• Good afternoon everyone. I am back home after a very exciting adventure. I had the best time. India is just amazing and being up in those Himalayas was absolutely jaw dropping. I loved that region of India. Dehli was very hot and humid and I am glad we didn't spend a lot of time there. By all the photos I have seen, I always thought the Taj Mahal was gorgeous but to actually see it in person..OMG OMG WOW WOW WOW you have no idea just how spectacular it is, all made from marble and all those carvings done by hand all those years ago.....stunning stunning stunning.
Train travel was interesting 😆 Jaipur was an eye opener but there was also a lot of beauty there. And of course I love Nepal and I was so happy to be back there among friends and family. Now to settle back into my life here and start thinking about my next get away

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM @dorbitz

  • @dorbitz JimL -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you have a great day!

@fyrqueen Katie, what fun having more jade plants. Yes, I'm forever having to go pick up my Mike's meds -- but no croissants, he's diabetic so I try to minimize the carbs.

  • Good afternoon. After all the rain we had , not all that long ago, and everyone praying for it to stop, I can't believe we are now wanting rain. I wished Mother Nature would get her act together .
Jim @dorbitz that is so sad 🙁 It seems the weather everywhere is crazy. Mother Nature is very angry at us.

  • Merry Christmas to all of you celebrating!

@carma I love Santa Claws! Glad you're safe and warm and will be seeing your girls later in the week.

@dorbitz JimL, glad you're safe and warm. This weather has been crazy!!

We're down at our daughter's house in Virginia. As she usually does, Kate, the critical care paramedic, is riding rescue today so someone else can be home for the holiday with family. We're happy she's only doing the day shift, not the full 24-hours. She'll join us later at her good friend's house for Christmas dinner. It is starting to warm up here -- supposed to be a high of 31 today.

  • @dorbitz JimL -- thank you!! We had a nice Chanukah dinner with our son. Later in the week we'll drive down to Virginia and spend a few days with our daughter for the end of Chanukah.

@carma Wow, quite a storm. Glad you're okay.

Apparently there may or may not be another snow storm at the end of the week. Every time I look at the forecast it has changed. In NJ, by Friday it's supposed to be in the 50s and raining. But, by the evening the temps are supposed to be around 18 and the forecast says "Watching a potential winter storm". Our plan is to head to Virginia on Thursday, arriving mid-afternoon, where it's supposed to be raining. Their forecast for Friday is "Watching a potential winter storm". I figure as long as we make it there, we'll be fine.

  • Jim @dorbitz Google "Slide Ons" and you should see all sorts of different styles and lay outs.
The beauty of this, is because it has no wheels and it's on the back of a Ute, I don't have extra registration like I would if I was towing a caravan.

  • Jim @dorbitz Down here they are called Slide-Ons

  • Jim @dorbitz It is Australian made by an Australian company. It is made to sit on the back of a flat tray ute and can easily be removed if you want. Just wind down the legs unhook the tiedowns and drive away.

  • Jim @dorbitz and Nancy@jerseystar27. It is my home away from home or as I sometimes call it "My Cubby House" 😆 I love it!! and am always chomping at the bit to get away in it.
It also has a very easy to wind out awning, that I can set up a table & chair under and sit back relax and enjoy the view. I have a new collapsible firepit (easy storage when not in use) for sitting around a nice camp fire of an evening ( haven't used this one yet) and I also have another firepit, my cousin made me out of an old gas bottle. I cook on it, outdoors, in my cast iron camp oven, if I don't want to cook inside because the weather is so perfect.

    >center>

  • Jim @dorbitz I certainly don't rough it in my van. 😆 😆 I bought it brand new. It is nice and comfy and very cosy, has a fridge that runs on electricity or gas, 3 burner gas stove, hot water system that runs on electricity or gas, toilet and shower, onboard water tank. I can go off grid, find a nice spot beside a river, have all the comforts of home, including a big comfy bed. There is a skylight above my bed that I can lay there and look at the night sky and all its stars, there is no roughing it (I call it Glamping lol) and there is no need to be hooking up to electricity. Best thing I have ever purchased.

  • @dorbitz JimL, I'm with you! I need a door that closes, a bathroom with a sink & toilet, and a real bed. :~)

  • Hi Jim @dorbitz Those floods are devastating. It just seems it is flood after flood after flood, everywhere. But I am OK and out of harms way. I am just north of Sydney (approx 200 kilometres /124miles) We have been getting some nice weather here for a change but we still have had a few very heavy downpours here and there. It's still almost impossible to try and organise anything outdoors. Lots of places are still boggy. Had friends attempt a Swapmeet last weekend and they said it was a bust, Rain and very boggy grounds. Many months ago I bought a new collapsible firepit and a new camping chair and have yet to use them. Every time I just think about camping, the skies open up. It's not that I don't like camping in the rain. I actually quite like it (because I am not in a tent but a van LOL) but the grounds in a lot of places are so wet, chances are I'd get bogged. Our Roads are in a mess too.Pot holes everywhere

  • Good afternoon. Windy here and we have had no rain for a few days but weather reports say that will be short lived. I am still waiting on the roofer to get back here to have another look and to fix my still leaking roof. Hopefully 3rd time a charm

Nancy@jerseystar27 Yes I remember Jim aka Moose. Happy Heavenly Birthday to him. We have lost quite a few Glassies over the years 🙁 😥 This morning I was looking at some cards Marypat had made for me and sent to me and the Fenton basket Betty had sent me when DH was so ill and I was thinking of all the Glassies, no longer with us. Some I had never met in person but we had a bond, a genuine friendship.
Jim @dorbitz good to see that you will be getting a much deserved break. Enjoy
Katie @fyrqueen congrats to your son on his promotion
Carl @carma your garden sounds amazing.

  • @dorbitz Good to see you, Jim! Glad to hear you're able to come for air. Wow -- that is a big job on the porch. I've been the past week & a half setting up a new desk top computer -- and then moving the old one out of my home office and the new one in. It's close to be finished but I'm still trying to get the new one "personalized" (and get used to Windows 11) and there's lots of cleaning that need to be done. In the course of crawling under the desk to find cables and moving things, lots of clutter was moved around and now needs to be organized.

  • Good Morning. I decided to get in my van and have a little getaway, country winter camping by a river. Sitting around a nice warm firepit and cooking in the camp oven. Just what I needed, a break from routine and just to get away and enjoy the open space and beautiful sunsets and night skies.

