• Good Morning Folks! Absolutely beautiful day today. I really enjoy seeing all your beautiful glass. That smoke bell is stunning.
@carma Are the leaves starting to turn at all up your way. I've got two friends coming in next week. (Frances - Purplesnoangel on ebay, and Holly -ecclecticollector on ebay) We are headed up and down the coast shopping for treasures. I'm going to take them to Orphan Annies warehouse in Auburn on Monday. Might be too early for leaf peeping though.

  • Evening peeps. I've been reading all day, learning a lot. I just realized that I forgot to pop in and say hello.

@carl I didn't realize that you and I are neighbors. I'm down in the Portland area. Small world.

  • @songbreeze The H is part of my name: Donnah. Story goes that my mother wanted to name me Yvonne, my father wanted to name me Donna. But he had a prior girlfriend named Donna and my mother fought against the name. So they compromised and decided to spell it differently. Still, whenever she would get angry with my father, she would refer to me as "MY darling daughter Yvonne". LOL

  • @songbreeze OK, I've added the avatar I used on ebay forever. I just realized that I changed it recently, but hopefully it will help some peeps recognize me.

  • Good Morning!
I'm still getting used to scrolling through the messages. I'm enjoying reading and seeing all the beautiful glass. Still need to pick an avatar. I see most people use photos of themselves. I have showdogs, so most photos I have of me are looking down at a dog. If anyone is having trouble placing me, when I post on the ebay board my username is MainelyGlass and my avatar there is a Gordon Setter on the rocks in front of a lighthouse.

  • Good Morning. Gee, I join the board yesterday and everyone starts posting ages. I think I'm the baby here (so far) at a mere 51 (for a couple more months). I started collecting AH Forest Green when I inherited some glassware from my granny. I then moved on to Ruby. Now that I have cabinets full of that stuff, I'm looking for a new collection to start. Every time I get something really cool for resale, I think "hmm, maybe I'll collect this" I could just collect it all. My DH collects pre-1900s bottles and flasks from New England and PA glass houses.

  • Good Morning. I just joined this group today after Fran told me about it weeks ago. I debated whether or not I "needed" another chat group. But after lurking a while, I'm happy to be here. I will probably still lurk a lot. I've only been buying/selling glass for about 12 or 13 years, so I've got a lot to learn from you guys.

Scott, I'm drooling over your shaker photos. I picked up a hundred or so from the Jones Museum auction, but none as nice as yours. I think the really rare ones went to a better auction house. I've sold some, but now wish I had kept them all and started my own collection.
