@suzy: Two things I would suggest in your ongoing quest to identify your item.
1. go to the web page http://www.glassclub.org/index.htm
2. contact Jeff Evans http://www.jeffreysevans.com/ or his site. He may know of some avenues to research..
Both sites give you an opportunity to contact them with ID questions and you can take it from there.
Good Luck. If you cant get help, I can go to specific people who are especially trained as curators of museums and are accessible.
I'm not saying that it is a museum piece,but it intrigues me, especially because I have not seen it in my travels.
3. I know that I said two, but .. Don't sell it until you identify it.