    Jim @dorbitz

  • Belated Happy Birthday to @dorbitz JimL!!! We got back last night from several days in San Diego -- one of our nephews got married on Sunday. Both of our children came out (DS was our designated driver!) Got to catch up with various relatives we don't often see. Weather was nice -- though they now have humidity out there.

  • @dorbitz JimL, YIKES!! That is really awful. And I would guess it's us taxpayers who get in trouble if things aren't done correctly even if it's the fault of the IRS because they can't be reached. (And I know that should have been "here" not "hear" in my comment below but sometimes my fingers do their own thing!)

  • @fyrqueen Katie, sounds like the best kind of birthday celebration!

@dorbitz JimL, so, you survived tax season? Good to see you hear.

We just had a line of severe thunderstorms pass through. The good news is they weren't very severe -- heavy rain for a little bit and some lightening & thunder but no strong winds or hail. And the best news is that the temperature has dropped at least 15 degrees.

  • Good Morning. Our beautiful sunny Autumn days have come to a halt and we are back to rain. Just when my yard was almost dried out and the lawn all under control. It's school holidays down here and I have had a few days of Grandma duties. Lucky for me we struck perfect weather during those times so we could get outdoors, be active and enjoy ourselves. I was also lucky enough to have perfect weather over the Easter Long weekend to go camping.
My Grandson has his first game of soccer for the season tomorrow. I know one little boy that will be very disappointed if it is cancelled. He loves playing soccer but with covid and our crappy weather last season, soccer was almost non-existent and he is so keen and excited to get back to playing.
Jim @dorbitz you need to take some time to smell the roses and enjoy your retirement. I hope you get a break asap.

  • @dorbitz JimL -- so good to see you!! I thought it was tax season that was keeping you away. I hope you do get some time to destress and relax soon.

  • @dorbitz Good to see you, JimL! Chilly morning in NJ -- I actually turned the heat on in the house last night (still set it low). And I when I left the house at 8:30AM this morning, I put the heat on in the car. Although I find the online government stuff confusing and had heard how difficult filing for SS was, when I finally did it, it went fine. I filed online and then received a phone call from a very nice woman who walked me through several decision making steps and then the direct deposits started.

@fyrqueen Katie, I noticed a little more color this morning when I was out. And it definitely felt like Autumn this morning.

  • Good afternoon
Jim @dorbitz it is getting very few and far between posts here, these days. I think most are on Facebook and keeping in touch that way. Either on each others personal FB page or in some of the glass groups. I know, just about all my communications with anyone now, is through FB and Messenger.

  • @dorbitz JimL -- thank you so much!! We are looking forward to celebrating down here in Virginia with our daughter. Next week, for Yom Kippur, we'll be back in our home synagogue in NJ. (Actually, we'll be heading home this Wednesday afternoon.)

  • @dorbitz Happy Birthday, Jim!!!! I hope it's a great one.

We're at the Jersey Shore for the week (Barnegat Light on Long Beach Island). Our son was with us for the weekend but he drove back home this morning (someone has to take care of the house and the cats!) And our daughter drove up from Virginia yesterday and will be with us until Thursday morning. We share the house with my sister, her husband, and their son. As we haven't seen much of them over the past 1-1/2 years (although they live about 20 minutes from us), it's nice catching up with them. And sitting here, looking through the sliding glass doors at the ocean, is grand.

  • Good morning. It's starting to feel a lot like Spring here. I love this time of year where there is still a bit of winter in the mornings and evenings and sunny Spring weather during the day

Jim @dorbitz as they say "it's a small world"

Katie @fyrqueen I do know that the jadeite Hens on Nest have been reproduced but I am not sure how to tell the difference.I think there is an actual webiste for all the repro Jadeite and I am sure Fran (dbfrogs_Fran @fran) would know. Do you have her as a friend on Facebook?

  • @dorbitz JimL, what a wonderful surprise! And isn't it great that in spite of all the crazy and not nice things that keep popping up in our lives, every now and then there is one of those amazing, happy moments. And just hearing about it has made me smile and feel happy.

  • @dorbitz JimL, it's good to see you. Wow!! Certainly some major changes for you -- enjoy your summer!! Glad you got your vaccination. I'm just a month beyond my second Pfizer shot. The day after that shot I had a fever, was tired, felt nauseous, and spent the day sleeping. Fever gone the next day but tired for a few days after that. Just kept reminding myself it was all for the good. Definitely feeling more relaxed now that I've had my shots.

  • Good Morning. I wished daylight savings would end. It's still dark now when I get up to go to training, making it very hard to wake up when the alarm goes off. In it's wisdom, our stupid Government has decided to extend it to April 🙁
We have been getting plenty of rain this week and predictions are it will continue on into the weekend. I have my fingers crossed it will clear up by then. My bootcamp group have planned a walk around our beaches and a picnic afterwards. We have not had much luck this summer with our planned outdoor activities. Most have had to be cancelled because of rain or storms.
I think I have settled on early April as the date for when I will go back volunteering with BlazeAide ( helping farmers who have been badly affected by last years bushfires and some from floods, to rebuild their fences etc.) I'll leave here on Easter Monday and will commit for a week of hard labour with them. I may decide to stay on longer. That will just depend on how things are going and if they need me for longer.
Jim @dorbitz the break didn't hurt so it was well worth that helicopter ride 😆
Katie @fyrqueen I hope you are staying warm

  • Good Morning, I am still enjoying a very mild summer, nice sunny (not overly hot) days and some days that are cool, overcast and raining,
We celebrated my Aunty's 91st birthday on Saturday. She is so very spritely and moves around with about an effort, no aches or pains or stiffness. She even lifted her leg up over the table to show me her new shoes LOL Her mind though wanders and she forgets so much. But she is very healthy and happy.
Valentines Day was yesterday here and also it would have been my 34th Wedding Anniversary. I just stayed home and spent the day on my own

Jim @dorbitz that's how I broke my wrists putting it out to block the fall. Last one was done on black ice up in the Himalayas trekking and days of trekking from any help. Only transport was on foot or on the back of a mule or pony LOL So I was helicoptered out. Gotta love travel insurance 😀 OMG what an experience, absolutely breathtaking.
I am glad you are recovering OK but continue to take things easy for awhile.

  • @dorbitz JimL -- wow!! I'm glad you're okay and have healed up. I haven't being doing as much walking as usual because it's cold and because there's so much snow. Very few people who live on corners bother to shovel out the crosswalk opening -- very annoying!! Keep warm and safe and don't forget to take breaks from the taxes to at least walk around the room. DH is pulling together our paperwork and will hopefully contact our accountant soon.

