@itsagas: I'd love to be able to do that too & have considered it. But, there's only one lawn maintenence company in the area, in Rumford, 15 miles away. We called them once to see how much it would cost. They will come out here, but wanted $50. per week and that was when gas was around $1.75-$2.00 a gallon. I'm sure they would want considerably more than that now. One season at those rates would equal close to what the new tractor cost. So, I figure the first season just about pays for the tractor & all the rest of the years I get out of it are gravy. I've got about an acre of lawn & it only takes me about 2 hours on average.
