HAPPY BELATED BIRtHDAYS to JULIE, KATIE, & DON.. I pray it was a relaxing one.. and hope no one forgot you.. Seems thats the way it goes sometimes, when we get older and the young so busy iin their own lives.. Every once in awhile, (not often enough) but appreciated Grandson stopped by sometimes an after thought I am sure, but always so good to see him.. Last time he stopped by he brought his Fiancé with him.. They have been together about 4 yrs and wedding planned for next year..

CARL Good to see you checked in.. I can well imagine with that large garden you have been taking advantage of good weather.. and OH MY, Grand daughter getting married and bought a new home in Pa.. Not so close to us here, in ERie, Pa.. but at least their winters will not be so bad. Enjoy your harvesting this year.. Do you still plan on Canning? I finally gave up doing that..

HI ALL,, OH, I need to start getting rid of things, but I would probably replace it with some more treasures, I do not need.. I took a bunch of jewelry to a Shop that buys Gold and I got over 1000.00 for it, Probably should have taken it somewhere else, because I am sure they did not cheat themselves.. I went to a local Flea Market last weekend, Just one day sale, only made about 120.00 and it was so much work..

I wrote to Reen, a couple weeks ago.. She said Gil finally lost his battle, he passed, In Feb. I believe she said, not sure what she is going to do yet She was having someone from Church helping her with details.. I guess Gil probably always took care of the bills.. With me I have always taken care of the bills and taxes, so without me.,. Terry would have to seek help too..

NANCY, Yes I saw that on the news where a Young fella had been burning pallets and left the fire before it was out.. I do not think they would calll that Arson, if it was an accident, but who knows. Darned shame so much of th4e area burned off.. But they did catch him,

Hello ALL, Well time is fleeting, I am so fortunate in so many ways, and Pray you are all doing well..
Spring is on its way, ever so slow, but will take what we can get.. Lilacs are finally starting to bud out, Daffies & Tulips alive and well in the flower gardem. Fearing many of the new plants I put in last year did not survive the frigid winter we had.. Forsythias are also blooming, bright yellow..Had our lawn mowed yesterday for the first time this season.. Need some repaired due to snow removal we had in the drive way.. The guy knows what needs done, Just really busy right now..We had a Torrential rain the other day, what I imagine a Monsoon would look like, Came down just as I was putting the groceries in the car and lasted until I got home, to unload.. then the sun came out the rest of afternoon.. Terry said it came out of the NW.. Has warmed up since..

KATIE, how nice that you got to travel to the Military Cemetery.. was never to the one in Ga. My first born son was born at Camp Gordon base, now Fort Gordon, Ga. When he was old enough he enlisted and spent 20 yrs in the Army Stationed at Fort Bragg, then to Germany. Always taking his family with him. . .

NANCY P. So sorry to hear about your wild fires,, I did not hear what caused it, if they have found out yet.. Careless Campers, maybe.. It just not seem like NJ was hot enough to warrant grass fires that have sonsumed so many acres now.. Prayiing for rain to help put it out.. and that you and your family are safe..

Talked to my deceased sons, Friend the other day, he had been up to Canada with his Son & wife, to visit with his Mom who just had her 100th BD.. Canada living must agree with her..

Hi NANCY, So glad to hear Forsythia is feeling the warmth in the air, Just not enough of it yet.. Ours is still dormant, but I do see the Lilac Bush leafing out, but still possible snow forecast. Not likeing that, The Weatherman says this should be our last week of frigid weather and then forecast a warm up.. Surely looking forward to that.. Take care.

Hello ALL, would you believe I am just now, this week. etting so I can walk without the walker.. I have seen the Doc and now referred to Physical Therapy.. which all has helped.. but my energy is so low, its hard for me to get anything done or even to walk much. I had not driven in over 2 months, but now driving myself to Therapy.. It was Crystals in my ears. that needed to be encouraged to go back in my ear where they belong.. Not sure what they are good for, but maybe Balance.. Besides strengthening my lets its helping my balance.. Which I thoroughly need, due to I feel like a Drunken Sailor when I walk.. I stagger at times..

Just checked into the Pottery Board and see Katies post to me, about Mike.. So sorry to hear that happening to her, but for his sake, he can finally rest and can just watch over her.. I can truly imagine, what she is going though. She has achieved more than I have.. I still have Sons bedroom as it was, went through some of his things, and sold many of his tools, of which I had no attachment.. Sold his truck..Those are all impersonal things,

NK JULIE, I wonder how many times you relive losing Gordon, Every time, someone you know is going through the same thing, I would suppose..Hopefully now its just loving throughs. Many of us can relate..

HI MARSON, hopfully winter is now about over for you.. and you can get things done that did not get completed last year.. Its 35* here today, the other day it was near 70* , So up and down.. We cannot shovel any more either.. Luckily our Mail Carrer is putting our mail inside the storm door so we do not have to walk across the road.. I have given her some cash and gift cards.. We sure do appreciate it..

HI NANCY Snow should be just about over for you.. But heard of a lot of gusty winds and snow have traveled to the East Coast that by passed us.. Sorry.. That is one good thing about being retired, no more getting up to clean off the car to get to work on time.. Enjoy the covimg Spring..

KATIE So sorry to hear about Mike, So glad your sons are near and can give you the support you need.. Yes Hospice is a God Send, but while they were here attending my Son, unless they were bathing him, I stayed in the room all the time, just so I could answer their questions as Sons mind was not as sharp as when he was well, AND I learned a lot, of tips along the way.. He got so bad, falling out of bed etc. thay they finally advised a Nursing home.. Which I went along with because I thought they would see to it he did not fall out of bed.. WRONG.. They do not allow Bars on the bed anymore.. He fell out of bed there several times, broke my heart.,. Maybe othe states are different, but GD who is a nurse in Florida, confirmed it.. Stay Strong, Try to keep a clear head.. Many ((( HUGS))).