  • @dorbitz JimL -- Thank you for the Chanukah wishes!!

So after snow showers in NJ, we'll have several warms days, upper 50s, and then next week back to chilly.

  • @dorbitz JimL -- I had something similar happen in the early days of shutdown/only essential shopping. Our food store had several checkout lines that were only for seniors -- and security guards to keep order up front. The security guard wasn't going to let me on the senior's line until I told him I'd had my Medicare card for four years already. He said he hoped he aged as well as I had. I'm sure the purple streak in my hair is part of what threw him off. :~)

It is snowing lightly in NJ -- not forecast to stick. It is 34 out, with a high expected of 36. But by Friday it's supposed to be back in the low 50s.

  • Good Morning It's a little overcast here so we may get some rain. Daylight Saving started here over the weekend and if you all remember I am not a fan of it at all.
Jim @dorbitz I am waiting on new neighbours too and wonder who I will get. I tell myself whoever they will b,e could not possibly be any worse than the previous ones. That woman had to be Satan's mother. She truly was evil to the core, such a never nasty wicked woman. When the neighbourhood learnt she only had weeks to live, I honestly thought they were going to throw a street party. How sad is that? That you live such a life and that ppl are happy you die. 🙁
It must be scary crazy times for you over there. How did your country get to the stage that a man is murdered because he simply asked someone to wear a mask in a bar. How did it come to this stage that a person thinks they can murder someone because they ask them to do the right thing. You take care and stay safe.

  • Good afternoon Happy Yom Kippur to those celebrating.
Nancy @jerseystar27 yes there is always a silver lining to everything. Sometimes we just have to look a little harder.
Jim @dorbitz so sorry life has become boring for you. I hope that changes soon. But as George @george said " sometimes boring can be good" I don't mind having a good lazy boring day lol

I went for a pushbike ride on Saturday with some of the girls from bootcamp. The weather conditions could have been better. It was so so windy and at times a struggle trying to ride in a straight line and keep on the road, the gusts were that strong. BUt all in all a great day out, and a challenge accomplished and one I am proud of completing .It's been a lot of years since I have ridden a bike. 26 kilometres all up from start to finish. Some of the younger ones ( I am talking 20 and 30 years younger then me) did not complete the round trip. They managed(some really struggling) to get to the Pub, where we stopped for lunch and they phoned for someone to come pick them up.But I think 14 kilometres is a good ride in those conditions so they should be proud of that.

  • @dorbitz JimL, thank you!! This is the solemn, introspective holiday -- but we're very happy now as we've had dinner after fasting since after dinner yesterday (service started at 6:15pm last night, so it was for about 25 hours).

Although there is much due to the pandemic that has made us unhappy & scared, there are silver linings. Our daughter lives in Virginia, while we're up in NJ. We've been enjoying Friday evening services with her via Zoom and since July, she has been leading the service (and I've been helping). Last week, we "joined" her for the two days of Rosh Hashanah services over Zoom. Prior to the pandemic, we'd already semi-planned to come down to Virginia for Yom Kippur. So we are in Virginia right now. It was fun doing the service with Kate, in her family room, joining her synagogue community via Zoom. We head back home tomorrow.

  • Good morning my outdoor training session this morning was cut short because it started to rain a little too heavy.

My poor little fur grandbaby, Hamish the Cavoodle, was taken to vet emergency yesterday with a suspected snake bite. Turns out it was a funnel web spider 🕷️ bite. Granddaughter sent me a video of him this morning . He is Ok now

Jim @dorbitz When I was working for Kmart I had one of the male managers come to me for help. There was a big brown snake out on the store room. Of course I told him where he could go. No way was I going anywhere near it lol. I was Manager of the Cafe , the snake 🐍 was in his department not mine lol

  • Good afternoon I am still enjoying the perfect Spring weather. I am going to lap it up and brag about it for as long as it lasts 😆

My green glass plinth sold, there was a bit of a bidding war on it too. I started it at $15 and it sold for $55 As with FB you have to do your own timing for auction ending. I thought the last bidder had placed her bid just seconds before auction ended and me closing the auction.BUt there was a dispute and Admin awarded the auction winner to the second highest bidder.I was lucky the lady was very gracious about it all. I'm not a big fan of FB auctions for that reason.

Jim @dorbitz are you referring to my riverbank pic with the brown snakes? Yes there probably is a brown snake or two and I'd say a red belly black snake or two as well, just coming out of hibernation and ready to catch some sun.

  • Good afternoon. Yet another perfect Spring day for us but early this morning was very chilly.Yesterday I managed to get my lawn mowed and all the edges whipper snipped and it looks so good atm. There are plenty of bees in my blossoming Grevillea tree which makes me feel good to see. Plenty of bird life too. The magpies were singing up a storm and the lorikeets are loving the bottle brush tree. Yesterday was "Wattle Day" Spring is truly here!! Sorry Jim @dorbitz I don't mean to rub it in 😆
I purchased a push bike on Monday and my next door neighbour has assembled it for me this morning. I will go for a ride tomorrow and get in practice, it's been awhile LOL A group of us from bootcamp have a day ride planned in a few weeks. We will be riding out to a little country pub for lunch and back.. It will be approx. 30 kilometer (19 miles) round trip. Should be fun, especially if this perfect weather keeps up. Only problem is the last leg of the ride home, up my street, will be the hilliest and hardest,

  • Jim @dorbitz seems big brother must have been listening because when I googled birthday cakes for Jim I got a whole heap of cakes with golfing themes. 😆

  • @dorbitz Happy Birthday, JimL!! I hope it's a good one.

Cool & rainy in NJ -- nice change.

  • @dorbitz JimL, my aunt and uncle (my dad's sister) lived in Kennett Square. When I was younger, we visited them every summer and that almost always included a trip to Longwood Gardens. I loved the fountain/light show they would do in the evening.l I haven't been there in years. I had thought of going with my dad but then he wasn't able to travel and it never happened. I really do need to get back there.

  • good morning

@dorbitz/JimL Loooking for some free advice. IRS refund tool says my retun was not received. Any suggestions other than hanging on the phone?

