@jagofc Hi, yes the red set is Morgantown Arena and I found them in the wire rack, which amazed me!
The tumbler is 5 1/4" tall and the jigger is 2 1/4" tall. http://i41.tinypic.com/wjvuw2.jpg
Thanks for the kind words everyone, it's taken a long time to get so many items.

Shelly @shellyrae37 I don't know how many will be going. I was told by some of the sellers who went one last year that it wasn't a big one but the ppl came and they did spend and everyone was happy with their takings. I have been & stayed at that town a few times. We used to go for rides to there and stay at one of the pubs.
Tony @jagofc thanks. It seems lately I have been getting bad news after bad news and cancer is all around me. I think that happens to most of us, we seem to get a run of bad news and then everything settles back to normal.

Tony,
I am glad you had such a nice WE, it sounds wonderful, we have Rain today, but it will warm up later in the week, if DH is up for it we are planning a coast ride, he has not been on the Harley yet, it's been just 3 weeks, we will see.

@jagofc : Beaded Shell is a real good pattern to stay away from if you're not 100% sure. Twenty five to 30 years ago, it was a GREAT seller & in high demand by collectors. The massive reproductions have almost totally destroyed it's saleability now. Yes, it has been extensively repro'd in Carnival in Amethyst, Marigold, White, Ice Blue Opal, Ice Green Opal, Pink, Canary Yellow, Emerald Green, Ice Blue, Ice Green......you name it! It has also been repro'd in Opalescent colors, and in a variety of non-iridized and non-opalized colors. Also in Custard Glass, some of which has a phony Northwood (N) mark, made by Wright.

Good morning, glassies. Thought I'd check in before I head out for the day. Had a sale last night, not big, but put me in a bit of a better humor because right now is day 3 of someone who has NOT paid for a purchase. 🙁
@carma CARL .... did not know that about the opalescent feet on the Mosser. Really glad to learn that tip.
@jagofc TONY ... so glad you are getting in touch with the Morgantown group. I'm just so sorry, but that Morgantown book is just the devil for me to try to use. I guess since a lot of the designs in their Decor line, are so sleek, plain, and modern, with no particular pattern then trying to match a piece with just black and white photos makes it nearly impossible for me.
Well, need to finish packing my sale and head out to post office, then WalMart, then home to make posters and decorations.....

Good morning, glassies.
@scott SCOTT ... I agree things balance. I've bought a hundred things that I've paid way too much for...and a hundred things I got for a steal. Each is a learning process and things do balance as I learn from it.
@decoqueen JANICE & @jagofc TONY ... sure was glad to be able to bookmark to favorites the Houze sites. It already helped me ID one item I had.
Have to go get ready for Tai Chi class. See you all later.

@jagofc TONY … no, you are not pushing. I love looking stuff up in the books. Just that Gallager’s book is a little harder to read than most. I just went through it for the rolled etch console bowl and there was nothing like it in the book. There was only one bowl with a slight rolled edge to it in the entire book…and it was only slighly rolled. Nothing fully rolled like yours. Will check for the tumbler in the morning.

@jagofc TONY ... Let's hope someone familiar with Morgantown can come and ID it straight away. Have you ever seen a copy of this book? It's a real toughy to try to ID from it...at least it is for me. Everything in the book is in black and white and the photos are layed out in kind of random sizes, shapes, and placements. I will try looking tomorrow when I'm a bit fresher. 🙂

Good morning, glassies. Gee, another late start for me this morning. Slept in way too late.
@jagofc TONY ... Oh, thanks so much for posting @newplace Marymelodee's auction! Terrific finish, Marymel, and happy dancing for you!
@10bbg10 HELEN ... so sorry, but I'm going to need a picture. I was laughing trying to think like an architect to build the item from your description, but it was just not working for me. Would love to see a pic. 😀
With this "mention" feature... We all have TWO ID's here.... our log-in ID ... and our display name. For some of us that is the same. For others they are different. The mention or @ name only works with our log-in name. So for you I have to use 10bbg10 rather than Helen; for me, it is songbreeze, rather than oklahomasong_Gail. However for those whose log-in and display are the same, it's easier... maryb is Maryb, fran2 is Fran2, reen is Reen...

Wow I am so glad I checked in here tonight as the conversation turned out to be pertinent to me. It's funny but all I was going to do was give Tony a hard time and say @jagofc Tony how could you possibly say that this was boring?
http://i56.tinypic.com/dqln6e.jpg
http://i53.tinypic.com/f5dmwi.jpg
http://i52.tinypic.com/x57986.jpgBeautiful blue set by the way Scott!! What is really interesting is I found this last week in a cute little eclectic shop of new stuff sprinkled with some old stuff and was buying something out of the front case and the owner said "oh that case over there is also 20% off" and I turned around and saw this beauty sitting there! I was excited as I love glowee glass and KNEW this was a Northwood custard piece that I had to take home with me. My quandry at the moment is to keep or sell. BUT...here is the pertinent part. When I went to try and find the pattern and was researching on ebay, I saw a set...this pitcher and 5 glasses and the seller had it listed as Lous XV, and then I searched that and found a bunch of other pieces listed the same, from different sellers. SO....I assumed that that WAS the pattern...until NOW. I thought it seemed odd that, since I did think the flower WAS a chrysanthemum that it would be called Louis XV. Then when Gail & Scott said it was Chrysanthemum Sprig that sure sounded like what it should be called! Now....my question is, was it maybe ALSO known as Louis XV, or all those sellers on ebay incorrect? Sorry for such a long post but I was excited when I saw this conversation tonight!

@jagofc TONY ... Regarding seeing the Crown Tuscan...I love it when I can finally see in person something I've only seen pictured in books. It sure makes a difference particularly in being able to either recognize the piece again or in remembering it. I love the frog link. @goodwinantiques LEAH ... For 7 years Fran/dbfrogs posted the morning coffee on the eBay Chatroom. It helps us determine on a long scroll when night ends and a new day of postings begin. Fran always has cute frogs with her coffee pot. I must find a mascot to go with the coffee here. 🙂 But man, it's taking a lot of time just trying to round up different pics for the coffee alone. Might do a cat and dog search at some point.
Also, Leah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses that wonderful "delete" feature that Curt has available here. I use it ALL the time. Particularly if I find I've posted something and then immediately have a second post. I like to copy the info, delete the two posts and combine it into one post. Also, I like to correct spelling or grammar (when or if I know my error which isn't always...:) )

@jagofc , Tony ... and all other GLASSIES …
I really like this feature where you can use the @ sign to "mention" someone and so that it will notify them by email if that option is selected or else they can see it on their mention tab, but you must be careful that you do not use a period or a comma directly at the end. If you do so, it will not work as a link…you will be able to tell this in your message as it will NOT turn blue. I’ve made this mistake a couple of times so it’s ”old experience” talking here. As I said in another post of mine, I’ve had to delete my post and correct it so that the link will work.
