Definitely Aseda on that vase, Nina - I have 2 of the blue ones, a green one, and a red one in the back bedroom window. Love colored glass in the windows!
@wattleihavenext - Julie, I emailed the person in charge of that neat site you gave me a link to a couple months ago, on the Portieux sugar? http://opaline.defoire.pagesperso-orange.fr/opale/articles/artable.html
I also sent him pics of our yellow ones, in case he wanted an example for his records and notes. He sent me the nicest email back!"Hello,
and thanks you so much for your appreciations on my web site and for your photos.
Your item is not a milk glass but it's much better ! It 's made in ouraline (with oxyde d'uranium), we says too : verre d'urane but in Portieux'catalogs this type of glass is calling "dichroïde or dychroïde" .
Your sugar cup "Renaissance" by Portieux (about 1920) is rare in ouraline (verre d'urane) and it is really so nice. Please sorry for my bad english.
Kind regards.
Richard Duboucarré"
Thought you'd get a kick out of that. 🙂 Thanks again for the great site!