  • @dorbitz JimL, WOW! Sorry about the break-in, glad no major damage. I have a whole collection of cloth masks -- some are comfortable for my long walks -- but hard to talk in as the material gets in my mouth. Others are better for talking in but are not as comfortable when I'm doing my walks. I've read that in some parts of the country that are now "open", there are stores that have signs saying you CAN'T wear a mask in their establishment.

After several bands of showers yesterday afternoon and evening, it's pleasantly breezy this morning. My garden is happy that it's watered. And I just refilled the bird feeders, so the birds are happy too.

  • @wattleihavenext Julie, I have several "mantra" rings. One says "this too shall pass" (also Just Breathe, Let Go, and No Mud, No Lotus.)

@dorbitz JimL, first, on a regular basis, our brains are so full of information, some of it sometimes gets lost (I was trying to remember the names of our neighbors children and grandchildren yesterday, slowly started coming back -- just remembered the last grandchildren as I was typing this -- still only can remember 1 out of the 3 SILs). Second, we all have pandemic brain right now so everything is muddled (I do the weekly eLetter for our synagogue which includes the schedule for the weekend service -- on Zoom of course -- and totally blew the dates in Thursday's email. Said Friday was May 7 and then didn't change Saturday & Sunday from the week before.)

It is chilly & windy here in NJ too. At the moment (10AM) it's 39, feels like 30. At least it's nice & sunny. Very glad I tucked the delicate plants into my car last night. Will go visit them soon.

  • Good Morning. a chilly early start but it does Look like we are in for another perfect warm sunny Autumn day. It is Mothers Day tomorrow so let's hope this perfect weather continues for that. I am looking forward to lunch with my family at my DD's home and if this perfect weather continues it will be outside, sitting around the pool, . It has beautiful views and maybe a kangaroo or two will come visit. My adorable little Grand Daughter is doing the honours this year and she will be cooking for DD and me. This little 9 year old loves to cook and create and she is very good at it too. Can't wait.

Nancy @jerseystar27 I have been lucky. My favourite little coffee shop where i get my coffee each morning ater training is still operating but only as takeaway. No sitting in allowed. But at least I get to have a little normality and my little treat.

Jim @dorbitz Marypat passed away January 2018

George @george Yes Susu tracked down MP's obituary

    MaryPat DeGroodt

  • Good Morning Another gorgeous sunny Autumn morning down here. Such perfect weather.
Jim @dorbitz It is always so sad to hear of a young one loosing their life in a car accident. Very tragic for all those involved.

Fran @fran2 A lot of our businesses have adapted so well to all this. Most have the call in pickup only service. It was that or shut shop. A lot are now even offering home delivery, where before it was dine in only. Some offer free delivery, some for a small fee and some free delivery if your order is above a certain $$. Some stores are offering shop online and pay (Click and collect) , they will get your order ready and you call in and pick up. I think it seems to be working well for them.My regular coffee shop I go to after my training sessions has adapted well. One person at a time in the shop to place order. Most of us just have to stand in the door way and they see us and automatically know our order. Once the order is placed we then wait outside at a good distance (It's located in the perfect spot to be able to stay well away from anyone) Matt will call out your name when your order is ready. He has it ready on the counter and stands the required distance away. No cash sales. It is tap and go only, so we do not even touch the machine for payment. No contact at all with anyone or anything.
    Julie

  • Good Morning. A beautiful rainy morning, perfect for a Saturday morning sleep in.

Carl @carma our petrol prices have dropped too. But I can't take advantage of it yet till I am out of isolation. Knowing my luck when I go to fill up the cars on Monday it will have gone back up.

Katie @fyrqueen we are lucky too, to have some of our local farmers doing home deliveries. Some have also set up Non contact services too. The Fresh produced boxed and customer purchases online or over phone and pick it up through a drive through process And all hygiene protocol adhered to. A lot of local businesses here have made the adaption to home deliveries, Some of the pubs that had to close their doors were selling their Kegs to the public too. These times are certainly making the business owners think outside the square. The ones that have not gone with the times and have refused to keep up with technology I would think would be suffering right now

Jim @dorbitz If you decide to wear gloves you will be required to change them for every new customer you deal with. IMHO Good hand sanitizer, recommended by the Health Department would probably be better.
BTW I emailed my bank and they are still opened for customers that require personal attention. So that's good I can organise that part of my finances when I am out of isolation.

  • Good Morning. OUr beautiful Autumn weather continues. Yesterday was gorgeous and finished off with some lovely rain. Woke this morning to lovely sunshine. Everything looks and feels so fresh and alive.
I had my first grocery delivery yesterday. A little local supermarket is delivering to those in isolation, free of charge. Order and pay over the phone and they deliver to your door. Drop, yell out it's there and leave. NO contact at all.

Jim @dorbitz Sorry to hear about your DR. Cancer Sucks
I have to look into what is happening with our Banks down here too. I don't recall seeing any mention or restrictions for them. But I haven't read all the rules thoroughly yet. I will need to go to my Bank on Monday, once I am out of isolation. I do most of my banking online and use my card but there is one investment acct I have to go in and do any transactions or transfers in person and I need to sign papers. I am wondering if they will actually give me cash?? Handling money is a perfect way to spread germs of any type. I must look into that today

  • Good Morning. It's a beautiful sunny morning. I am so glad summer and the high temps have gone.

Jim @dorbitz LOL pretty fancy Uber isn't it LOL

George @george it was amazing. And to think all those buildings, the materials were either carried up on someone's back or on a donkey. I love Nepal and I love the ppl

Fran2 @fran2 we are going into winter and our Flu season. So I think it will be chaos here for awhile. So many ppl will be presenting with cold and flu symptoms, so the scare will continue here. Anyone with a runny nose or cough will panic and so will everyone around them. But eventually ppl will start to settle down and life will get back to normal. Good hand hygiene is the key to not spreading sickness. Common soap and water and a good wash.

  • @dorbitz JimL :~) You are right, that is not something I would usually say. :~)

  • Jim @dorbitz it was put in the fridge for an hour as per instructions. Grand daughter wouldn't let me get it out before the hour was up LOL She has to do it all by the book .

  • Good Morning I am sighing a big ish of relief. aaarrrrr it is so much cooler today. I am not sure I could have survived another day. Yesterday the humidity was disgusting. I only had to blink and the sweat wold pour off me.
A friend of mine who is a volunteer firefighter has been deployed again and has headed south to fight more fires. she is only only young and a newly wed. I do hope she stays safe.

