Hi Helen...I think that's what they are...I'm sure when I list them tomorrow, if they're not, I'll quickly be corrected.
as far as Ebay. I applauded them for years. And I still do appreciate having the format available. But with the cost of the store, the listing fees, final value fees and, as they are also with Paypal...some of their fees as well., I finally realized they make quite a cut on our profits. I still like alot about Ebay, but am starting to think they're losing focus on us, and the reality is they work and get paid by us, and I'm starting to see what I've heard the rumbles of for years.Few of us will get rich here, most of us love what we do. I know I do! But at the same time, with the most rare of items turning up as on-line sales have become commonplace, it's clearly more difficult to sell and profit. In the past year I've paid on line fees and costs that have been a pretty nice chunk of my profits...so I'm being more cautious and not being as complacent.
If you don't have a store, you get the first 50 listings free each month. When it sells...then you pay for the final value fee do even if you have the store. For me, unless I plan to start doing hundreds of listings...it is better not to have the store. I'm also using a few other formats that I have just begun. Taking me forever...that old dog new trick saying is kinda true!
(I'll step off my soap box now...lol....)

...Oh! I see some now on Ebay that don't have the starburst...okay...I think that's it. Okay...I'm good.
Thanks to anyone who was trying to look ~ Nina -
Sorry to keep bugging you all...The soups bowls with plates I posted below. I found Duncan and Miller Spiral Flutes in a book, but I don't think that's right.. No starburst on the bottom...clear and smooth, but the bowls are etched. Open to any ideas...Nina still searching

Amber...I'm by far not an expert, but someone on the Glass Board years ago told me to do solid white against glass, and from a slight angle to avoid flash glare. It seems to help. ~ Nina

Helen...That's a beautiful piece! - Nina

Hello everyone...I haven't visited in ages. The Summer has been packed with family and friends visiting. (Love them as I do, I'm peopled out.) I need an island to sit, relax and get my Ebay store together.
Anyway...I bought these over a year ago and just getting around to listing them. I discovered a signature...Anyone recognize it. The picture doesn't do it justice ( I have a set of 6) Beautifully blown glass...very iridescent. I've been trying to find an ID for hours and would appreciate any help. I found similar glass by "Estaban Prieto"...but that's not the signature:I'll stick around for a bit and scroll to catch up.

That's the one! What a pretty dish, really!
Thaks you all...Nina -
I'm telling you Helen...more than once she's come to my rescue...much, much Thanks!

Holy cow Gail! I've looked through every book I had, milkglass or not...googled and searched with evey key word. Gave up...5 minutes later you have it!
I get so irritated with myself that I spend so much time trying to find something like this...but I huess that's how I learn and refresh my memory to stuff.
That's amazing! Thank you Gail - Nina -
Wow! Lots been happening so sorry to hear of what Bill and Sylvia are going through! Praying for the best results... Nina

Hello to everyone! Hope all is well in here. I haven't been in here in ages, but at least I see a few familiar faces.
I would like to pick your brains for an ID on this piece. It's opaque white glass...more opalescent. Definitely not what I see as milkglass. A pattern of open roses with leaves. and beautiful scalloped edges.
The number 176 on the bottom.
Anyone have an idea?
Think I'll scroll a bit ~ Nina

Thank you as well Kelli ~ Nina

Helllooooo In the Glass Room! How is everybody? I'll have to take a quick stroll.
Jeese Fran - Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. Hope you rest and get better to enjoy Spring.
Here on the CT shoreline we've had nothing but 2 little dustings of snow for the whole season! Even after being here in CT for 10 years, I still expect snow like VT.

Holy cow Gail! I'm exhausted thinking about trying to do all of that! ~ Nina

Hi All...Thanks for the ID on the Punch Bowl Set last night. Much appreciated. ~ Nina

I'll be signing off in a bit. Getting close to Masterpiece Theater. Love the second season of Downton Abby.

I do hope so. I was pretty sluggish for a few months. I've been in recovery from Lyme Disease. I was in second stage before I found out...just though I was getting old. Well, still getting old, but for awhile, felt way older...lol. It can knock your socks off, but always grateful to be as healthy as I am. Anyway...while sleeping lots and lots for a bit, my Ebay store was secondary, and as I wasn't listing too much, it was pretty slow. Better since November, but now replenishing my Ebay store with goodies. In the past few days I went to 4 Estate sales. I had a blast! Wish I could keep everything, but that would kinda defeat the purpose.

This one was the first time I had done a storage unit sale. I guess they aren't all like this, so I was told. Every item, no matter what, was $5. EVERYTHING! I was going crazy and actually got there on time. I got 5 boxes of stuff. Incredible items that were store so nicely..CLEAN!!!! I think it was family cleaning out a unit for someone who had passed. Not a regular thing. I am so excited...can't wait to list. I usually don't work on the weekends. But I had to start sorting stuff.
-
Evening everyone...Once again on during the weekend! mark & I went to a huge sale at a storage unit today! I got so much beautiful stuff! It's been a long time since I've found this much stuff at one place...exhilarating! I can't wait to start listing.
I probably should know this pattern, but my brain is frozen. It's just stunning. I was told it was from 1920's or so. Thoughts.
YY!...excited again. Did any of you go through a time you were uninspired then get a good find or a good sale and get re-ignited with your passion for the stuff all over again?
~ Nina -
Hi there George...Thank you. Not even sure if it's vintage. Brilliant yellow...very attractive. Sweet dog in your photo...what type?
~Nina -
Hi there Carl...So that's what you look like! I love seeing these photos on the new chat board! Thank you! Yay!

Think I just found my vase...Is it "pulled Loop"...the rim of the one I have has more pronounced peaks...is that still it?
~ Nina -

Hi there everyone. I'm feeling my Christmas spirit sneaking in...having a hard time concentrating.
Can I pick your brains?
I know this is carnival glass...Is it drapery pattern? 3-part mold.
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa186/madferu/018.jpgAnd this one...I'm lost...Viking maybe?
http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa186/madferu/020.jpgHope everyone had the best of Thanksgivings. I'm still in battle with Lyme disease. Just finished 60 days of antibiotics. Still feel in s-l-o-w motion, but there could be much, much worse things.
~Nina -
Okay...I'm in...finally YAY!!!
My spam folder had caught my confirmation some time earlier. I had registered, but never confirmed.
I don't visit the chat rooms often, but find the knowledge and expertise that you all have priceless. And comforting when I finally give up researching something with no luck. Glad to be here. ~ Nina -
