Good Morning Glassies… Sorry I’ve been gone so long, but man my sales on Etsy, and in my showcases have been wonderful since October, and I can barely keep up with that let alone anything else… I was hoping someone might be able to help me with this Green Depression Footed Tumbler… It measures 5 and 1/8 inches tall, 2 and 5/8 inches […] View

@jrmrock JESSE ... took a quick look in Whitmyers' Fenton Art Glass Pattern: 1939-1980. Page71 shows a photo of a #7155 Peach Crest 5" double crimped vase like yours and says it was introduced in 1949 and discontinued 1954. BV $30-35

Good morning, glassies. Spent all day yesterday working my booths at a couple of malls. One fleamarket I'm actually gradually taking it all down and packing it up. Was really tired and hit the bed earlier than usual. Slept poorly in spite of being tired so it's pretty easy to predict a Sunday afternoon nap on the forecast. πŸ˜€

@dorbitz JIM L ... hope the 5 miles energizes you, and you wind up with an enjoyable and productive day!

@shellyrae37 SHELLY ... Lovely lamp! Is the other shade completely gone or is it just damaged where maybe you can turn it so the damage doesn't show? Otherwise I would do a saved search on eBay. Never know when someone might have one... I've never see or heard of the bird whistle before. Is it just for fun or what?

@donscns DON ... glad you got some rain. I can't imagine living in an area so dry. I love a good rain storm.

@jrmrock JESSE ... lovely Hickman item. Definitely a celery vase at that size.

@suzy SUZY ... no clue on your little glasses. When you have time, please post photos of your pitcher. Maybe someone can give us more info on the process.

Time for more coffee.... having a hard time waking up. My eyes keep wanting to close.

Good Morning everyone. It felt like winter this morning, chilly breeze that just cut righht through you. But sun is now shining and hopefully if that wind stays away, we will have a nice day.
Suzy @suzy That poem is perfect!
Carl @carma what a wonderful present for Jisoo πŸ™‚ and what great goals she has. I wish her all the best

    @jrmrock Jesse, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Light snow here in NJ -- and it's "warmer", all the way up to 25. I was happy when I went out this morning to synagogue for services as it was 20F; last night when I got home it was 14F.

Good morning, glassies. Chilly little fall day but lots of sunshine.

@jmart8248 IRENE M ... I think I'd just call it White Opalescent ... maybe use "pearl" as an adjective.

@carma CARL ... Was so glad to read about the history of Slag Glass. I've seen lots of it and never knew whether it was old or new and didn't realize the time-line or scarcity of the different colors. I'm going to find it much more fun to study pieces when I'm next out treasure hunting.

@donscns DON ... Oh, forgot about the coffee. Will send an email soon.

@jrmrock JESSE ... look forward to see more of your EAPG.

Heading out later to the beauty shop. Hope to buy some beauty. πŸ™‚ Getting new hair style.

@jrmrock I have some good goblets up also if you search. The key is in the buffalo and deer tails.
I understand that the price for wines should be in the 300 range.

@jrmrock This wine is old per Len Farchoine probably the most knowledgable for this pattern. It is my listing being used for information only. By the way Len and the buying publice say it is priced too high.

Good afternoon, glassies. Good gravy, I've been so busy. Tired out now and think I'll go fix a little pot of decaf and just put my feet up.

@carma CARL ... so interesting to learn about the Granite as I just saw this set for sale yesterday! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Northwood-Rare-Paneled-Sprig-Pitcher-w-Six-Tumblers/251363429275?_trksid=p2045573.m2102&_trkparms=aid%3D555012%26algo%3DPW.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D18058%26meid%3D2179919222164785109%26pid%3D100034%26prg%3D8304%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D261073846839%26 and found I was really puzzled by the treatment.

@fyrqueen KATIE ... So sorry for the sadness you all are going through. I will definitely have you and your relatives in my prayers.