Katie @fyrqueen very pretty but sorry I can not help.
Jim @dorbitz Crown Crystal copied a lot of other company's patterns. Two more (off the top of my head) to add to the list was Bagley's and August Walther . They didn't do a complete line of the items, just one or two things.I discovered a few days ago that a vase I once had and always thought was Bagley turns out to be Crown Crystal.

  • Good Morning and it is a much better morning I survived yesterday but it has really drained me of energy.A combination of the heat and of just sitting around doing nothing. Looks like we received some rain last night, not heavy rain but just misty drizzling rain which I couldn't hear on the roof. Temps have dropped, we are now down to 24C(7a.m), but it is still "sticky"
Bushfires are still raging in some areas of NSW and more homes were lost over the weekend.I read an article that the USA firefighters that came here to help said they have never seen anything like it in their firefighting lives. They fought the fires in California too. I keep asking myself "when is this ever going to end?"
Katie @fyrqueen our roads melt a bit down here. I remember as a child my best friend on I would dig out the lumps of ore in the asphalt. LOL Now I am thinking about that I have no idea why we did it LOL
Carl@carma so sad that the township is dying 🙁 Tourism has taken a huge dive down here too because of the fires and drought. so many towns that relied on tourism are struggling. There is a campaign down here now "Go support a little country town hit by droughts and fires" There is even a FB page "Buy from the BUsh" now set up that you can buy online from them. Homemade, handmade or from the little local dress shop instead of the big shopping centre companies in the Cities etc. I know quite a few friends buying gifts and items that way now. A company has also set up bus tours for shopping to struggling towns (weekend away trips) to help input some $$ into the struggling towns.
Jim @dorbitz I am struggling with this heat now. Now it is a humid heat and it has to be the worst kind. Before Xmas there was no humidity , and though it was hot and temps were way up there over the 40C, I coped much better. The weekend away I had to Currabubula (out west and very hot) It didn't feel near as bad as here. It was actually quite bearable
George @george yep give me cold over hot anyday. I just keep looking at photos of my next trek to Nepal. all those mountains with snow on them, look sooooooo good.

  • Good Morning. Waiting and praying for rain
Jim@dorbitz unfortunately our PM only says what he thinks will make him appear more appealing. He thinks if he admits he did wrong we will all forgive him. A lot of tax payers money was spent on him being taught how to be empathetic. True story!! That money could have bought some proper breathing apparatus for our volunteer firefighter, instead of them having to start up a Go Fund me to get them themselves. OK I am shutting down I can feel a big rant coming on LOL

  • Good Morning. Another hot day ahead for us down under. 41C. Our skies have cleared from a lot of the smoke but No rain in sight for us here. Much, much further north is dealing with some floods.I think as a result of the cyclone in Fiji. It would be wonderful if it could make its way south and to the farming areas that really need it.
It was my granddaughters 9th birthday yesterday and today would have been my Father's

Jim @dorbitz glad to hear your gout has let up. And congratulations on your weight loss WTG YOU!! I've gained a few kilos 😆 a combination of the cruise and this time of year, eating and drinking too much. Come January 1st I'll be back to a healthier lifestyle and my usual routine. I need it gone before the Nepal Trek.

Katie @fyrqueen they are interesting items. Do they have holes where you can sew them on to a garment?

  • Good afternoon. What a difference a day makes. We are at 23 Celsius (@1.30p.m) with a lovely cool breeze blowing. Such a big relief from yesterday's fan forced oven conditions.

Carl @carma enjoy your time with Emma and Marley.
Jim @dorbitz it is our longest day here.

  • Good Morning. Air is still and temp's already at 20C at 7.am (take into consideration that this is daylight savings time)
I have to get my yard mowed and I really can't put it off any longer. I am so not looking forward to it. I have been putting it off because of the poor air quality filled with so much smoke. But looks like things are not going to improve in the near future. So I just have to "suck it up Princess" 😆 and get out there and do it.
Woke to a report that 2 firefighters have died fighting fires. How very tragic 🙁 Xmas will never be the same for their families 🙁
No word from our Prime Minister yet either.
Jim @dorbitz -12C is sounding pretty good atm LOL
George @george I am glad the move is going well for you.

    Julie

  • Jim @dorbitz so sad that the leaders of both our country don't give a toss about anyone but themselves. How did we get into this mess? 🙁

On a happier note... I have Xmas dinner tonight with my Trivia team before trivia tonight. Thursday the Grandkids may be coming here to decorate my house and in the early evening it will be a fun 12 Days to Xmas work out with the bootcamp team with a BBQ afterwards. I have a Xmas party on Saturday at one of my niece's home with family and friends. Monday hopefully a pre Xmas catch up dinner with another niece who can't spend Xmas with me this year like she always has done. So a busy social calendar ahead for me. By NY Day I am ready to get back to a normal routine and eating habit LOL

  • Good Morning. My bootcamp group had their Xmas party last night. Such a fun lot to party with. Dinner drinks and a great band to dance to.

Today is DH's memorial. I can't believe it has been 11 years.

Jim @dorbitz I've survived 45C here. Some places have reached 50 °C but that is inland in the middle of nowhere LOL

  • Good Morning Our weather report for today
"A hot and windy day on the way, as a trough makes its way towards the region...
Very hot air being drawn over us from the interior, most locations will hit 40Celsius°, even coastal areas will push 40.
NW wind will start to increase around lunchtime, then southerly wind later in the afternoon.
Gusts could reach 60km/hr for some locations".

Jim @dorbitz NZ is absolutely amazing, such a beautiful country. SO very picturesque . The green is as green as can be and the colour of the water is breathtaking. Just like the post cards. I have been there twice and there is a plan to go again within the next 2 years. It is only approx a 2 hour flight from Sydney for me.

  • Well it is back to reality and the smoke filled air here. Bushfires all around are still a big issue and it feels like I am looking through orange tinted glasses. Eyes are starting to get scratchy again and I feel like I have a throat full of dust.
George @george I hope the move is going smoothly
Katie @fyrqueen Mystery Island was like a little paradise.I just relaxed there on the beach and swam in that DDG water. Some went snorkelling and the photos they took are amazing.
Jim @dorbitz my next trip is in March and I am going back to Nepal to do another trek but this time it will be to Langtang valley which is north of Kathmandu and an area I have not yet seen. I will be over there for the Holi Festival before the trek starts too. I had so much fun last year for that, I can't wait to do it again.
Carl @carma yes I did have a great time. It is a beautiful part of the world and that water is magic, so clear, so clean, so pretty and the people are beautiful. We were well looked after.

