It's been a long time since I've been here, but I have a friend who contacted me tonight with a question. She has been given a set of glassware that has a closed handle on the cups. Her question was "Why did they do this and is it uncommon?" I could only find one pattern with a cup like that, but I didn't look too long. My guess it is simply a design decision, but that is just my opinion. The pattern that I found was Radiance by New Martinsville....I'm sure there are others. What is the opinion here....I'm sure that if someone knows it will be this group! 🙂 Shanigirl (Ruth)

I am so ready for a beautiful green lawn like yours. The only good thing about all this late snow is that maybe....maybe it will help relieve the drought here.

@george Sorry to hear you are going through eye issues. My DH has had 2 detached retinas, one in each eye. He lost the vision in his Right Eye after several different types of surgery to try and save it. One of them was the bubble of gas that is put there to hold the retina in place and after that one he had to lay face down for about 2 weeks. That was certainly a difficult time for him, so I hope you continue to do well. Its good you can spend time on your laptop....make time go faster I am sure.
