Carma--DVD not Blueray? Blueray will make a big difference with a 48" TV, and you can get a Sony Blueray for well under $100 now. I love my Sony Bravia. 32" is about all I need here in the bedroom, but I wouldn't mind a 48". Hopefully it should last as long as my last Sony TV, which was over 20 years, and that was a display model when I bought it.