  • Good Morning. All you can smell here is bushfires. The air quality is very poor, filled with smoke and dust. When is this madness going to end? I think Mother Nature has forgotten how to rain down here. I think maybe she has cried that much about what we have done to this country and she has run out of tears. I hang my head in shame that our Government thinks more of big Coal Companies and their greed then they do of our farmers and our rivers.......but that's a different story and this is not the place.

I took my 2 friends for the hike up the mountain yesterday . It took us 2 hours up and back. They did struggle which was totally expected. But they did not give up and they did it. I told them, compared to the mountains in Nepal, here in Aus ours are speed humps. LOL They have about 6 months to get ready. If they want it badly enough they will train and do what is required to be ready.
Gai @gailmacphee Nice to see you. Please visit here more often, I am sorry to hear about your DH. It can be hard work caring for another but I am so pleased you can still get out and about treasuring hunting.
    Jim @dorbitz nice shades
Hi Shelly @shellyrae37 Good to see you pop in for a visit. It is very quiet here these days. The hike yesterday was just a little teaser for my friends and a very small fraction of what we will be doing in Nepal.
My family is doing well. Kids are growing

  • Good Morning. Its is going to be a hot one today. Already the wind is hot and it's only 10.30 a.m.
Today is a day of very mixed emotions. It is my darling grandsons 7th birthday and also the memorial of my eldest brother. And tomorrow would have been DH's birthday. He would have been 70
Nancy @jerseystar27 ((((hugs))) to you and I am glad to read you are working on getting some "me time" It is so necessary to do something good for yourself such as Walking and Yoga. It is good for the body but as you fully well know it is very good for the mind too. And that is important. Please give Mike my regards and I hope the therapy helps.

Jim @dorbitz Up until my early 30's I was a gym junkie LOL I spent many hours there each day,5 days a week. Now I think I am a bootcamp addict LOL 6 days a week doing at least 8 sessions a week. I feel so good about myself physically and mentally. 6 years ago I would never have thought I'd be doing Nepal treks, park runs, running stairs and even doing one burpee seemed impossible LOL But here I am aged 64 and doing it. And the best thing is I am still setting goals and I am still making small improvements

  • @dorbitz JimL two words for you -- self care! You've been doing a really good job getting back in shape. Going back to the gym, especially in the winter when you can't spend as much time walking outside, would be a really good thing. If you're going to take on three jobs, you need to make sure you're taking time for yourself so you are able to handle all the work.

I'm working on that for myself. I need to get back in my walking routine. I am going to Yoga 3 to 4 times per week. It's been a very tough year. Just passed the one-year anniversary of my dad's death. One year for my mom will be the end of January. And, because apparently the universe decided my life was getting too calm, the Monday before Labor Day weekend my DH suffered a mild stroke. No real physical symptoms but subtle changes in his mental health, what they call Executive Functions (focusing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, etc.) We finally had a follow-up with the neurologist 1-1/2 weeks ago. He prescribed Cognitive Rehab Therapy -- first session was today. At the very least, I hope we get to the point where DH agrees I've not become an even bigger nag and I'm not trying to micromanage his life.

  • Good Morning. I had a very early start . I had to be at DD's by 5 a.m because she was working in Sydney today and had to leave early to get there. It's a 2 -2 1/2 hour commute if no traffic delays (And there usually is). Now I am about to head off to bootcamp for 45 mins of sweating.LOL

George @george I hope the treatment will be painless and and easy fix. Gentle (((hugs))) to you

Jim @dorbitz you certainly are a busy man holding down 3 jobs. Congratulation on your weight loss. It does feel good to be able to be more active. I have just completed a 28 Day Fitness Challenge with my Bootcamp team And I was the winner. I am feeling pretty good about myself with that.
I thought you might like to show your mate this little meme LOL

  • @george George, sending gentle {{hugs}} and healing thoughts -- I hope all will be okay!!

@dorbitz JimL, hi back at you!! Glad things are going well. The new/added job sounds like it could lead to good things.

Meanwhile, here in NJ, it's a beautiful, sunny day and a little warmer than it's been.

  • Good Evening.
It is school holidays down here so I have been busy with the Grandkids. Movies, train rides, tram rides , walks and the beach. The weather has been perfect.

Jim @dorbitz Congratulations on your weight loss and it sounds like you are doing it the correct way. No fad dieting that can not be sustained. Eat well and eat right is the way to go.

Hello back to you Marson @panishklo I wish we could have some of that rain. The drought down here is taking its toll on so many communities.

  • Good Morning It is a gorgeous warm sunny Spring day. As nice as it is, rain would be good.
Now Spring is here and it is light earlier we trained this morning down on the river bank. A nice start to the day.
Katie @fyrqueen I'd love to see your rose bowl and spitoon. I don't think there is any other way to show pics here unless you upload to an image host. I always use the one in the Image Wizard tutorial. It's very easy to use.
Jim @dorbitz beautiful glass . Thanks for sharing

  • Good Morning, This horrid wind continues down here and is suppose to get worse today before it starts to ease by tomorrow.

George @george I hope your eyes feeling OK after the shots. I have a friend that has started getting them

Jim @dorbitz You know what they say about "All work and no Play?"

Nancy @jerseystar27 Now that is something I love, avocado and smoked salmon, together. YUM

Marson @panishklo I hope you are keeping well. I have no doubt that the family will not let the 84 year old go picking blueberries next year.

Katie @fyrqueen I don't blame you. With that unthankful attitude, I would make sure I was not be available ever again.

  • @george George, the first time my daughter had a chocolate chip bagel with lox, I was horrified. Her response was "what about chocolate-covered pretzels?" I still am not sure about the fishy part of the lox and the chocolate but it makes her happy. I usually have my lox with a toasted bialys.

@dorbitz JimL, we've been coming to LBI for years. This is our second year at this rental house. The one we had been renting for many years was sold last year. We were sad to see it go, but we're enjoying this house. We're at the quiet end of the island -- away from the amusement park and most of the bars.

  • @dorbitz JimL, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope you're doing something fun to celebrate the day.

  • @carma Carl, must be a later blueberry season all over. I'm still able to get NJ blueberries at the store -- usually by this time of year there just about gone and we've moved on to blueberries from Michigan.

    @dorbitz JimL, enjoy your vacation!

So far this morning we've had two showers that lasted about five minutes -- barely wet anything. Based on radar, though, it looks like some real rain will show up later.

