@wyogems and @bethofvt --- Welcome to the Glass Board. Come back soon and come often. Have known @bethofvt for years from both the old and the new Book Boards . Great seller, very knowledgeable and always helpful.
@reen --- Love the boldness of that Pyrex. Hope you'll be feeling all better very soon.
@wattleihavenext ----- Congratulations on a great buy and a great sale.
@sunwoman3663 -- The peaches are delicious and even more so since they come from our own tree.
@donscns Who do you think you are kidding about no more display cabinets? You may just have to add a room to your house.
@fyrqueen --- Katie, Laughing about you getting the butter dish top and bottom back together again after all those years. You did say you did that didn't you?
My stock advice for allergy/sinus combination is what a nurse told me many years ago " Put the heating pad on your feet not your face."Closing down for the night with the usual off to my 'bed & book'.

Hi All,
Long time no post, just been busy with family and life in general along with selling things. Now it is time to get serious again, and reboot my enthusiasm about selling again instead of going through the motion. You all have been good for that with all your postings. Not even going to try to look back longer then from today's post. Seems like most of the gang is here other then Fran, Kelli & Carma anyone know how they are doing?
@wyogems - I lived in Cheyenne for almost 10 years, beautiful country out there. I really miss the low utility bills and Cheyenne Frontier days.
@Wattleihavenext - Congrats on your sale :-), hope you have a lot more like that.
@ donscns - You can not have to many curio cabinets.
@ sunwoman3663 - Good for you, it just makes me so made when people do this. What even makes me madder is when the Salvation Army is selling something good at a very cheap price and people try to talk them down. I always but and say I will buy it for the price marked. Of course the people then want to pay full price, knowing very well they will sell it for at least 3-4 x what they pay for it.
Hope everyone else is doing good.
Bear 🙂

@wyogems If memory is correct this "OWL" butter is newer from Europe. I do not recall anything about the base which may or may not be right.
-
@wyogems … I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is not the correct base for that butter lid. The butter base has the same figures as the lid. Also for true EAPG collectors, glass that has turned purple is considered damaged glass. http://www.patternglass.com/sunpurple.htm With the correct base and no damage the market/book value would be somewhere around $150-200.

@wyogems I say not a match or as most refer to as a marriage
Gail @songbreeze I thought of Candlewick too for Shelly's relish But I know nothing about Candlewick except it has balls LOL BUT not all glass with balls is Candlewick. Yep we do indeed need our Fran for this one

@wyogems ...Welcome to the Glass Chatroom. Please take a look at the two tabs in the upper right of the screen--How To Manual and Guidelines--to familiarize yourself with how this site works. We're so glad you joined us. Your lid, not certain if it's for a compote or a butter, is an Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) pattern called WYOMING. It was made by the U.S.Glass Company, #15081, as part of their States Series, 1903.

Good afternoon to you all. After yesterday being such a horrible cold windy day, today is just gorgeous. Sun is shining and wind has gone. I babysat Miss P from yesterday arvo through the night and onto 1p.m today. We had a great time But now time for Grandma to rest , relax & scroll the board while I enjoy a cuppa. Then outside again to take in this beautiful warmth
Welcome to the board @wyogems
