    Good afternoon Glass Friends,
My day has been kinda back and forth. Had an appointment for a first visit with a new primary care doctor. My former PMCD, young woman with young family, had folded her tent. I think she wanted to have more time with her family.

Anyway the new PMCD postponed my appointment until mid August. I need a prescription NOW. So will go with the Nurse Practitioner tomorrow to get that taken care of.

So while out I got my hair cut at Great Clips---- really cut short this time. I gave the beautician a nice tip and told her to make a note in their computer of this cut. Maybe I can wait 3 months for the next cut instead of the regular 2 months.

We were also checking a couple of dry cleaners to see what it would cost to have a 2 piece lined wool skirt suit cleaned------ $12 at the first stop and $12.50 at the other place.

@ohiostar Fenton, I think I maybe could have that potato skinned and half eaten by the time the demonstrator got all of the stuff together. As my mom used to say "i could have that done and gone home while you were trying to save 3 minutes."
OTOH, I will recommend doing 2-3 potatoes in the microwave for making a small batch of potato salad. The microwaved potatoes are easily skinned.

@amber1986 amber, I think you just have to try different back ground colors for glass or anything else for that matter. I do notice that quite a few posters have taken pictures outside on a wide porch rail. Light can make a huge difference. There too you can have too much or too little.

And fruits rarely need any treatment for freezing. Maybe some thinned lemon juice on freezer bound peaches or apples to keep them from darkening. In my opinion freezing is much easier than canning. This is not needed if canning the peaches or apples. For canning I always bring add a little sugar and bring fruit to a boil .The jars, and jar flats need to be sterilized with boiling water.