HI NANCY, We sure got a lot of snow up North here, but not as Much as Buffalo, NY. Lucky us huh?
But its been snowing almost every day for the last several weeks..
Hi, JULIE, My heart goes out to you, I am sure you still miss Gordon, as I know I always will think, and miss my Son. Not a day goes by without my thinking back to his life, and love..Of course I have his ashes here, so thats a reminder..
MARSON, I can relate, our weather here has been really Cold as well, down to -3 the other night, low teens the rest of the time, suppose to warm up tomorrow to 30* we shall see.. We cannot shovel anymore, so waiting for God to see fit to take it away..

FRAN, Your so right, Hospice, furnished son with Walker, Portable Commode, but they had to put a catheter in..Even offered a Hospital bed, but could not make room for that..Without getting rid of my new bedroom set. They told me when he passed the items were mine to do with whatever..

Well I have been pretty much idle for the last two weeks,
DIZZY, Not sure why.. I tried to call Doc again today and they were closed, not sure why.. I think I need a cat scan on my heard.. The last time I was out was the 7th.. Got dizzy that night when going to bed, and now its every day, but not consistant.. Need to do something, DH will not allow me to got upstairs, so sleeping in recliner.. I am ok, just setting still, but if I bend over or Try to get up everything just keeps swirling around, I feel like I am going to fall out of the recliner, So Dannys Walker has come in handy..

Well going to get outa here and go relax ini recliner, You all have a great New Year and Hope things go smoothly, as can be. And if anyone offered help, take it.. We are not getting any younger.. BUMMER!

I have been going through that Web site, DIANE has posted about, REAL OR FAKES. I clicked on her name and it came up.. like 30 pages of real & fakes.. From numerous web sites its quite interesting/ Saved it as it is time consuming; but very interesting.. Going to check some things I have..

Not sure but thats the only thing I might be, being punished for.. Oh Well.. If they would have told me for sure, I could change that, Odd they do not give out reasons.. Son says Humans do not run that show, but robots, so I am not sure.. When ever I wrote to them, they never responded.. Oh Well I am doing fine without them, but I did get a lot of help identifying things when I was on there.. I am thankful for that.. Take care all..

I suppose if you watched the news you heard all about Our Thanksgiving weekend Blizzard and 5 feet of snow we got here in Erie, Erie County, Pa. We did not go out of the house for about 8 days, as we could not even get out our Front door, with at least 4 feet in front of it.. the back yard door was also impossible to get out.. Finally God saw fit to give us warmer temps and most of it melted, Friends did plow out our driveway but nothing they could do with the bucket to clear our cars or the door way out..
But we survived and had plenty to eat.. So no great hardship..
I pray you all had a great Thanksgiving, and a Merry Christmas as well..

Hello Every one, Well we two had a very quiet Thanksgiving, Ate & Watch TV programs.. It was a wet Thursday, but nothing to worry about until we got up Friday Morning.. and we have not been out of the house since.. Need a few things but if anyone watched the National News you probably saw how our town, Erie Pa. had more snow then we had all of last year.. and it still out there.. We did have a friend that came and plowed out our driveway but cars are still buried.. I am guess we got close to 5 feet of snow over a 3 day period.. and More coming tonight and tomorrow.. Suppose to warm up next week to the 40s & 50s, so we will probably have some flooding around town when this all starts melting, as its suppose to rain every day next week.. Good Grief, but nothing as bad as some area have had it in other states.. We have Gravel ground so much on our land will all soak in..

Glad that Everyone else had a nice peaceful THanksgiving.. Sounds like we all had plenty to eat..

CARL glad you checked in, Sounds like you had a quiet pleasant Thanksgiving, and NANCY how nice your family all got together.. KATIE So sorry Mike has a few questionable symptoms, hopefully they are not permanent and he will improve, with your care. Oh read your post again, You say he is improving. That was good to read.. Pray it continues. . I can agree with you on home conditions, if anything happened to Terry or Me, this house is not ready for the market either.. I know I need to start selling some of my collections, but where to start, what goes first. OR I will just let someone come in and do an estate sale..
JULIE I am sure you celebrate Christmas, So hopefully that will up your spirits a little and You surely will enjoy Christmas with your family..

WE ordered a new recliner for DH, Suppose to deliver it Monday.. But we are going to cancel it until this all clears out.. His recliner quit working, with the remote, He had to crawl out of it.. LOL

We are in the mist of a Snow Blizzard, and know it headed up North East to Maine.. So any in the path will more or less going to get it.. We have about 6" now, by tomorrow we are likely to have the 10" they are predicting.. This is our first snow fall, Hope it is not forecasting how the rest of the Winter is going to be..

Well JULIE winter is fast approaching here, no snow yet, but we know its coming.. We have had unseasonably warm days the past week or so, but the temps are quickly falling as the leaves are as well. its 42* F today..another 10 Degrees and it will surely snow.. How nice you got away.. isna't it nice not to have to answer robicalls, or don't you get those down there? Boy we were all unindated with them during the elections, now they are over we keep getting Medicare calls.. Glad I have call blocking.. I just got a new phone again, and am just learning how to operate it.. So sorry to hear of Kelli's Jerry passing away, they made a good compatible couple.. I am sure she misses him, all the time, but especially when they were out treasure hunting together..

HI KATIE, Good Seeing you here too.. So sorry to hear about Mike declining.. Do you have a Senior Citizen Group to advise you on help available.. or Advice? Is he getting Hospice care yet.. or are you doing it all.. I had finally called them for my son when, I thought it would be helpful.. and They were..
I know I hated doing that too, but thought they may be able to help where I cannot benefit him.. They furnished all his needs.. at no cost. One of the local hospitals offered their Hospice care, and I was greatful.

NANCY, I hope you were not near any of those Fires in NJ, i guess NY was busy, trying to put them out.. and Hard to even imagine the fires in Calif.. All those people without homes now, How sad and Tragic, for so many other, in the paths of Floods, Fires, Tornados, & Hurricanes.. I am again Thanking the Lord and My Family for borning me here in Pa.. where we might get 3 or 4 feet of snow, but it soon melts and goes away.. Nothing like others are experiencing..

