Shelly @shellyrae37 the roof damaged to the supermarket happened during trading hours. It mustn't have been too much of a drama as I haven't hreard anything on the news about it.
I will be very interested in hearing if you get a reply from Marypat. I have emailed her and also have tried phoning her. I do worry about her and Lars/Bill
Wendy @wjweese Unfortunately yesterday when the storm hit I had to go out in it. I got totally soaked

Well just as predicted we got a good storm and it is still happening over an hour after it started. Lots of torrential rain,strong gusty winds and some minor flash flooding and plenty of thunder and lightening. I had an appointment to go to right when the worst of it hit here. I got soaked to the skin just by running a few metres to the car And I had an umbrella which proved totally useless because of the force and angle of the rain and wind. The local Supermarket just 1 klms up the road closed its doors because their roof collapsed. Not sure how much damage or how severe it is.

@reen REEN ... I guess I'm like that lady, I'd rather have coffee too strong than too weak. If it's too strong you can always water it down, but there's nothing you can do with coffee too weak...it's just a lost cause. 🙂

@collectibles4utwo CHRIS ... very pretty pitcher, but I know nothing about Waterford. Have you gone to Replacements and done a search for "Waterford +pitcher"?

@collectibles4utwo CHRIS … measurements would be helpful for your crystal item. I did not know if I was looking at a toothpick holder, an open sugar, a vase … I will say though that the clarity of the glass made me think of contemporary lead crystal giftware.

I just went back and saw where the URL had the "vase" in it. Still, my thoughts are the European lead crystal that one sees in gift stores today.

@collectibles4utwo CHRIS ... the pink sugar bowl is HOLIDAY aka BUTTON AND BOWS by Jeannette Glass Comapny, 1947 to 1950s.

@suzy SUZY ... double check the doty link. It shows the original in marigold but if you click on a link in the description it will tell you about the reissue and the colors they made. Looks like finding the logo is the big difference in age.

The tire people fixed it and said it would run forever without a sensor; however, the dashboard light would stay on and the ding-ding-ding alert would sound each time I got into the car and started the motor. Decided I didn't want to have to deal with that indefinitely, so I bit the dust and ordered the part. 🙂

@carma CARL ... We were at 84° 2 days ago! Today we are suppose to reach the 40s but the wind is so strong the windchill is at the freezing level. Tuesday we will be back into the 60s. Love that Oklahoma weather! You never get bored. 😀

@collectibles4utwo Chris, your decanter is the Moon & Star pattern. Maker is harder to say. L.G. Wright had the decanter made for them to sell; after they closed, Fenton got the mold and has sold the decanter set in carnival glass. However, another version of the decanter is said to have been made in Italy, possibly sold by L.E. Smith (the other contemporary maker of moon & star). From the photos in the Moon & Star book, I think your decanter looks more like the Italian version. However, if you're selling it on eBay, just show the photos and let the buyers decide (show the stopper by itself, that seems to be one of the areas that's different between the two versions).

@reen The really good part of this is this son-in-law has never shown such enthusiasm for father child activities. His DD, the mother of the child , even wondered if he would really care about a grandchild.This is what I meant when I said being a great-grandparent was even better than being a grandparent. It is such fun to watch the grandparents and the aunts and uncles and the great aunts and great uncles.

Happy to report that a package shipped to Bankok Thailand on Oct. 23 by International First Class has arrived and buyer posted feedback.
Also happy to report that an item that got a low offer was purchased by another buyer at full price.

@collectibles4utwo Chris, Store owners get free listings only when eBay chooses to declare a Free Listing time for store owners. This has been happening about once per month.
My store is closed at this time. I am planning to reopen it on September 1.

@songbreeze Gail - Didn't even know I had made it until I was looking to re-invoice a person, and found they took that option away that I could see, so I just sent them an email. I know I will loose the status as fast as I got it, but heck for a few minutes it was good(LOL). Of course this is Frans field, but I am guessing no on the Candlewick tray, never ever remember seeing pastel candlewick colors.

@shellyrae37 Shelly - your welcome the mugs I usually sell between 20 - 25 depending on my mood(LOL)......

@wattleihavenext Julie - Of course Miss P got her looks from her grandma :-). Someday I will get one, but until then I have lots of Grand nephews and Grand nieces to keep me busy.

@gailmacphee Gail - I would do away with parcel post, I use to run out everyday to mail, but now I only do MWF, Only use first class mail or priority mail, Never send parcel post, and once forced to change my return policy it will be no returns. 14 days is much to long of a window to change their minds. Though it really doesn't make to much of a difference in things, unless they are paying you cash. And printing online saves lots of money.

The amber plate NORMANDIE aka BOUQUET & LATTICE by Federal Glass Co, 1933-1940.
The black plate MIGHT be made by Westmoreland...needs others to look at and help with it.