@jrmrock JESSE ... Metz's first book on page 141 says ... In one type of the pattern the quill runs to top of piece and ends in a scallop.....in wines... the type that ends with a straight line across the top is worth 20% less. I can't find anything on your goblet. If the Greek Key is flint glass then I would assume it's before 1870. This is a good article on flint glass ... http://www.patternglass.com/KindFlint/flint.htm

I’m very pleased with the wine and the goblet. πŸ™‚ And I meant to tell you, did you know there is another Etsy shop name JessesVintage... no apostrophe. I went to it by mistake.

@jrmrock JESSE ... I have a butter, open compote, sugar, and celery in MASCOTTE. The celery is definitely 8". My Reilly/Jenks says Mascotte was made with 2 types of goblets but doesn't show a photo. The creamer is listed as 6 1/2" high and although the spooner is not given a measurement it is generally about the same size as the creamer in the book... the creamer is just a little higher because of the spout. Looking at the spooner in the book it appears to have 3 rows of "blocks." Looking at a goblet on eapgpatterns.com it has 4 rows of blocks. If the book and the website are accurate, then it would seem you have a spooner.

@jrmrock Jessie get a normal size teaspoon and drop it in, if the handle sticks out to you can grab it then spoon holder if not then celery. I can not tell how deep you bowl is from the picture.

Good Morning everyone. A gorgeous sunny morning here so far. No extreme heat and no hot dirty dusty strong winds. I am loving it. πŸ™‚
Shelly @shellyrae37 yes I got some of the smoke but it wasn't too bad. BTW Actually I did have a quiet weekend. But by Sunday arvo I was starting to feel very bored LOL I was getting ready to head out somewhere when the strong gusty winds came up and the bushfires were reported. Good time to stay indoors.

Good gravy! I looked up Jesse's L.E. Smith item and then crawled back in bed. Slept until my sister called at 7:30pm. Decided I needed to eat something so I'm up for a bit. But think I'll hit the bed very soon. Just a delightful day of sleep sleep sleep. Think I'll finally be caught up by morning. πŸ™‚

@jrmrock JESSE and @donscns DON ... About the OWL AND FAN aka PARROT aka PARROT AND FAN ... I found exactly what Don said. It is ca. 1880s, maker unknown, possibly Richards and Hartley.

Well, I just had toast with the wonderful homemade blackberry jam that I bought at the Oktoberfest bake sale yesterday. I'm going to go get another glass of milk and some pound cake that I bought there yesterday. I put the Mediterranean diet on hold for the weekend. πŸ™‚

@jrmrock JESSE … What I found in Tom Felt’s first LE Smith book: Flame was what they called their Amberina color (pg. 73) and was produced ca. 1959-1982. The pattern called GRAPE was made starting 1956 but it wasn’t produced in colors until the 1960s. I do not see your item, but it pictures a milk glass goblet (pg. 182) which, of course, has a solid plain rim, not crimped like yours. But yours looks like it would have been made from that goblet.

In Felt’s second LE Smith book, he shows a Grape compote (pg 125) . It is line #9951. It was made in in flame ca. 1961 and 1968). Earlier versions had a wider crimp, while later ones have a pie crust crimp. It also says the #9951 was made from the #9952 Grape goblet. BV=$18-23.

@jrmrock JESSE and @nona NANCYJEAN ... I agree with Nancy Jean that it is Cooperative Flint but I don't think it is Fancy Cut aka Rex. I think it is possibly Co-ops #295, but I can't find a good photo of it anywhere. It's a poor catalog pic on page 323 and 324 of Autenreiths' Co-Operative Flint Glass Co.

@jrmrock JESSE ... Heavens, I didn't even notice that flute had 3 colors. The foot just kind of blended in with the colorful book. I've never seen one with 3 colors. I searched Replacements and this UNK is the closest I could find with a blue foot that had 2 more colors...although the colors are different than yours. The stem portion itself looks like yours. http://www.replacements.com/webquote/UNKUNK12175.htm#9905001 You should send a photo to Replacements. They will try to ID it if they can.
