JERSEYSTAR - Please bear with me. Am just learning.
You said "Marty, of course they glow under a blacklight, they’re vaseline glass (opalescent vaseline to be exact)." Monday, Mar 19, 2012, 9:35amI thought Uranium made glass glow. The Imperial candle sticks that MARTY has are yellow, according to him, though they look green under the BL. He did not show a pic of them under regular light. They did look a little 'vaseliney' to me but what do I know.
Does all Vaseline glow under BL? Can other glass glow under BL yet NOT
be Vaseline? What other minerals can be put in glass to make it glow? I know that a lot of minerals fluoresce. Did they put them in to make it glow on purpose, or was it incidental to getting the right glass color?Thought I had figured some of this out from reading, but guess not! LOL Boy I do not envy you guys who sell glass for a living.
