Good Afternoon Everyone, HAPPY VETERANS DAY To All that Served and to their families for being there for them.

Late getting around, DH was using PC until it was time for him to go to the park for the Veterans Services, I just did not feel like moving fast this morning so here I am.

KATIE I looked through I think 280 pages of pitcher bases last night looking for yours, and did not see one that matched. Sorry.

Well, I'm still here in Maryland and so glad for the extra day. All my reservations and car rentals are all for the 12th so there is no problem. Just whacky that I thought today was the 12th instead of tomorrow. Happiness is an extra day with the family and grandkids. 🙂

While screwing up days and dates did I get Sue @pareidolia birthday mixed up too! I see it listed today and I truly thought it was November 8th...I'm striking out everywhere! Yikes!

JULIE ... so today is a babysitting day for you. Hope it goes well and he's not cranky from the cold. We have been laughing here as Connor the 2 1/2 yr old started with the cold, then I got it, 2 days later Alexa the 6 yr old got it, and last night the mama got it. Only the daddy and big brother have escaped so far. We've gone through a ton of Kleenex and paper towels because of the runny noses.

I need to go scroll and I want to see WENDY's lovely crochet. I tried late last night but I just got a little arrow spinning in a circle forever and the picture wouldn't load. Hopefully it will work today.

Loved the Peacock Bowl no matter who put it up and it is a beauty.
Went to a Private sale last night myself and a few others were invited to.. Got there late but still picked up some nice things. They had a Carnival bowl there with berries, but thought it was common. I picked up a Set of Candle Sticks & Bowl Fenton Stretch Celeste Blue, an Amethyst Carnival Short vase in the Bark pattern, not sure now if it was marked who made it but I don't think so, Cambridge Small Amethyst S&P with Farberware covering on teh bottom, and a Gold Encrusted Pickard Nut dish with matching spoon.
Now to get pictures and list.. Just got notice from ebay Friday to list free 1000 auctions a day.. Good grief I have a hard time getting 2 or 3 done a day. Who has the time?

KATIE I am so glad your DH is coming right along.. I hear new stuff all the time, that amazes me about new medical techniques.

DH just left to go check on his Mom, She was telling BIL who lives in Md. that she was going to marry this one guy, and we all know he passed away, 8 years ago.. Now her phone has been ringing busy for the last 2 hours.. God Bless her, but I am not sure being home was of good judgement.

Good afternoon everyone. Wavig and saying G'day to you all. I just did a very quick scroll of the board to catch up with everyone.
@pareidolia I think it could still be a sugar. There are sugar containers that you do actually pour the sugar from, no spoon. It could also be maybe a honey pot, again you pour the honey, no spoon needed. Designed so no one puts a wet/dirty spoon in it.

Good afternoon to ALL GLASSIES. Just too beat from the heat to do anything. Had to make a post office run and it was just draining. Seems this triple-digit heat has been forever. Maybe, just maybe, we will get a couple of days of cooler weather next week. Right now we are still in a heat alert and ozone alert.

@shellyrae37 SHELLY ... Made my Joplin run and came home rather disappointed once I unpacked the stuff. I just MUST start being more careful about what I buy. I get home and see scratches, flaws, or chips that I just don't seem to spot in the store.

Have to do my monthly taxes. After that I can then have fun surfing the web and hunting for glass on-line. Way too hot to try to go out and hunt.

@fryqueen KATIE ... love perfume bottle. Would love to see your collection.

@maryr MARYMELODEE ... I don't know. ... we have an independent living facility here with the same features, but it's a beautiful building, beautiful apartments, and I'd be there in a heartbeat if I could afford it.

@pareidolia SUSAN ... so sorry I can't help but those "colonial" patterns just don't have enough features for me to be able to sink my teeth in and ID.

Good morning, glassies. Talk about heat waves! We've been in the 90s for the past couple of weeks and are expected to break 100 by the end of the week. Last summer we had 44 days of 100+ weather.

@itsagas BILL & @pareidolia SUSAN ... I thought it sure looked like Forest Green to me too and after searching my wee Jenkins book, I went to both Florence's Kitchen book and to his Anchor Hocking book....but with no luck. That bowl you found if not the same size surely looks like the same shape.

@pareidolia SUSAN ... Sorry I can't help with your flip-top bowl. I have a very small Jenkins book, but I couldn't find a bowl like that in it.

@pareidolia I did check my Ruth Webb Lee Victorian Glass book. But suppose that the flip tops are not that old.
I had ask about eBay free listings. Haven't been able to come up with any currently available announcements except possibly BINs. And it appears that with those one must accept 14 day returns. I have any inquiry in to Auctiva asking how / where to mark Auctiva listing with 14 day returns . I already do almost every thing as Free ship.

HI HELEN, Isn't it wonderful to have the girls come visit.I use to measure my DGS every time they came so they knew how much they grew, and they still love to look at it to see how tall they were when.. Its a tall one of 46" but they have both outgrown it.. Sadly no girls for me, at least little ones, Mine GD are all grown up with little ones of their own.. How time flies..

Good morning Glass Friends,
DGD arrived at 6:00 am from North Carolina . She and a friend drove all night. They just left to go to her mom's house. DGD is an adjunct teacher at Duke Univ. She supplements her income with eBay sales where she sells mostly well known brand clothing.

We spent the past 4 hours looking at those 1940 census records. Seems an odd thing for a 36 year old to be so interested in. She is bound to find all of her relatives. My family and and a favorite great aunt just seem to have been missed. We checked the records for the small town-villages where we know they lived. Found the close neighbors and my uncle's family. We'll probably keep looking when she comes back here from her mom's house.
@pareidolia Later today I'll check my Ruth Webb Lee EAPG book for the shapes of some of your covered dishes. Had never paid a lot of attention to those. Though I do believe that I have one in my unlisted inventory.

@pareidolia SUSAN ... I googled "definition of pareidolia" and got a bang out of your ID. 😀 Yes, you have Toltec in the correct place. I'd really be interested to see if you can get a picture showing more of the design on your #5. Still hoping we can help with your pink one.

@pareidolia SUSAN ... I was just looking at your website under unidentified glass. You have McKee's TOLTEC listed under item #8... It should be listed under item #9. We might be able to help ID #5 if we could see the overall design better.

Good Morning everyone, drizzling rain here still AND my bathroom roof is leaking AGAIN. Thought I had seen the end of that a couple of years ago when I had it fixed. ~sigh~
