Good afternoon, After a few gorgeous warm sunny Spring type days we are back to wintery cold and wet.
We are still in lock down, it was suppose to finish end of this week. BUT stupidity strikes again, extending it once again, all because a person who was positive was travelling from Sydney to our region each day working For starters, Sydney has been in total lockdown, so this bloke should not have left his Local Govt Area at all and 2ndly he had tested positive so he should have been in isolation and remained at home 24/7 for 2 weeks. So.. after our region was starting to do so well from the last positive Sydneysiders,coming here, going against the rules and infecting ppl, this bloke has destroyed all that again by infecting more ppl in my region. I received my second Covid vaccine yesterday too. All good, no side effects at all,My injection site isn't even sore.

It's my granddaughter's 8th birthday today. I'll be taking her shopping for her b/day present. She loves that idea, where she can browse the shops and choose. We did it last year too. And it's a good time to get some bargains Last year she had been eyeing off a toy that had a $300 price tag on it. She had it on her Santa list. But Santa didn't bring it. We were shopping for her b/day present and there it was and she really did have her heart set on it. Price tags mean nothing to little ones.The look in her eyes when she saw it..aaawww how could Grandma resist (remembering those presents I had so longed for but never got) It was all she really wanted. BINGO!!! on sale for $100 😀

Good Morning I hope everyone had as good a Xmas as I did. I still miss DH and my sister but my Grandkids fill that void in my heart and make Xmas so very special now.

It's hot here 30 Celsius at 11a.m and getting hotter . It's suppose to reach 37C by 3p.m . Boot camp this afternoon will be challenging, to say the least after all the Xmas feastivity.( Bollinger Champagne, Trifle and Pavlova LOL ) Plenty of water is on the menu for me today.

@george George, glad everyone arrived safely! I can't believe it's snowing again in Seattle.

@carma Carl, it's always fun to stretch holidays (and birthdays) out, so I'm sure your time with family in Auburn will be great when you're able to get down there.

Merry Christmas!!

Good evening everyone. I've been very busy since the weekend Markets babysitting all day.
My eldest brother is in a bad way too, kidney and heart issues and not expected to pull through. My cousins wife passed away ( too young) on Thursday from cancer Her funeral will be tomorrow

Good Morning everyone. Morning temps are dropping here. Sun is shining and the warmth of the sun feels good. Not too hot not too cold.But it will get hotter as the day goes on. Autumn, I love it.
Shelly @shellyrae37 my ute with camper slide on is just way too high to fit through a car wash. I use a soft bristle broom with a long extension handle to wash the front of the camper
My sister went to visit Mum yesterday and she said she seemed a lot brighter.

Gail @songbreeze ditto to what the others have said about seeing what is available for you , so you don't have to miss your treatments. I know down here, they had all sorts of help available for those that had to travel distances and for those that couldn't drive.

Boxing Day down here and I had planned to do as little as possible, which also included a sleep in. BUT my sister phoned early. She wanted to go out for breakfast and then do some shopping. We drove all around to some of our favourite restaurants , only to find they were not opened (which I had expected) So we ended up at McDonalds McCafe LOL Drove around afterwards to the shopping centres to find that they were not opened either LOL. Told sister it was the best fun I had ever had shopping with her LOL

Wishing all of you who celebrate a very Merry Christmas!! We drove down to DD's today -- great day to travel, very little traffic (even through Delaware and on the DC Beltway). DD is at work -- she always works on Christmas so others can be home with their families. We won't see her until tomorrow morning as she works a 24-hour shift (but that means she can take off Thursday and Friday and do stuff with us).

Good gravy, what a day! Got 2 boxes packed and off to the Post Office, then off to the bank. Had to go to Walmart and buy groceries and get printer ink as I was running out of tri-color. Home again and got payment for another item I sold, so packaged it and back to the Post Office. Came home and notified the buyers and then started entering the inventory of the new things I bought . Sister came by and we chatted for a couple of hours about the funeral and the different relatives etc. She just left. I haven't even eaten lunch of supper yet. Only had a glass of milk and two Zinger mid-morning. Going to go raid the kitchen for something to eat.

@wattleihavenext JULIE ... good to know all is well so far. 🙂 Don't know if I will be able to stay awake long enough to see the New Year in.

I need to take a picture of some tumblers I got...Carnival Glass with a grape motif which I thought would be a cinch to ID....Not. Has a rick-rack /zig-zag band at the top with beads in it and a diamond band with a bead in each at the bottom. and then six groups of grapes with no leaves going around the center. Must go eat first though and put my feet up for a while....

Good Morning everyone Just arrived home from my sisters.( Took my van and slept in it) We had a lovely Christmas day there, though a few of the family members were absent. First one without Mum there too. We phoned her all spoke to her and wished her a Merry Xmas.Weather was overcast with some light rain. But I much prefer that then HOT. Now to relax a little in front of the computer with a cuppa and then I have to make some salads , get ready and head off to DD's for Boxing Day celebrations

@maryb - IMHO That pitcher looks to be the AH Manhattan/Horizontal Ribbed 80 oz. Tilted Pitcher with Ice Lip.

@maryb and Helen that is Anchor Hocking Manhattan tilted ball pitcher as shown int TAGF's 19th ed.

@maryb Thanks she is a little sweeety. Quit a change from the Dalmatians we have had for the last 35 years. The return to a wiener dog was fun. Now if only she would like to walk like a Dalmatian does even for the shorter distances. I need to do something to keep the cardiologist happy!

I don't know your hobnail item. I hope someone does as it would help to ID my red hobnail item that looks so much alike with that straight stem and the plain band around the top.
