DIANE - I would buy it! , especially if that $7.99 is your asking price. BUT I too think it could be something special. Hard to tell how fine the metal casting is from the pics. Brass? or something gilded or with a patina finish? Are the designs fauna or fossils? or??
Maybe HELEN/BBG/BEADS will come over and give some input.

It reminds me of the light I found for my Mom's dining room. Nothing, literally no part of it, was what she normally liked but in that case all those parts just "fit" and she has had tons of compliments on it.