HI NANCY, Thank you for your condolences, Sounds like you raised a nice thoughtful young man.. I admire those that make time for others less fortunate.. I hope the weather was good there, It was beautiful here, but Chilly.. Not even sure what the temp was I did not go out.. For the last week the weather man has said we were going to get rain, and we still have not gotten any.. We sure could use it, as so many others experiencing fires do as well. I hope you enjoy the excitement your son and friend were having.. Did you take a book along to read or did you go shopping.. Not sure how long the race took..

JULIE my son set up a new account for me but whatever I got kicked off before with, I must have done again.. Gosh wish they would tell us.. but actually as much as I liked being able to converse with my family on their and finding out information on Jewelry and Glass / Pottery, I have been getting by without it.. I know my name is still on FB, but they will not allow my password anymore.. so the web site is stagnant.. But Thanks for Writing, I think of the Chat Boards often, but the Pottery Peeps, just sort of do not come around anymore.. Sad.. We truly have lost so many of our old Ebay Friends, I just clicked into my Favorites and came across Kelly's Ebay page, She and Jerry are still finding Treasures and still selling. She gets some good prices too.. I think its great they are a Team..

Would be nice to have a Heads Up.. every one says they see stuff on there that should never be allowed, but they could not figure out what I was doing wrong? Oh well..

Hello ALL, well I am so glad to see the Glass Board is active and still a few of the Oldies still here.. Yes the last time I posted was just after my son passed away.. the following month my Brother in NC passed away.. Thankfully his son was driving down there from Ohio and I went to be with him, so we drove down together in his vehicle and stayed for the funeral. It was good being there with my SIL and her family.. we only stayed a few days, came home then I got sick.. Cannot remember when I was ever sicker.. Even went to the hospital because for 4 days I kept barfing up every thing I took, including meds.. They checked me over and sad they thought it was just a bladder infection.. I have had those before and was never that sick before.. I was inclined to believe it was my inner ear.. Si suffered through another 2 weeks of being sick, and finally my hearing got better, and I was able to eat, mostly soups.. I was wishing for death myself at that time.. Mom Always said, " This Too Shall Pass." and it did..
So all toll besides being sick and two of my dearest fam. members I am nearly normal..

So Sorry to hear about Gail, she was a wonderful lady.. Always wish she had moved to where her families were living. I worried about her so during Tornados.. She was a Class Act, as they say.. God Bless Her.

HI CARL, we also had a light snow this winter, not sure what Spring will bring, but surely another snow storm before winter is over.. All we have had was Rain the past week, most of our Spring flowers are blooming.. the Lilac trees all leafing out, and the Forsthias looking good. Oh we did have a light snowfall over night, but this morning it was gone..

HI KATIE, Pray you and Mike are doing well.. I Grandson who moved back home rented a Subaru, It made his trips home from South Dakota OK, but has since bought some property and returned the Subaru to buy a Nice Truck which will be more useful out in the country then the car..

JULIE, Glad you got to enjoy the Sunshine and The Kids in the Water.. Too cold here for that now.. if we get to 60* - 65* we are happy.. I have heard we will have a Mild Winter, I am hoping that is true.. Take care..

NANCY, We too have had our share of rain, seems like 4 days out of the week, we are getting rained on.. Went for a Perm the other day and Yep it was raining.. Sun came out so made it home before it started again.. I think our Pottery board has just about petered out.. and when it was active, seemed like Katie and I the only ones left..

Thanks Julie.. Glad your weather is more normal for now.. Ours is cooling off, and rained so hard today.. Luckily I was in the car when it rained today, like a tourantial rain fall.. Could hardly see the dividing lines on the road.. and by the time I finished shopping it had stopped, so got home and unloaded before it started again..

Friends of my sons, had a benefit for him today with all the food you could eat and so good seeing some of his child hood friends who came, and I did not recognize 2 of them.. It was a wonderful showing of his friends and how much they think of him.. Broke my heart for the reason that it was for. I broke down a couple of times, but held it together pretty good, not too many saw that except for the ones that were holding me at the time, I think they might have noticed..

So any prayers are welcome..

HI NANCY, & JULIE, Well we too have had some unusual weather for Oct. I wonder if this is Indian Summer or if its too early for that.. it has been in the 80s for the last 3 days but suppose to get down to the 50s from tomorrow on through the weekend, then to warm up again, but do not expect much above 70*.. Hard to say the way the weather patterns have been going.

Too nice to stay in, but no where to go.. Tho last Sunday my two Brothers, SIL and myself went out to OUR Sisters & BIL, to visit before they head for Florida for the winter.. She is on Oxygen and seldom goes out of the house, Not sure she is up to driving that far to Fl. but better then the alternative and having to deal with Snow.. BIL is going to be 80 next month and sister just 73. they have been married 52 yrs, so I guess its Death til they part.. But Nothing else exciting going on..

NANCY, It is cooler here too, I am not sure I like it' but at least the AC is turned off and I am not freezing in the house.. a light jacket when I go out is sufficient. Its suppose to warm up this week.. Thankfully.. No rain to speak of.. it rained about an hour the other day..

JULIE, Oh goodness, Egypt sounds so interesting, and doable.. its mostly flat land there right? lol If you go I know you will enjoy it.. Wish I was younger and able to travel more.. Too unsteady on my feet.. Haven't fallen over YET, but one day it might happen..

We have a wedding to go to in October but its about a 6 hr drive and Hubby does not like to travel anymore so doubting we will go.. Its his niece, so if he does not want to go, thats his choice.. AND, thats ok.. Enjoy your weather.. our Fall is creeping up.. Our Propane tanks are full so we are ready for it..

Don't you often wonder what happened to all our Old Deceased Members Collections and what happened to them.. I too was concerned about JIML.. We might not hear from him until a bad snow storm in Buffalo.NY. but it would be nice to hear sooner..

I remember Betty's Collection of Milk Glass, and she had many CAD.. With only a son who survived, I often wonder if he left her Blue Dining room, with the White MG as she had it arranged.. He husband George had passed on before she did..

