Hi Old Friends,
I need some glass ID help. My local historical and genealogical organization has a "Treasure House (a store that sells donated items to support the family research center). They need help identifying a vase that might be Fenton. It is a tall, slender vase with a square bottom and a "tulip" style top. It is dark green with clear class on the square edges up the height of the vase. Sorry, I don't have a pic. I have gone thru my Fenton books, but suspect it is newer than 1980s (which is the most recent decade of Fenton books I have). The top flair is exactly like some of Fenton's tulip vases, but I find no square bottoms. It could be another manufacturer, but my glass books are all too old. Any suggestions would be helpful. I will see one of the volunteers at the Treasure House tomorrow. I will see if she can get a pic and email it to me.
Thanx,
Susu46 -

Carl(carma48) Just heard about Sue(mainewildrose) and stopped to offer my condolences on your loss. It is always hard when family passes.

Thanks, Gail! I am in GA visiting my son and his family. I think he has a session planned tomorrow where I get to fly a C130 simulator. Nothing quite like having a USAF Lt. Col. for a son. LOL

Thanks for the Birthday wishes. Have had a great weekend so far. My youngest son's family recently moved back to IL for one semester of school and I got to watch my youngest grandson play a football game this afternoon. That was a real treat. -

Gail, I don't have access to my books and I don't know that I have ever seen the DDG cup and saucer you are looking for an ID on, but when I looked at the pic I could not help but think "Westmoreland". There are several elements in the design that remind me of their work. Good luck finding the ID. -

@songbreeze, It never ceases to amaze me how sound you sleep. I live 3.5 - 4 hours South of Chicago by car and this quake woke me in Feb 2010. http://archive.chicagobreakingnews.com/2010/02/quake-like-tremors-reported-in-western-suburbs.html

@songbreeze, Just read about the OK earthquake and dropped in to see if you and all your glass survived unscathed.
@fyrqueen, I do not have immediate access to my glass books, but I am sure your yellow plate was made by MacBeth-Evans in the 1940s - 1950s.

@glassusa Bob, All my glass books are packed away somewhere in the attic, but if anyone has the GAG books (Great American Glass, book I and book II) your Georgian pattern is in one of them. I am sure that shape is one of the better glass companies; perhaps Fenton.
@dbfrogs Fran, Have an attorney contact the seller. It looks like someone may be selling pirate copies of your book as they are advertising reduced shipping for multiple copies.
Some of you folks have too many variations on your userid. I had some trouble getting the names to show up in bold blue. *grin*

@songbreeze
The renovation is going very, very slow. I have been unemployed since 3/13/2009 except for 7.5 weeks in AL. It is hard to get the work done without a healthy bank account. Plus my DS was doing the heavy lifting and he found a new girlfriend. I rarely see him and he is too busy to work on the house. Otherwise, life is great. No pics as there is nothing to show right now.

Hi Julie! You will get the hang of it soon. -

Good morning ALL,
I know I have been MIA for a while, but it appears that retirement may be forced on me and I might have more time to hang out here. It is great to see so many old friends already signed up. I will have to do some digging to find a pic to post as my avatar. -
