Good day Glass Board.
Life has been such that I don't even fire this confuser up but once in a blue moon.
Was looking thru email to cleaning it out and saw the notification that NancyP had mentioned me so I looked in.Thank you all so much for the B Day wishes. It warms my heart to think I'm still thought of. Please know that all on the board are in my nightly prayers, wishing you good health and happiness as-well as good hunting.
Once again, Thank you all !!!

@decoqueen Janice, Thank you. The Tiffin Stem is stunning. Thank you for sharing.
@neacenacks Mable, when I had that trouble, I had to reset my computer to a set point before I had installed the new toolbar.
I'm not that good with these confusers but I'm sure others will have better ways of dealing with your trouble.@donscns Don, Thanks for setting me straight. I will certainly give Gail the thanks and credit she deserves. Still, it was very nice of you to cover the coffee during her trip.

Good morning Glassies all.
Today makes two beautiful days in a row. Chance of sprinkles early AM tomorrow then three or more days of great weather. The weather man said that is the longest stretch of good weather since June. I’ll take it and am loving it as winter seams to be coming much to soon.
@decoqueen Janice, Thank you so much. I have only seen the Arena pieces in Blue and Green and never in that size except for yours and the Brown/Amber Five I have. I have never seen the Rack. There is a great variance in the sizes of those pieces. The jigger is said to be 2 5/8” tall. LOL I am in contact with the Old Morgantown Glass Collectors Guild and have sent them a pic with dimensions so they can add this size to the next Book. May I send them your pic as another example of them in this size. If you ever see one in the Brown/Amber or the rack please let me know as I would love to complete my set.
@fran Hope you feel better soon. You take it easy and I’ll hope for the best.
@carma Carl Congrats to Marley. You must be beaming with pride. Will be rooting for her and the Saints. !!!GO SAINTS!!!
@donscns Don, just love the coffee today. Don’t know how you all find those things in such variety. Thanks.
@newtonenterprises Jim, Last time at the country house I went to some Flee markets and picked up my first two pieces of Crown Tuscan. The little Cornucopia and a Small Vase. Think I did OK. Have no pics yet but will show them to you when I can. Think I will get no more till I can afford a lovely Lady piece or two.
Tony…On my way out.

Hi all.
Just scrolling the board as I had a little time.
Hope all those up north who have no power get it back soon. My prayers are with you. Hang in there.
@decoqueen Janice, Looking at your beautiful pieces on the link. On the line with the six pack of red tumblers with the white line decoration. I think they may be Morgantown. Would you be so kind to post a pic from the side of one with dimensions? I would like to compare it with a set I have in Amber Glass. BTW, I just love those Deco Ladies. Wonderful Collection. Made a mess of my keyboard. LOL

Good evening Glassies all. Just got back from a great WE in the mountains of western Maryland and West VA. Color is at most 1 or 2 weeks from peak. Deer are everywhere to be seen and a flock of turkey passed across the field the other side of the street from my house. Soon they will be hard to find as hunting season will be upon us.
@faeowyn Shari, Your refrigerator box looks to be Hocking. Florence's book, Kitchen Glassware of the Depression Years shows it but gives no pattern name. Just calls it, Panelled refrigerator dish 8" x 8", 4" x 8", 4" x 4". It had a cover.

Hi Julie.
Gail, I couldn’t agree more. Try to learn. Look and study and look some more, only to find out what you thought you had has been reproduced. Glass is hard enough without all that. Do you happen to have the book; A handbook to Morgantown Glass, By Jerry Gallager?

I made a note of it to put in the dish when I go back next month.
The shame of it is that I looked at that piece very carefully three times before bidding and when I got it there was a small chip on one of the feet. You can just see it on the left side of the center foot. Just follow the sheen down to it. A small flake about 1/8” or so. 🙁 Still a lovely piece I will enjoy and would have one day sold.Tony

@reen Thank you so much for looking and the info.
The lamp is not in my hands at this point. so I cant do better than this photo. I should be able to get it this WE as I will be going to the country again. I'll try to get with her and get that.According to the lady who owns it, it was in her mothers house "as is" since before she was born. She is not young. At least in her mid seventies. She told me that she had no reason to doubt it being original. Still anything is possible.
I'll Google as you suggest and see what more I can discover. Thank you again for your help..Tony

Hi all.
Scrolled the board but as usual I'm no help.
I do have a question. I have been looking for an ID on an Oil Lamp with no luck. I thought I would post it here in hopes of something to go on.
The burner is ROYAL. More I don't know.
First a shot of the lamp. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c336/JAGofC/IMG_0343.jpg
Next the shade. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c336/JAGofC/IMG_0341.jpg
The burner. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c336/JAGofC/IMG_0340.jpg
And another. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c336/JAGofC/IMG_0339.jpg
The knob. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c336/JAGofC/IMG_0338.jpgTIA for any comments.

@wattleihavenext Julie, wow!!! That bowl is absolutely DDG. I know nothing so please let us know if you ever get an ID.
@suzy , Sorry if I offended. Your (I think) Louis XV is beautiful as is the Custard Glass as a whole. I was trying to say how much that Blue pops from it’s surroundings. That color grabs me and makes something inside me light-up. Poor choice of words/comparison on my part.
Tony...Off to the corner.

@scott In VCPG book 4, the color is referred to as both Blue Custard and Blue Opaque. I guess the latter would make more sense. Either will work I guess, and in truth I am writing this to try to get it to stick in this sieve that is my brain.
Tony....Trying hard to learn.

Gail, If you have a second window open to write in, refresh the page you are reading before you hit post on the other. Then refresh the main page again. That should help.

@songbreeze Gail, I agree. There is nothing like seeing and touching a piece in person.
We have had about 20' of rain between Irene and now Katia. So much water.
I have worried about the loss of frogs over the last few decades. So many varieties are gone. As a keystone species, it does not bode well for this planet....SCARY.Tony