Oh CARL, I can imagine how you felt like almost all of your hard work planting was for naught.. but hopefully what you tomatoes you had were tasty.. My friends cucumbers did not do much either, Tomatoes were so so; but not as plentiful as usual.. Hopefully there is next year to look forward to..

HI NANCY, Seems like you have been doing your share of traveling.. I love to travel but DH could care less anymore, I have a hard time to get him our of our home town.. He likes to do all his shopping here locally.. I envy you being able to travel.. But I have a hard time with flying, for numerous reasons, my Ears for one.. and the walking is another.. I stagger somewhat.. not sure why, often think I might be getting MS, but surely it would have been more dominant by now, if it was.. Take care and enjoy while you can.

JULIE, are you all caught up with your Yard work now? cannot imagine how much it costs to travel like you like to. but thats good that you can.. Now we are not sure what happened to SUSAN.. Called her house number, no answer just answering machine, and sent email, still nothing.. Last we heard from her she posted she was in the hospital, diagnose with Cirrhosis, Told her to check her water if she had well water, and surely she does not drink much. So not sure how she would have gotten it or whats happening with her.. So Praying she is OK..

CARL, Great to hear the girls will be coming home for a break to visit.. I just saw two Great Nephews at a family get together, hard to believe they have graduated, and one in his 3rd yr of Medical School.. I bet you find it hard to believe as well.. Smoke getting any better up there, have not heard much about the fires, but I imagine they are still burning.. We had a whopping fierce storm the other night and was thinking why aren't those fires getting some of this.. The Gardens around here are doing pretty good, I guess enough rain, that nothing has dried up.. Radishes, believe it or not are high here at the stores.. Haven't stopped at a farmers stand to see what they are selling them for if it was even worth their time planting.. but for a small bunch with leaves still on them, was 3.50..

Have been following JULIES pictures on FB, such an array of scenery pictures and the group.. I bet she will be ready for a rest when she gets home.. No matter how much she is enjoying it now..

Hi Everyone, well company is gone for this month, next month another son comes home.. So wish they could have both been home at the same time, but ones wife had to have Cataract Surgery.. Yes believe it or not I have a son that old.. LOL Gosh they are all getting old.. Luckily I am still her to enjoy their company.. I am so lucky to have 4 such wonderful Sons..

JULIE You must be pretty close to leaving on your exotic excursion? How many more days, can't be more then a couple.. Bet you find it hard to sleep, your getting so excited. KATIE, Sounds like you are on a similar diet as my Son who lives with us.. Besides his Cancer his has for years been battling Arthritis, the Docs says he has Both kinds of Uncle Art.. thus why he suffers so with swellings and pain.. He is now trying to be as Gluten Free as possible, sticking with seafoods or chicken, and Glu Free Bread.. and more Salads.. Been working pretty well for him. Hope for you too.. Best of Luck for Mike with all future tests..

CARL, We have had much smoke this past week, I thought it fog, It was only out over the Lake and up South of us, Coming in from Canada.. We had about 2 good days of rain, but otherwise Weather has been fairly decent.. Thankfully, Sunshined all last weekend, with Families in from Md. for Fam. Reunion, when it was predicted to rain all weekend, Waited until they left started on Monday.. The Grape crops around seem to be flourishing, not sure on the other crops, except for Corn our neighboring Farmer grows in stages, so he has corn to sell pretty much all of July, Aug. into Sept. once it comes in. Hope the crops you do have that survive, do well.. Might cramp your Canning a little this year..

Wonderful day of Saleing yesterday, got a set of 8 red King Crown Small glasses, I suppose wine, juice or Liquor glasses, the brand that is under glass, so perfect condition. Also a glass 8*" Bowl where the underside is Red & Gold, with some of the pain missing, would it be a No No to try and repaint the Gold & Red in places? Been out of glass so long forgetting some of the names.

Surely the only answer is surgery, but at my age, I am not doing it.. You take care, Glad to see you.. Yep turn back the clocks.. They were talking at least here, about having these DLS hours the same all year, not sure how that will work. AND not sure if it was just our State, or all over..

Hi ALL, just thought I would stop by and see how you are all doing, with surviving the weather patterns.. sure is crazy for us here in states, not sure if JULIE, has anything happening out of the ordinary.. Sounds more like CARL is in Alaska or Canada, We have not had enough snow, to make us dread the next day.. but it has been off and on. One day its 50* even up to 60* I think once it got up to the 70's what the hecks going on.. Use to always think that someday our Winters will be hot and Summers will be Cold.. I am still not convinced, it won't be. Just weird..

Happy to hear KATIE and MIKE are back on the mend. Not like they did not have enough to deal with, So now you are both up and attem huh? Nice your son stops by to check on you..

I had that Covid, it was strange, I never ran a fever.. but I was just tired. and didn't feel like I could navigate. So spent the most days in bed for about 2 weeks.. No one else got it here tho, so luckily I stayed in my bedroom and they fended for themselves..

I was going through some pictures today and ran across one I wanted to Post for Mike (MIKEY).. He is probably busy with Taxe by now.. But I will post this when he wants to check back when he is relaxing he might see it.. It is a Post card from 1911, when the Niagara Falls was frozen over.. Maybe they had cut the power off at that time, not sure, maybe they let kids back then ice skate on the River without worrying about going over.. LOL Probably not.. So Mike if I can figure out how to post a picture here.. Here it is ! I use to be able to post pictures here, but no way can I understand what they got going on there now.. Bummer.

When I got kicked off of FB my son set up a new account for me, had to use different information to get back on, which he fixed for me and gave me the date of my Dads BD.. Sorry for the confusion.. Never did find out what they kicked me off for.. I never said a Negative word about anyone/thing except the Government.. and who hasn't.. So I felt the need to keep up with my family on FB, easier then emails, and the USPS.. But the thoughts are all appreciated..

JULIE, you are probably enjoying a slight warm up, Lucky you, we will have to wait it out here in the cold for another 3 or 4 months.. for spring to arrive.. tho the weather was a warm 52* yesterday when I went out with my friends we surely enjoyed that warm breeze..

