It is Spring down here and as per usual with Mother Nature, lately, she is very confused.We had summer temps a week ago and then back to chilly winter, she threw in a few Spring days too. It is predicted to be a dreadful summer this year. One I am not looking forward to. Temps are getting hotter and hotter and lasting longer each year.
My DD is in Hawaii atm and has had to reschedule a few travel plans due to Hurricane Lowell.

Ive had some issues with the water system in my van.I was really fearing the worst and it being an expensive fix. Luckily it wasn't. Now I am back to having hot water /hot shower again.Just in time for my winter camping trips. Next week I will be going to a BlazeAid Camp to once again volunteer and help rebuild fences. Then after that a road trip visiting some places on my bucket list.

I am still not collecting glass or anything for that matter. I am still making very feeble attempts at downsizing But at least I am not adding anything new to what bits and pieces of my collections I have left. I spend a pair bit of time at the gym each day and go away camping as often as I can. Grandkids are growing up (Teenagers now) so I am not needed for babysitting, as often as I use to be.
We are into Autumn now, the mornings and evenings are cool and the days are perfect. It's extremely dry here and we are in great need of rain. Poor farmers.
Time is getting close for me to head off to a Blaizaid camp and help farmers that have been hit by fires or floods, and help rebuild their fences.If everything goes to plan that will be mid May. I am having a problem with a leak in the plumbing and the hot water system of my van, that needs fixing. Hopefully it won't be an expensive fix. Winters coming on and I would like to be able to have a nice hot shower at the end of the day when away camping. But If it is not fixed by the time I am planning on going to BlaizAid, I will still go and get it done when I get back home. It's just a little luxury I will have to do without.

Just one more day to survive the heat wave we are having and tomorrow's temps are predicted to drop. At 10 a.m this morning it has already reached 39C (102F) When I opened my front door, to go out and sit on my verandah, to enjoy my morning cuppa,the wind made it feel like I was walking into a fan forced oven. I did endure it because I really needed to get some "fresh" air and some daylight rays because the rest of my day will be spent indoors, with all windows and door shut to try to keep out the hot wind and heat . The problem with spending so much time indoors, is I spend too much time on the computer and on FB. FB is very depressing atm. The madness and the hate that gets circulated around, certainly isn't good for anyone's mental health. On some of my FB friends, I have actually been using the "snooze for 30 days" option or blocking them from being able to comment on my Posts. I might just delete some all together .

I had a fabulous Xmas with family and friends at my daughters home. We enjoyed the perfect weather and temps. So very pleasant and not our typical HOT I also had 3 days away camping in my van at a lovely country town, with some friends, where we saw the old year out and the new year in.And again the weather was very kind to us. Beautiful warm sunny days but nowhere near as hot as we usually get. Now it's time to get back to a normal routine, healthy eating and regular exercise..

It's Xmas Eve down here and I am doing all the last minute things required for my contribution to tonight's dinner and tomorrow's lunch. Tonight it's going to be different to previous years. We will be having Nepalese Buff MoMos and chicken MoMos and also Pani Puri. S.I.L will provide fresh seafood and this will all be washed down with a glass or two of champagne while we enjoy the lovely view and sunset in my daughter's backyard. I have chooks(chicken) and lamb for Xmas lunch ,they will be cooked outside on the BBQ.Way too hot to be having the oven inside going. I am also experimenting with a non traditional Quinoa stuffing.I did a taste test and it tastes good.If it was just for me I would make it spicier but I think I have the balance right to please everyone.Fingers crossed it's a success.

Nancy @jerseystar27 diabetes is a terrible thing, especially with circulation of the legs. It certainly does make healing a long and very slow process. Back in my nursing days(lots of years ago) we use to use oxygen therapy. Back then equipment was not advanced like it is today. A plastic bag, tape, an oxygen cylinder, a hose on the cylinder. Put the foot in the plastic bag and one end of the hose in too, close the bag around leg/ankle with tape, attach the other end off the hose to the cylinder and then turn on. It was a simple method and it did work well for foot and lower leg injuries of diabetics that were having issues with healing. I hope DH heals well and is back kayaking asap.
Carl @carma it seems the young ones, these days, love to go all out for their wedding. So much is involved with them now. OMG even the engagement is a massive celebration. Last one I went to I was like.."if this is just the engagement OMG whats the wedding going to be like" And of course things are not cheap these days. $28,000 AUD just for the food at a recent wedding a friend went to. Marson @panishklo I am home , I will only be doing short trips in my van, just weekends away. I have put myself on a budget, I am saving for my adventure to Sri Lanka next year. I may head north next month to do another stint for a week or 2 , helping farmers repair and rebuild damaged fences, after all the flooding they have had. It's all volunteer work I do with a Charity organisation.
We have had some lovely Spring days but today we are back to Winter weather again. Cold and wet. Reports have it, that we are in for a very wet Spring

Today I see sunshine but not for long. We have been experiencing heavy torrential , devastating and flooding rain. So much damage!! I am safe, all I have to put up with is a very wet boggy yard and a damp smelling house. Others have lost everything and lives have been lost too. If you are interested in following whats been happening here, Google Floods in N.S.W. When I get back from my holiday in Thailand, I will volunteer somewhere to help out the farmers who have been heavily impacted by these floods.I can't do anything just now .It's all about rescuing ppl and animals, so those skills are for our trained SES and Helicopter Rescue. Once the floods have receded and the farmers are ready to repair,rebuild and are in need of some helping hands to get the jobs done and a Volunteer camp is set up, I will go. I foresee that being a few months away before volunteer camps are set up.

And yes FB is run by AI/ robots They are programmed to pick upon certain keywords and photos.e.g you might be innocently selling an ornament of a dog..AI can't differentiate between a real dog and an ornament . So you get a message to say you have violated FB rules (that being selling animals) When you get that message you need to keep scrolling down and the reason will be there as well as the option to disagree with their decision

Do you have Respite over there where someone will come and stay with Mike while you do something for yourself. e.g go to the gym, go shopping, hairdressers , meet up for coffee with some friends, just somewhere away from the house for a couple of hours. ?

My cousin had a lot of issues with FB and couldn't use FB anymore. He just started up a new account with a slight alteration of his name. e.g instead of Allan he used Al and I think he changed his date of birth.
