Gail: I've been feeding ferals for about a year. They come and go, you get kind of attached and then you don't see them again. I was feeding Fred and he showed up with 3 kittens. One got hit in the road and we didn't see Fred again, must have got hit too. I was feeding the 2 orphans, couldn't get near them. The dog got one, felt terrible, but you have no control. I fed the last little black one, through below 0, she was dragging one leg for a couple of weeks. She was a survivor. She decided she liked me. Got her to a rabies clinic, wasn't going to put her back outside. Got her spayed, not 6 months old, she was already pregnant. Weighed 5 pounds. Now she is the queen of the house and a pain in the butt. All starts from people just dumping their cats. Lot's of people just don't look, but there has to be animal lovers to save some of them. I'm feeding a pregnant cat now, can't get anywhere near her, but she eats twice a day. Best I can do. gailmac