JIM, I just had to chime in on your statement that the Falls Never froze, I have an old Black & White Post Card somewhere, where it showed the Falls Frozen.. On the Canadian side anyhow.. It was not a joke care either.. But it sure is horrible what this years winter had brought to your area.. We were so lucky thus far, Most of the snow that passed through had a strong wind behind it and blew it right through, to NY..along the lake.. So many deaths, hard to tell how many more will be found even in their homes, if they could not pay their Electric/Gas bills.. So sad!

We are doing fine here, Our Hot Water froze in our small downstairs bathroom we just had built this fall.. Not happy with that, but happy the pipes did not break, we kept the cold water dripping so it did not freeze.. It thawed with the temps rose a little above freezing.. Have to contract the builder to see what he can do about preventing the freezing from happening again.. Time will tell..

So again Every one, I hope you have a fun night tonight ringing in the New Year.. call in a few friends who are setting home alone or family, play some games, start a new tradition.. I am going to my sons today to play games or cards, not sure maybe Dominoes..

CARL, Do not envy you with that storm, we had a lot of wind, but not much snow, while it was snowing and blowing it all blew right through I think on its way to Buffalo, NY.. I liked your Santa Claws, Tho I do not like Lobster, or most other Fish either..

JULIE I am glad someone is having warmer weather, Even Florida where it is normally warm was down near freezing in some places.. Our daughter called from JacksonVille F. and she said it was close to Freezing temps.. They were worried about pipes freezing.

JIM Glad you did not lose power, we didn't here either.. but they flickered a few times.. Just its taking forever to keep this house warm with the winds blowing through..

NANCY, its probably pretty cold in Va, too isn't it? I know in DC its cold.. How nice you got to go visit and did not have to stay home and cook.. Enjoy the get away..

Terry bought me a new Remote Control Starter for my BD, and had it installed.. I am sure I will appreciate that...more then I already do.. I did not want him to spend all that money, but I know I will love it on these cold days.. and in the Hot summer too.. Wonder how much gas I will waste warming it up?

The weather outside is frightful, Strong winds blowing in from the West sure to bring snow by nightfall.. My friend and I were going to go shopping today at the MALL.. Today is the last day for my 40% off coupon for JC Penneys, looks like my loss.. Not anything I really need, but I might have found something.. Like an Ugly Christmas Sweater.. Should be on sale anyhow.. lol
But due to weather I copped out.. She lives about 3 miles from me up on a hill, so she says its icy up there.. Ya know, higher elevation.. She puts her car away for the winter, because she doesn't drive in snow, let alone ice. Better we stay home..

My Great Grandsons BD is today also, he was born 11 yrs ago.. My Youngest GG I have a Few GGGs He lives in Fl. haven't seen him since he was 4. He sure is growing fast. I need to get a card out for him.. I procrastinate a lot.. Is that an old age thing?

Hi JULIE, I hear you, Not sure what I did or said, but all my friends tell me its them, not me.. They never saw me say anything detrimental that I should have been kicked off. But oh well it was done and now near a year ago.. So be it.. I am back on as Shelly Lutz, I am feeling much better, no A-1 yet, but getting their, DH is not feeling so hot either but its different then what I have had.. Hopefully he is going to recover also.. Thanks for explaining some of what goes on in FB.. Crazy.. I have noticed so many scammers, on there.. really boring, why people bother is beyond me, not like I am falling for any of it..

Our weather here is just plain cold.. We had one bad storm, left us with 4Ft. of snow, but thats gone, but its early and plenty more on its way.. Its not over til Probably Mid March, if then. Yes I have gotten onto a few groups on FB, but not too much tho I need to get busy and get active.. Right now down with Bronchitis or Pneumonia, they did not put a name on it, but has kept me down and No appetite, which is shredding a few pounds, I need to lose, no complaining..

Guess I told you I Went down to visit my friend in Nov. My son went with me, . I think if we go down again I will be able to lessen what she kept another 3 or 4 bags more.. Now this gal has been my friend since I was 14 and she was 16, just over from Czechloslovakia. Her father brought her 2 brothers over and herself.. and we met through a mutual friend.. She is still my best friend 70 yrs later.. When I left she gave me a Oriendtal Jewelry Box full of jewelry, said she was not interested in it anymore and she did not want her now husbands kids to get it, He is in the Alzheimer's Unit. I was flabbergasted.. Well I was in awe of the Jade in it.. but so many pieces marked with 10-12-14-18Kt. I took some special lookiing pieces to a reputable local jeweler, most of it they did not want as it had enamel painting or jewels it it. I have a few more pieces to get looked at but think I might get 2nd opinions on them.. Time will tell.. KATIE, I could have use your help, a 2nd set of eyes is always good..

So life goes on, and right now I am getting over Bronchitis, but luckily the Doc says I will live.. Hallelujah !

Jim good to see you up and about and having your home taken care of.. and NANCY having work done in her home. I had to go through much of the same thing here.. We just had an addition put on our house and new flooring in my computer room.. We now have a New Bathroom & Bedroom downstairs, which we did not have before.. so to the tune of 42,000.00 Its handy, but somewhat a disappointment, because I wanted a bigger bedroom, with room for a rocker so I could set in there and read.. But Thankful for the bathroom, no more running up stairs when I turn the kitchen sink water on.. LOL Still lots of things to sort out move around and get rid of..

JULIE So envious of your Cozy Camper.. My husband will not travel anymore, So guess I will never get one.. So glad you are enjoying life.. Do the GK go with you camping at all?

FRAN, what are you up to? Any exciting sales going on..I just got back from visiting a friend downstate, helping her sort our her things as she is mostly blind. One eye gone and the other partially.. She cannot see to sort out papers.. We shredded 6 garbage bags of unneeded papers her husband had saved.. I brought home 8 boxes of things, to keep or sell.. I just sold one 18K bracelet, for 674.00, Probably sold too cheap, but how would I know.. I have sorted out lots more gold chains etc.. to see if any of it is worth DOLLARS.. She gave me a whole jewelry box full of jewels.. She did not want her husbands kids to get it.. Lucky me huh?

