Hi everyone - Just popping in to let you all know that I am alive. The Monitor finally went end of Feb. The fist banging had stopped helping so I went the Khrushchev route......banging it with my shoe. One time when I felt particularly agile I kicked it with my foot. LOL
Slowly I unearthed the area on and around the old monitor and determined that if I did not have to lift the monitor...just grasp it and hold it without bending or twisting...I could move it a few feet. That chore took about a week or so but finally got it done. Replaced with an old, but refurbished CRT type 14 inch Acer that one of my trail riders brought me last year. He will take my old one and see if he can fix it's loose connections or whatevers.
However, cleaning and moving the monitors triggered a nasty muscle spasm in neck/ shoulder/ back junction area...so no typing for me. Did read boards a bit but mostly zoned on muscle relaxants rotated heat packs and tried to not trigger a fresh spaz attack. In desperation I went to the new chiropractor, up here, on Saturday. Do not like to go to new chiros as most are too hard and throw me out rather than help. She may have put a little something out but did help the spasm area. That left me feeling, not only like a limp dish rag, but a limp dish rag that was run over by a truck. lol Those who go to chiropractors may know that feeling well.
Did not wake up till NOON!! on Monday, Ten on Tuesday and today at 7:30, so looks like I am getting back to more normal wake time.Just yesterday I had a flash of 'kind of normal'. Did not feel arm nerves grab me as much when I was feeding. Walking was a bit better...like more of a normal rhythm.
Oh yeah, during that time my foot dropped (from the nerve issues in the back)causing me to slide on ice and took me down. Kind of slow motion twisted, torked and jammed the joint then landed on knee, and pulled the muscles that go from knee up front of thighs ( quads?). Not wanting to be left out the other leg joined the slipped one and I ended up sort of sitting with legs under me and sideways a bit. Determined that nothing broke and was sore, but functional, so continued feeding and when I got to house lathered them up all with horse medicine (DMSO) which kept swelling almost nonexistent. They are just about back to normal.
It was nice to have and injury act normal. Hurt at first, then hurt a bit more the next day or so, then progress to feeling better each day and heal....unlike nerve injury that just keeps hurting forever.Anyway ... Just letting you all know that I am OK.
Now playing catch-up on the catch-up stuff that I was already catching-up on previously. Totally clear right?
