Speaking of early spring, I'm pretty sure this is the first time EVER we've harvested anything from the garden in March. We haven't even thought about planting yet, but the perennial green onion shoots are up about 6"-7". So I clipped off a few, chopped them up and put them in a pan of chicken and gravy. Throw in a handful of peas and pour it over a pile of mashed potatoes, and you're all set.
