• Home from going to Saturday evening Mass. Have to remember to turn my clocks up. Will be able to sleep late tomorrow though since I made it to Church tonight. πŸ™‚

@enchantmentglass KELLI ... Your picture is, indeed, 1,000 times better. They look Italian to me ...

@fyrqueen KATIE ... wow, with all those sales. I'd never have that much luck selling stuff. Goodonya.

@itsagas BILL ... gee, you made me hungry. I stopped on the way home and bought some deli stuff and had a cold supper...boring.

@fran dbfrogs FRAN ... so good to see you. errata = a list of corrected errors that were in a book or writing. Oh, as I scroll further I see everyone has already answered. πŸ™‚

@10bbg10 HELEN ... I want to get some more auctions up too, but I have to take my friend shopping tomorrow. Will see if I still have some energy left over.

@jessie JESSIE ... Good to see you. Hope all has been well for you.

  • @jessie - WOW! Definitely the same coloring and spangled treatment! Thank you, and I can search further using that name you found. I owe ya!

  • @jessie - nice to see you! Thanks, vasa murrhina's definitely what I'd call the coloration on my vase. πŸ™‚ Not sure though, I think that's a term that Fenton coined for their pieces - I don't know if it's used by other makers. Anyone? Perhaps other makers just called it "spangled" glass.

  • Been over to vist the little Grand daughter. Used the exuse of taking the tables for the Naming Ceremony next weekend LOL.
@shellyrae37 yep it was a nice flash back. Ebay in the beginnings was always exciting for me.Australia was showing all the world what we had down here and everyone was more than eager to grab these wonderful RARE items they had never seen before. And what was so wonderful back then was that there were only a handful of Aussies selling on ebay.So yeah, the market wasn't saturated like it is today. Ppl can now afford to skip that item if it goes above the starting price and move onto the next one down the list.
That could be the cookie jar, but it was a long time ago so I am 100% certain. But I don't remember her holding the teddy.I'm not saying mine didn't hold a teddy I am just saying I am not remembering LOL
@jessie No I don't have a pic anymore of the SSC cookie jar. That was long ago on my very first computer running windows 98 LOL

  • @jessie … so glad we get email notification when someone uses our log-in ID, because by some hook or crook, I blew right past your posting this morning!! So far the oxy-clean looks like it’s working. Wondering if the bleach would leave a lingering odor of clorox? Worth a try on one to see.

  • Some of the html examples were displaying curly quotes instead of straight quotes so if you used copy/paste and wondered why some of the examples weren't working as advertised, that was the reason. The examples have been fixed.
Thanks to Jessie for bringing this to my attention. (@jessie)

  • @jessie ... ah what kind words...keep talking! πŸ™‚ I really like this feature where you can put the @ sign with the persons log-in and be able to see the post here under "mentions" or be notified by email if you have that option turned on. Also love how you can delete your own post if you screw it up. πŸ˜€ Several other fun features that I haven't tried out yet... but will soon.