  • Good Morning. It's cold again here this morning brrrrr But Thank God, no wind !!!. The wind did eventually drop yesterday so it ended up not being too bad in the afternoon. I can't believe the reports of the snow some places have been getting around here Unbelievable!!! Some do normally get a little light dusting, which you really couldn't call snow but the amount these places received looked like they were right in the middle of the snow skiing regions. Its been a very weird Winter. We have experienced extreme cold and also record high temps. CRAZY!!

Carl @carma I am glad you finally got to see Emma. Have to agree that kind of camping, overcrowded and so close to each other is no fun at all. I like nice quiet spots, where you can sit and relax.I do enjoy meeting other campers and having a chat but I don't want them right on top of me.

Jim @dorbitz Good to hear you are feeling much better. And congratulations on the weight loss and blood pressure. . Enjoy your break, I hope you win big at the Casino and happy glass hunting

  • @dorbitz JimL, not lost, too much to do. Still finishing up the last of the paperwork/assessments I need to do for school (should be done in the next day or so). Still dealing with moving stuff (boxes) from my parents' house to mine (which means I need to do major decluttering to make space). Their house is officially on the market. {sigh} We were supposed to have a mini-vacation last week, a long weekend in Seattle. We were scheduled to fly out on Saturday, June 29 and return on Wednesday, July 3. Unfortunately there was a major issue at Newark airport. A flight leaving LaGuardia damaged its landing gear on take-off and made an emergency landing at Newark, blowing out two tire. Everyone was successfully evacuated but it closed the airport for an hour and then closed the runway for hours. Our flight kept getting delayed because our plane was still in Myrtle Beach. When it finally took off for Newark, it was late afternoon & the thunderstorms had moved in. The plane was diverted to Baltimore but was still supposed to make it to Newark. By then the t'storms had moved up to NJ and our flight, plus many others, was cancelled. As there was nothing really available on Sunday, we cancelled our trip. Unfortunately, our luggage did go to Seattle -- it didn't get delivered back to our house until Wednesday morning. Needless to say, instead of being able to relax for a few days, I was more stressed than ever.

  • Good Morning very foggy here this morning but once that lifts we are in for another DDG sunny AUtumn day

Jim @dorbitz enjoy your walk. Its always hard getting started again but it won't be long and you'll be back in the swing of things. Just keep reminding yourself just how good it feels

  • Good Morning. It's a little chilly but not too chilly, sun is shining and sky is clear.Looks like we are in for another perfect Autumn day here.I've been to training (stairs session today) and then met friend for the 5 klm walk.
    Jim @dorbitz Come on down!!! 😆 😆 😆

  • Good morning. It is Thursday here and what I call my sleep in/ rest day, where I just get up when I wake up (usually 7-7.30a.m) By Thursday I have usually done 5 bootcamp sessions. Yesterday I did 3 sessions plus a 5klm walk, so I need the rest. The 5 kilometre walk was with a friend I am helping to improve her health and fitness. She wants to do a 35klm fundraiser walk with me that I am doing in July. I'll walk with her and encourage her (3 days a week after my bootcamp sessions) to get her ready..It's been a long time since she has done anything physical, so yesterday she did struggle a little towards the end, doing 5kilometres. But with encouragement and consistency she will improve. It took us an hour. At that pace it will take us about 7 hours for the 35k walk. It is advertised as "The Bloody Long Walk" and helps raise $$ for Mitochondrial Disease.
So today my plan is to just potter around the house and do (or don't do) whatever I feel like. The weather this morning is just perfect!! Clear, blue, warm, sunny sky. At 9 a.m it is 13 Celsius. Perfect for just lazing around till bootcamp this afternoon at 5p.m with Grand Daughter. I love doing this with her, It is so special that we can train together.

Jim @dorbitz Totally understand your reluctance in accepting the position. But I know you must be feeling pretty chuffed about being offered the job. GO YOU!!

Nancy @jerseystar27 I wish you all the best in your retirement

  • @dorbitz JimL -- it is nice to be recognized but I totally understand your reluctance. I supposed that the one real positive from the corporate job would be health benefits. I worked in the corporate world for many years. After getting down-sized in the late 90s, I started my own small consulting business. Never, ever wanted to be back in the corporate world. Eventually that morphed into part-time teaching at a university. But, as this semester is drawing to a close, it is my last. As I'm a few years older than you, I have officially filed for social security. Yay!

  • Good morning, Hopefully the heatwave is behind us . It's another lovely morning here. Temp atm is 15C But we are expected to reach 35C. I use to once think that was a super hot day. Not anymore LOL Those relentless 40+ days just about did me in LOL.
Spare a thought for our farmers down here. They were doing it very tough with record drought conditions and now they have lost so much through record flooding conditions. Mother Nature sure isn't happy these days.
Jim @dorbitz I broke my front tooth last year and my dentist rebuilt it around what was remaining.Roots were still strong and in good condition. I have had a couple of my back teeth done the same way.

  • Good Morning. Thankfully the cool change has arrived here and with a little bit of rain. I am feeling half human again!! This morning it was stairs day at bootcamp. It felt so good to be running in the drizzling rain, after all that heat we have had.
I am getting very excited!! Today I will be booking my flights to Nepal. Another trek coming up for me.
Jim @dorbitz snakes aren't my favourite thing either LOL Apparently where I do the Parkrun, there have been a few brown snake sightings.

  • Good afternoon ...🔥🔥hot! hot ! hot! 🔥🔥 is all I can say LOL 36Cesius and still climbing and it will continue to climb for another hour at least before it starts to drop.

Jim @dorbitz We don't get to talk or see much glass in this group anymore so I thought some pretty glass would be nice for a change 😊

  • @dorbitz JimL, It's the weather. My son couldn't start his car even after it sat in the sun; AAA came and was able to start it but tested the battery and said it was on its last legs, so he got a new battery. Later in the afternoon I went out first to the rehab facility to see my mom, then to a Panera's to pick up a sandwich before I headed to a meeting. Car wouldn't start when I came out. I was on hold for over 30 minutes waiting for AAA to answer and then it took an hour for a truck to show up. He jumped and I went home (didn't really want to go to that meeting anyone). Luckily I was able to sit in the Panera's (and charge my phone which was needed while being on hold all that time).

  • @dorbitz JimL, I was also disappointed the Saints didn't win (and not happy about NE). NY Times sports section had a brilliant headline: Rams Win Big, And it Wasn't Easy.