HI JUNE, Sorry for the loss of your friend, its hard losing friends from sickness, but suddenly by accident is hard to imagine.. Its Thanksgiving day and where we usually have cold & snow, its mid 50s.. Surprise surprise, but a nice one.. Several family and friends had company from out of town today so the weather was good for traveling..

MARSON Sorry I missed your BD too, must not have been on the BD Calendar on the Pottery board.. Yep we too got our dose of snow, to the tune of about 4 feet, but not as bad as Buffalo.. Lucky us.. Take it easy shoveling, its a long winter ahead..

CARL, never heard of Jacob Cattle Beans, are they only local? I am going to do a search for them on Google.. lol I bought some apples recently, but afraid I ate most of them making Waldorf Salad.. Hi NANCY: I did not know that was your occupation. I thought you were a teacher.. A Chemical Engineer must be both interesting and Challenging. I was in Quality Assurance, until I had my Cataract Surgery, then I could not see as good for Close up work, But I found other work, still using some of my skills. Lasted long enough til I could retire.

Well heres my sob story for the day.. . a couple weeks ago I picked up a EAPG Creamer at Sal. Army for 25 Cents.. Amazing they had no idea what it was.. I brought it home and never took it out of the bag until yesterday.. and instantly dropped it on the slate floor. broke the pedestal right off.. It was an 1879 Tree of Life, made by Hobbs.. It has arms and hands locked together for the handle. plus the stem was held in the palm of a hand. I did not know until I looked at over 2000 Creamers last night to find out what I lost.. Bummer.. In my head I thought all a bad dream, if I could just go back, and handle it differently..Too old to cry, but I wanted to..

Do you get a lot of snow there in the winter? we average from 104' to 154" each winter.. as long as its all spread out and not all at once, we get by.. OH I would love to go on a Cruise, my friend and I said we want to go on one together.. another wants to join us.. but at our age, I think it will never happen.. Bummer..

KATIE boy your further north and your bulbs seem to be further ahead then ours are.. They cleaned up our flower garden last year, so anxious to see what does come up.. I had the whole side of our garden lined with Peonies, I pray they did not ruin or move all of them.. they were DH's Grandmothers from when she lived here. I still need to get some Red ones to put in there. They smell so good. Beautiful Water Bottles. I bet the small ones are cute.. When I found that one I sold last year or year before I could not believe it when I saw Blenko etched on the bottom.. Do not find many good finds like that.. A few months ago, my SIL brought me over a Large Carnival Glass Bowl.. Northwood I believe I forgot.. She said she did not need it anymore.. Well I do not either, but would not turn it down..

But we will take it.. Love your Blenko, are they all the small ones? Anymore affordable? I found a Reg. Sized on last year at a sale for 4.00.. I think it was Seafoam Green.. so many colors similar.. I sold mine for 25.00.

JULIE, Saw that flooding on the news, Your right unbelievable that it is so deep an so wide spread.. Gordon says it was the worst near the Coast, not sure which coast.. SAD, how do people recover from such disasters, and So many places get hit with the same disasters year after year, makes one wonder why they stay there, just to rebuild and have it all ruined again.. I pray you are doing ok where your located.. Will pay hectic with this years Crops I am sure.. and good cause for other places to raise their prices.. Which is understandable, even if we do not like it.. I am sure they dislike it even more.

I took in the most importants that I could not allow to freeze, left the rest for the next day, and DH carried those in for me.. He hollered because I bought so much, and I said I did not know what weather would be coming, and not sure when i could get out again, since there is only one of me.. LOL .

Went to the market while out, as not sure when I will venture out again.. Carrying the gorceries in, i Tripped over some snow.. My eyes are sensitive to light and today I had drops, I could not even see where my foot prints were in the snow, let alone a snow bank.. Luckily my son was here and with a lot of effort he got me back up.. Grrr.. Only 2 more months of bad winter..

Interesting weather patterns you have.. We never know if our winters are going to be bad or mild.. We take what we get, just like you..

CARL, we use to have a Oil Furnace, but when it went bad, we got a new Furnace and we switched to Propane, its cleaner and was cheaper. Tge rest if the house is all Electric. Wish the Furnace was too.. We prepaid our fuel this year, 2000.00 I bet if we had and Electric Furnace, bill would not be that much..
Well its early in AM, so off to bed.. Sleep well every one..

CARL That explains why our 300 gal does not get filled.. and why we use more. LOL So what do you heat with there in Me.? My friends have a furnace for both gas and a wood burner.. They heat mostly with Wood, They house is toasty warm.. but cannot imagine, how her husband keeps on going year after year cutting up a Truck load of Timber.. But she says he has a splitter..

JULIE Send some heat this way.. Our Water in new bathroom froze Sat. but thawed late yesterday.. Are your winters as cold as ours? I am presuming you must have 4 seasons like we do? Well for as high as your temps get, I guess its good you get a fair amount of rain.. remember a few years ago when you had such disastrous Fires. I know the fires here in the states has been so horrendous these last few years.. Complete neighborhoods burned out.. I do not know how people have the will to rebuild again, in some areas.. Specially ones that continue to Flood year after year.. and others
that get Tornadoes ripping apart their cities.. We are lucky where we live, We can survive the snow..

I was wondering CARL, if they filled up your propane and its to last the rest of the winter how big is your holding tank? Ours I think is 300 Gal.. but DH says they do not fill it clear full, not sure why.. but it lasts us about 6 to 8 weeks depending how bitter the winter is.. We got 2000.00 worth the beginning of the Cold that came, in Sept or Oct.. they have been back once to refill.. We have 2 tanks tho, and the one for the garage was out a week ago.. Its a smaller tank..

Hi JULIE, Just exactly how much in F* is 24C ? we had 5F* and about the same all week.. We had a Bedroom & Bathroom built on.. and no heat in there yet.. I am getting antsy for them to finish the job they were hired to do.. That was July when Hired, and here we are into the New Year and still not done.. Ordered new bedroom suite, and it is not going to be here until March, So I guess we will just keep the doors closed and pray for sun shine..

