: If there's someplace where Stretch Glass prices are "zowie" and going "skyward", I'd sure like to know where it is. I've virtually stopped buying it because you can't hardly give it away anymore.

  • Good Morning everyone. Sun is shining today but we are expected a little more rain on & off through out the day. But basically the rain is over... for a few days anyhow.
Shelly @shellyrae37 I have phoned Mary Pat a couple of times to see how her and Lars are doing but have not managed to catch them at home. I always get the answering machine. Must phone again soon. Surely I will catch then one day.
nancyjean @nona I think sales for a lot of lovely glass has dropped. I am getting better prices for my glassware at the Swapmeets then I would on eBay.
    Julie

  • @shellyrae37 SHELLY ... I have to go in today and make certain Brazil is in my exclusion list. I ship Worldwide but have lots of exclusions. I only ship to the countries that ShipSaver will insure. They have a big list of countries they will not insure shipments to, so I just copied their list and pasted it into eBay's exclusion list.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... You're doing a real Spring cleaning there! It's sure a good feeling, isn't it, when you can tackle forgotten areas in the house and get them sorted and cleaned out. I have to work on finishing the IDing and tagging of the stuff I got at auction this past weekend and get it into boxes for the 3 malls I have booths in. A couple of things I want to take pics of and try to eBay. Guess I better go get to work...

  • Good Morning everyone, More rain! Some areas got hit with 82mm in just 2 hours, so flash flooding happening in some places.Have scrolled the board and waved to you all as I read your posts 🙂

    Happy Birthday
    Nancyjean @nona
    and
    Susan @whodat111

  • Happy Birthday Susan @whodat111 and Nancyjean @nona -- wishing you both a wonderful day!

  • Nancyjean @nona I think about this time last year I was about to cark it LOL There had been so many hot days & nights in a row and I thought I couldn't possibly survive another one.I am loving it this year, though we really have had enough rain, especially for the flood prone areas that have to cope with the flooding. Besides I have a swap meet to travel to tomorrow for the weekend and I do want it to be dry Approx 4-5 hour drive one way.

  • Good Monday Morning everyone. My sleep in day so why did I get up at 6a.m LOL We had a good downpour of rain about 5a.m this morning.
Fran2 @fran2 & Nancyjean @nona I am very excited about my auction. 🙂 Not a bad price for a damaged piece of baked dirt LOL. That auction and my weekend away at the swap will pay for my Bali Holiday. Can't complain about that 😀
Fenton @ohiostar I seem to remember seeing that tumbler (or very similar) somewhere before. I checked Vallerysthal and a couple of other sites I thought was where I'd seen it but couldn't find a match . Angela Bowey's Glass Message Board I am sure will help. Lots of knowledgeable ppl there that know European Glass
George @george I hope your DD gets their power back soon
Carl @carma sounds a little too cold for me LOL
    Julie

  • Good morning, glassies. Going to warm up a bit today and maybe reach into the 50s but right now the wind is howling. Love to listen to it.

@jpthings BEAR ... which Heisey books have you checked so far. I have Bredehoft's HEISEY GLASS 1925-1938 and Bredehoft's HEISEY GLASS 1896-1957. Have you, @nona NANCYJEAN, and @george gabla GEORGE already searched those two books? If not I'll check when I get back from Church this morning.

  • @nona nancy Jean - My battery is charging, I looked through a couple of Heisey books and didn't find it. I will try to post a picture tomorrow. Thanks for the offer 🙂

  • nancyjean @nona - supposed to be a woman in W.Va. that has something like 50 + feeders on her porch and patio. She claims that at any given time there are 75-100 hummers around her house. I saw videos of her standing with hummers on both hands & more hovering around her like a swarm of bees. I suck up any info, videos, pics, etc on hummers. I luv the lil guys.

  • nancyjean @nona - love hummers. try to keep at least 3 feeders full at the campground. Got a nice surprise early last Fall when I went to retrieve a feeder to fill. Hummer came & landed on feeder when I picked off Shepherd's Crook. He looked at me & chirped very loudly then flew off a few feet and hovered. Flew off into pine tree near camper & returned as soon as I filled feeder & put it back. I think the same one came around on daily basis throughout the early fall.

  • @nona NANCYJEAN ... Where are you located? There isn't much EAPG around here...and of that that is here, well, noone knows what it is or cares. I don't sell much of it, but I LOVE it and can't keep myself from buying it.

  • @itsagas BILL ... yes, that's exactly what happened. My post was right after Shelly's post...then later there were 3 posts between it. Will now remember to refresh!

@allirish123 TRACY ... believe the pattern is JERSEY SWIRL ...originally by Windsor Glass Co, later reproduced by L.G. Wright. I don't know how to tell the difference.

@nona NANCYJEAN ... wow, what a DDG piece!

  • @nona NancyJean I bought a lavender glass pumpkin at the Fenton Collectibles store in Missouri several months ago....I almost bought 2 because they were so cool! I can definitely see how they can be a great collection, but everyone knows I don't have room for a new collection...lol.
Yes the dgk's definitely grow quickly thats for sure!

  • @nona Nancyjean LOVE your pumpkins....although I am torn, as I miss seeing that cute baby too! 🙂

  • @nona I'm trying to avoid the game, DH is an avid Giants fan and tends to disagree (loudly) with the officiating.

  • @nona NANCYJEAN …. heeheehee … you should see me trying to search on Czech eBay by going back and forth with Google Translate 😀

  • @nona NANCYJEAN ... yes, if it is Czech and from that shop I guess a little candy container would work. Could also be a toothpick holder or shot glass. I guess all three are possible and might appeal to people that collect in those categories. I'm still more interested and being able to find out about the company. When was it in business, is it still in business, is this definitely from their company, etc.

  • @nona NANCYJEAN ... yes, I think it could be a little shot glass, but I'm not at all familiar with the name on it. Wondering who made it and what Orion Marsner is.

  • @nona NancyJean must be a local term first time I have heard it. I notice that Barlow & K in their Sandwich opus say that it is English not made at B&S.

  • @nona NANCYJEAN ... I've not seen anything like that vase before and was totally unfamiliar with the term fireglow. It was fun doing a search and trying to learn more about it.

@kasi KASI ... I surely remember how busy you are doing rodeo time. I'm sure you're having a great time.

@scott SCOTT ... beautiful shaker and so glad NANCYJEAN could ID it for you.

@reen REEN ... hope the weather improves for you, stay warm and safe in the meantime.

@wattleihavenext JULIE ... It's so super you can see your DGD whenever you want. I miss my grandkids so much and only have their pictures to turn to. 🙁

@10bbg10 HELEN ... sorry, but I don't have any idea who made your little cups.

It's early but I think I'm going to hit that new and very comfortable bed... 😀 Good night to all.

  • @nona Great, thanks so much for the info!
    Scott

  • Just back from a quick little visit to see Miss P. I hadn't seem her since Wednesday so Grandma was having withdrawals LOL
katie @fyrqueen Yes definately this computer is out to get me LOL I think it is possessed LOL
nancyjean @nona re What looks familiar to me is the decoration Yes I feel that I have seen this decoration too. Was it MM who had a pink vase like this with the same or maybe similar decoration???????
@kasi glad you had a lovely birthday. Hope to see you here more often when life slows down a bit for you 🙂