Windy and cold here in northeast NJ. Current temperature is 5, windchill is -15. Need to see if sitting in the sun will allow DS's car to start -- he was going to go to the gym earlier but car wouldn't start.

  • Wishing all who are celebrating a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

@dorbitz JimL, :~) That does look more like a Chanukah decoration than something for Christmas.

    @maryb MaryB, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

  • Good afternoon. today was a little cooler than it has been. Another storm came through late yesterday and eased the humidity and heat a tad. It's school Holidays here so I have been busy with the Grandkids
Jim @dorbitz LOL I am glad I was not the only one re Xmas LOL I do my grocery shop on Tuesdays This Tuesday I bought some food items for Xmas day and thought to myself that I'd get the rest of the Xmas day food on my next grocery shop. Came home and realised that there was not a next grocery shop because Xmas was the following Tuesday LOL WOW it has really snuck up on us
    BTW nice Jug
Shelly @shellyrae37 It's lovely to see you come by for a catchup. Yes the grandkids are growing up so fast. I read their school reports today and I must say I am a very proud
Grandma. They are both doing very well in school.
Sorry to hear your son has so much pain.
Marson@panishklo take care waddling on those slippery paths

  • Jim @dorbitz the ride was amazing. Wished my phone camera showed the true aqua colour of the ocean. So so very pretty and our sand is white. It truly is a gorgeous part of the world.

Marson @panishklo yes we must enjoy our lives without them. It is hard sometimes but I do have a very good loving circle of friends and family always surrounding me.

Nancy @jerseystar27 yes it is hard to believe it has been 10 years

  • @shellyrae37 Shelly, Happy Birthday!! I hope you had a great day.

    @wattleihavenext Julie, {{hugs}} I can't believe it's 10 years.

@panishklo Marson, {{hugs}} to you too.

    @dorbitz & @carma JimL and Carl -- glad you're both feeling & walking better!

@george George, glad the shots are helping your eyes.

We've been back & forth to DD's in Virginia a few times in the past month. DH had two different conferences down in DC -- I went down for part of each. Besides DD, DH's sister & BIL live down there as well as their daughter, SIL, and two grandkids. And my brother's son & his fiancee are also down there, so we have lots of people to visit.

  • Good Morning, It's raining here so it has cooled down a bit.We have had some hot days.
I have the grandkids School Presentation Day, this morning. My Granddaughter is receiving a reward, so there will be a very proud Grandma moment. She is growing up so fast and I must say, very proudly, into a beautiful young girl. Grandson is adorable too. Love them both. She has a thirst for knowledge I have never seen in someone so young., He just loves to play and if he could be educated using Beyblades, he would be a genius LOL
Jim @dorbitz I hope your gout settles down quickly.
Katie @fyrqueen I am glad you are doing well with the toys. 70's stuff is very popular now.

  • Jim @dorbitz LOL yes it seems that way doesn't it LOL. I do love a good breakfast, especially after a challenging bootcamp session.

  • @dorbitz JimL, my desktop at home is Windows 7, my laptop is Windows 10 (which is way better than 8.1). Windows 10 is much closer to Windows 7 than 8/8.1 ever were. It's not bad at all and I sometimes find myself trying to use something that's on Windows 10 with my desktop.

  • Good Morning Overcast and cooler here . I had a great start to my weekend. We trained down at the beach and run the step stairs there, followed by a session on the beach and a cool down swim in the ocean baths. Afterwards a well deserved breakfast at the Surf Life house overlooking the beach. I absolutely love those sessions when we do them. Hard but rewarding and you couldn't get a more magnificent view to do it.
Jim @dorbitz gLad to see you are improving.I hear you re the pain meds. When I broke my wrist they prescribed pain meds for me but I honestly didn't want to take them. I took the 1st 2 because of the predicted severe pain I would be in after they tried unsuccessfully to manually to realign the bones. After that I didn't take anymore even after surgery when they had to put in a metal plate.

It will be a bit of a bittersweet day today. I am having my nieces and daughter around. I have all of my late sisters jewellery here and we are going to sort through it and each will take pieces as a memento. There will be tears and there will be plenty of laughter as we remember her and the fun things her and I use to get up to. They didn't call us the Crazy Aunts for nothing LOL

  • The sun is finally out. We ended up with about 3 to 4 inches of snow. Woke up this morning to sleet and rain though, so there may have been more snow. Luckily we had no where to go yesterday. My sister was lucky she got home when she did -- if she had left work at her usual time, she would have found a line outside the bus terminal and around the block. Amazing how something relatively small can cause so much havoc. Lots of delayed openings today.

@dorbitz JimL, glad you're starting to feel better and that you are taking it slow and easy. I'm with you on the pain stuff -- why? Years ago I had a bad case of bronchitis and the doctor prescribe cough medicine with codeine. I remember lying in bed and hearing people talk to me and not being able to respond. Once it wore off, I dumped the rest of the bottle down the drain -- I didn't ever want to feel that way again.

  • Good Morning. It is a beautiful morning here. atm Perfect temp and clear sunny sky. I love these kind of mornings
Jim @dorbitz yes "this too shall pass" . I often find myself saying that and I always think of Maypat when I do. Such a beautiful caring lady. I was very sad when I lost contact with her. Another one of her sayings that I loved and do use on the odd occasion is "Grandma's slow, BUT she's old you know" LOL The grandkids give me a weird look when I say that, because they think their Grandma can do anything LOL But we won't tell them any different LOL
Just remember dolly steps at a time and build on that each day and before long you'll be running
Katie @fyrqueen that is such wonderful news, Mike is doing so well.

  • @dorbitz JimL, continue to heal and feel better. This too shall pass! ;~) (I knew there was a third person I'd meant to leave a message for -- sorry I forgot you the first time!!)

  • Jim @dorbitz we all lost contact with her. I tried continuously phoning her but always got message bank. Last I remember when some of us tried all avenues, her Dh Bill/Lars had passed away she was in a Nursing Home. And no word since then.
Fran @fran2 yes I was wanting to win the helicopter ride that was donated to our fundraiser for Palliative Care, that I was involved in organising but I didn't win that one. A friend who owns a Pub here decided to do a fundraiser for the Farmers and the same company donated a Helicopter Ride for that cause. I'll be taking my B.I.L and my niece. Us three always do some kind of adrenaline activity each year or so.e.g skydiving, ziplining, shot over boats, climb Sydney Harbour Bridge to the very top. and a few other crazy things LOL