It seems like the little critters ( chippies and mice) around here stripped the wires bare.. Yep besides wheel bearing shot, and a few other things, 1900 for repairs.. Not safe to drive it home, Called up DH, He told me to buy a new one, no other alternative.. 500 miles away from home.. So I did.. what a great ride home.. lol Hope you fair better with your car.. What can you spray in your car to keep them away?

It has been a good day, Worked at the Childrens Christmas Party at the VFW, Great prizes for all the kids,Probably about 24 of them today, but with the parents and older siblings, There was a houseful.. It seems they had plenty to eat and Just enough Cookies.. Now home to fix dinner for the guys..

HI EVERYONE Well its almost my Birthday, I guess Curt Jumped the gun, because in the Birthdays by month, it is correct of the 15th. BUT That is OK, I have been out an about all week and it seems like I will not be done until Tomorrow afternoon.. I have to help with the kids Christmas Party tomorrow.. Have to be there at 11:00, it starts at Noon..

Thank you KATIE, CARL, FRAN 2, and JIM for the thoughts.. Good Grief, another year, they just keep coming and coming.. But Thats a Good thing, right ?

JIM my son has problems with Arthritis, not sure what kind but his joints swell up and it moves from one joint to another within hours and it lasts sometimes 3 to 5 days.. He gets it in his feet, hands, arms, Legs.. and so painful it brings him to tears sometime, No doctor was able to diagnose what was going on with him, They ruled out Gout, but they say it does aggravate Arthritis too.. They sent him to an Arthritis Doc, and she finally prescribed some shots for him, he has to give himself once a week.. Ins. does cover it but they are not liking it.. But it has helped him immensely.. I have Arthritis too, but not like his.. If anyone else feels they have something similar I can get the name of the meds. for them.. I see where you got quite a bit of snow last week and we did not get any (at that time).. Funny how that works..

JULIE so sorry for the hard memories of 11 yrs ago, but know how you Cherished your DH, so they probably are not bad memories.. Big Hugs for you..

I have a regular EAPG Pitcher I also need the Pattern name of, its highlighted in Gold.. Very nice, Have no need for it, but saw it at a sale and fell in love with it..

NANCY You might wish you had stayed out west longer by the time you hit the East Coast.. It was nasty here, It was raining, and picked up a friend to go to the Mall, and by the time we finished shopping, 2 hrs.. came out and car covered in snow..I stayed off of the Interstate, people do not know enought to slow down when coming through Erie, on 90. By the time we came North to come home, it was just rain again, the further south we had gone the worse it got.. Oh well its not even winter yet, and know it will eventually get worse.. after the holidays I look forward to hibernating until April..

We too have an old theater here that is a Grand place to see, they just redid the accoustics because they were really not so good.. I hear it is fantastic now.. The Theatre is on the Historic National register.. The Warner Theatre..

Hi ALL, Just checking in..

NANCY, are you still with us? You didn't go kayaking down the main street did you, I heard they have some awful torrential rains, and flooding from DC into Balt. and figured you might be getting some of that too. We have had a dry spell here, got a little rain here and there, nothing to write home about.. Got a small part of a tail wind a Few miles South of us, that tore up a Festive function, and all the tents & Food Vendors had to scramble to hold down things, a few people hurt, but no one serious. Thank Goodness.
Last night it was actually cold here in our area of Pa. in fact about 40 miles way they were getting Hail this morning.. Supposedly the heat is returning by tomorrow.. maybe some rain on the weekend..
Hope everyone is safe.. This sure has been some crazy weather for the USA, and even Russia, I see has been suffering forest fires.. A really Strange Year..

Hi CARL, I am sure you do not mind the 75* that is fairly mild compared to other extremes you get.. We also got our Grass cut yesterday the next plan is for them to start on our Flower Garden that is getting over run.. Some Berry bushes are taking over. and the heat ruined all the berries before we had a chance to check them out.

My son from Ga. was home with DIL for 10 days, and it was so good to have them home.. We had a couple big family picnics, one on his Dads side, and one on ours, plus we all went out to Breakfast together, and we had a Game Night.. Love those Game night get togethers.. We played Scrabble, Haven't laughed that much in a long time.. Getting desparate and making up words when we are stuck, and the challengers do not know whether its a word or not and afraid to Challenge.. LOL My word was YOSTS, afraid to challenge me so I got Triple word score.. LOL The others made up some words too, might have been or not, we did not look them up.. FUN Night.. Sorry to see them leave..

HI KATIE, How does your garden grow, getting enough rain for them to survive? You and Mike doing ok? Do you have AC.. That always helps in this heat.. We just had AC put in, In Jan. so we are good.. What a blessing it is.. DH has COPD so bad, the humidity kills him, but with the AC it keeps it comfortable..

A Shout out to JIM checking on you, since your not far away, You have had to have that sweltering heat as well as we did.. Sort of makes you weak, when the heat zaps the get up and go outa you.. Glad you have AC in your office to get away from it at times.. How come No AC in the store? thats crazy.. Of course this is the North and we do not have extended long hot periods like they do in Florida where every thing is AC..

Hello GLASSIES, its been awhile and while maybe I should apologize, but life is so busy for me.. My Son is living with us now, he is in the last stages I believe with COPD.. Doc says he only has 17% lung capacity left. Woe is me.. He still tries to be active, but he gets very tired easily. He has a couple of guys working for him, he has the brains/Know How, and they have the brawn.. So it works out well and he keeps getting work, They just redid someones bathroom, now they are replacing wood siding on a Barn.. He can hardly get home to get onto his Oxygen mach.. DH has COPD also, and he is not as bad as My Son is, but with two of them, they cannot do much physical stuff. And I am getting tired.. LOL

I have been busy going to Maryland to see my friend who moved back last year from Texas, they are waiting to get into a Senior Independant Living place in Pa. called the Keys.. Good grief, thankfully the sale of their home in Texas allows for them to pay their way. Which will be the home for the rest of their lives.. It will graduate to Assisted if need be. Long drive, it takes me about 7 hours to drive where they are at in Md. Near Upper Baltimore.

