• @donnah Hi DONNAH, sounds like a wonderful week you have planned. Enjoy your friends, I am sure you will have a blast..

  • Good Morning All:

@cxgirl : You're most welcome. Keeping track of glass factory ownership, mould transfers & names CAN be quite confusing. I really feel sorry for future researchers trying to nail down glass goings-on from the 1960's-present era. There have been so many glass closings over the last 20-40 years (Imperial, Westmoreland, Summit, L.G.Wright and now Fenton), and is some cases the moulds owned by them have already changed hands 4,5 or 6 times! Going to be just about impossible for anyone to sort it all out.

@donnah: Mahnin'Neighbah. Ayuh! I'm just about 100 miles north of you, in Andover.

  • Gee, I've had company in and out of the house or on the phone all evening.

@dorbitz JIML ... If you click on anyone's picture you will see their Display Name and to the side of it you will see their Log-in name. For half of us, the Display and Log-in names are the same. For the other half, they are different. If you put an @ sign in front of the LOG-IN name, the person mentioned will get an email telling them that they have been mentioned.

Up in the right hand area of the screen the "How To" Manual tab fills you in on a lot of these little tricks. 🙂

@donnah DONNAH ... Good to see you. Hope you've had a fine day.

@decoqueen JANICE ... Was wondering if the Museum of American Glass was some place different or if it was the West Virginia Museum of American Glass that you were referring to? Boy, sure do wish my bookshelves were filled with all their books, monographs, catalogs, and papers!

  • @donnah DONNAH ... Oh, I love that story! That's too adorable. 🙂

I'm busy trying to get some listings done. For me the real bear is trying to get decent pictures. I just can't get any consistency in the lighting. For every 100 pics, I reluctantly choose 5 of the lesser evils. Back to work.........

  • @donnah ... Bravo! What a beautiful dog! Are you a Donna or a Donnah? Wasn't certain if the "h" was the initial for your surname as several glassies have done that when there's more than one with the same first name or if that was the actual spelling of your given name.

@goodwinantiques LEAH ... You had mentioned your age but not the actual month/day of your birthday. Don't believe we have you on the birthday list yet unless I missed it.

  • @donnah DONNA ... can you use the same eBay avatar here? That way a lot of people will recognize you even if you are using a different display name.

  • @donnah - I have had to be really tough with myself about collecting. When your business is glass the temptations are huge and you can end up on TV as the hoarder of the week. I am only collecting glass pumpkins. I just love the darn things for some reason. If I ever get them dusted and rearranged I will get a photo. Your green and red glass must make a beautiful display.

  • @donnah DONNA ... Welcome to the Glass Chatroom! So glad you joined us!

@suzy SUZY ... I'm doing nine things at once and hadn't even scrolled yet when I saw the Czech dish...I had one at one time too and thanks to Fran found out the real ID. This cool weather is HEAVENLY! Unbelievable! Forgot what COOL felt like! And yes, I'm up to my ears in alligators trying to get some stuff ready to take to Joplin later today. Actually Joplin is a bit closer to me than Tulsa. Takes about 50 minutes to get to there. You would not have seen damage from the highway. It was in the center of town. There are still mounds of rubbish and demolished buildings piled up but so much clean-up has transpired that mainly you see just flat grated land. It cut right through the heart of the main road I travel to the mall.

I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time at the Fenton show. It sounds perfect...perfect day, perfect drive, perfect new friend, perfect new glass experience....it doesn't get any better than that!

Back to packing for the mall....
