Carma--I've never had much back trouble, but that planting does get rough. We put in 8 12ft rows of carrots, and trying to drop a seed every half inch for that distance gets old pretty fast. Ours is all in. Tomatoes, peppers, beans, cucumbers, pumpkins, snap peas, "regular" peas, carrots, and lettuce. Pea plants are about a foot high and some of the tomatoes have blossoms. Probably about 5 weeks til the first tomato.
