Suzy @suzy I finally got around to listening to Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" played on a glass harp.It takes a little while for my computer to upload it. I have to first let it upload, very slow and jerky and then I have to replay to get to hear it properly with it stopping and starting.

@dave DAVE ... here in NE Oklahoma anything that can be glued to those stupid dollar store candlesticks IS glued. The "redneck" goblet here is a Ball or Mason or Kerr fruit jar glued to the sticks. Of course, any bowl will turn it into a compote...any plate into a cake salver......... drives me nutty.

The weather channels are on full stand-by...cutting in programs and commercials. Got our emergency bags packed should we need to duck and cover. Real Wizard of Oz weather on the way.

@wattleihavenext - Isn't that neat, high tea! I want to start talking with an British accent all of a sudden. And my little pinky is suddenly sticking out! It's great your DD likes the old and elegant and can share that interest with you. My kids still think of it as "mom's ebay thing". They think it's cool to buy something for a buck and resell it for $50, but have no interest in the actual things that sell. I did give DGD a vintage 50's toy piano for Christmas last year that I hope will become a family heirloom in her time. But, I also gave this DS a set of Fostoria stemware a few years ago and he and GF got rid of them and replaced them with horrid Walmart stuff!

Shelly - I have AVG and never have a problem with chatabout site pages. I'm sure there's a way to set your AVE so it will "allow" certain sites.

I've also been thinking about adding a link in my listings and me page. I think the ebay rule is that you can't have links to sites that sell, but maybe that's changed again?

I've wondered if it would be proper to add a link in PGP posts over there. What's the etiquette for that?

I think It's a good thing to promote this chat so we can attract other glass people so that we don't get "stale". But we won't be having newbies just popping in here like we had on the old chat - having to register to make a post will surely slow that down. Before, we just hopped around from board to board over there without having to be a member on each. Sadly, we won't be able to have such happy, randomness as we enjoyed there.
