@mainewildrose Sue that seller is quoting TomB(without giving credit) as to how the bowls were made. It looks to me like yours are staind not an applied ribbon of glass. To make theirs a punty rod would have been attached and likely the hobbs were ground off. Tom shows both bottoms on page 91 of their Hobbs book. I would not worry.