I am doing fine, Thankfully.

JIM L.. Funny as close as we live, We never heard about that fella going over the falls.. Our news here is not like it use to be, and I guess it wasn't newsworthy enough to be on the World news.. We watch David on ABC news every night.. I am not an ABC fan, but I like David.. How you coming with getting the glass all done.. I am surprised you have that much out.. I thought it all packed away.. 😉 You seem to be pretty active now.. No more problems with Knees or Leg? Knock on wood..

GEORGE are you still being treated for your Eyes, I hate to think of it; but Shots do not seem very fun to me.. Thank God for someone finding a treatment for what you have.. Better then going blind for sure.. My friend in Md. is Blind in one eye, and faint vision in the other one, So she gets frustrated.. While visiting them, I was her eyes and got all her tax info papers prepared for her and sent them off to her Tax guy who lives in Texas.. Wishing you continued good health..

CARL, Our Strawberries were late as well.. Of course with so much rain, the first of the crop were very bland, no taste at all they were water logged.. We just got another batch yesterday and they were more like Strawberries, very sweet.. Due to it being dry the last week or so.. How much were your Strawberries, ours are 4.95 a Quart, so I just give them 5.00, I guess they do not charge taxes.

JULIE Not sure if your Back, but how nice to get away from Winter for awhile and vacation in the islands with the family.. Did they enjoy it. I can only imagine.. Do they have Shark infested waters there? Know you had a wonderful time..

NANCY, Wow, how awful So when do you get a chance to go away again? I hope the next trip pans out for you.. My Grand Daughter and her husband were on that flight that lost an Engine and had to land early.. She was pretty upset by that, They were on their way home on Leave.. She said they offered them a 30.00 voucher for a meal, to make up for it.. She was not happy with that either, especially since they do not like flying. Quite a Scare.. Good luck with getting your folks things taken care of.. How do you squeeze 2 homes worth into One.. My friends in Md. are still living out of boxes, due to their new Cottage not being ready until mid Aug.. Wow those senior living places are High Rise prices.. I was shocked.. I could never afford it.. Well maybe when we sell our house..

Good Grief how time flies, That also means the Baby Girl that was being born about the time she moved North is also now a teenager.. I pray MaryMelodee is doing well, and enjoying life.. I Feel good this morning,not sure why.. Last week we had near 60* Temps, today near 20* I read in the paper yesterday where the next 4 years are going to be Mild Winters, not sure why, or who came up with it.. I did not put much stock in it.. I should have read it further..

Yesterday we had the westerly Storm blow through.. All day, white outs off and on, and it blew right through, truly.. I think it was on its way to Buffalo, because it sure did not stick here on the ground.. So How are you doing Jim? I hear a week or so ago, you got about two feet when it blew through here once again..
Can well imagine its all working its way up to where Carl is.. Amazing our Lake Erie, here is not Frozen over yet, Not sure about Buffalo.

We are doing fine here, not minding this winter one bit.. but still am anxious for Spring to get here.. Curious whether my Hibiscus will come back to life.. Friend said he can get me some more if they don't.. We shall see, I would rather have mind back as one big yellow one with red center, and the other a purple raspberry one, the size of a Saucer.. Too bad they only last a day..

REEN So sorry to hear that GIL, is having another up hill battle to fight, but Hopefully with determination, and a Good Doc. he will see it through, and you beside him rooting for him to behave himself and just do it.. Truly am praying for him.. and for you to both stay strong..

CARL, Do you think you had/have Bronchitis? I get that once or twice every year, usually last 3 weeks to a month.. last year 5 weeks.. The infection gets down there so deep it usually takes 2 refills to get it all.. Hope you get better soon.. So your little woman is still teaching huh? Once a teacher always a teacher.. God Bless her..

MARSON, are you staying warm up there, Staying inside anyhow is probably the smartest thing to do.. Many stores here are now delivering to beat out the competition.. Many senors are taking advantage of it.. Not sure what extra they charge..

NANCY, So sorry to hear of your Mom & Dad passing one a blow, the other a shock.. But you know they are happy together once again.. You must have so many treasures and memories in that home of theirs to sort through.. I hate when it comes time for us to be gone, and I keep saying I have to do this before someone else has to.. I would be so embarrassed when they clean out my closets and see the clothes I wore when I was last working.. LOL Might sell them as Antiques now.. LOL I do not think they sell good.. Remember when someone was selling worn out shoes and someone was buying them? Never did figure that out.. Why? You take care, do what you need to before it gets too hot..

HI JIML, I did not know you had the Gout, but remembered your having so much trouble with your knee, now your foot? Is it a regular thing that keeps popping up? Going through reg. stages? Sorry to hear that..

JULIE, hard to believe its been 10 yrs.. but its so important for us all to remember our loved ones are pain free, and in a better world then we live in.. Good to hear you are still active and doing your thing.. I bet your little GK are growing up so fast.. Too fast.. I know you feel blessed..

GOOD TO See GAIL here, just like the Old Days.. She sure keeps busy doing the cataloging on FB.. Know she is missed here..

I Think the newest thing in my life is my youngest son is living with us.. He has a few Health issues, and is not able to work much, he has picked up a few dollars here and there if he is asked about a job, he has the capabilities but not the Oomph, so he has the know how and other guys do the work with him overseeing it.. He has COPD really bad with only 17% Lung Capacity left, plus some sort of Arthritis, that disables him for days at a time.. He went to a specialist thought Maybe he had Gout.. But Arthritis Doc said its not.. but this special arthritis that moves around Joint to joint. One time its his shoulder or hands or feet or knees, This last time last Sat he came home and could hardly get into the house, He finally hopped to a chair and got his boot off, but so painful he could not touch it.. I got him something to eat, and then he crawled upstairs to his bedroom, & bathroom, So hard to see the pain he was going through.. The next morning, DH went and got him a pair of crutches to use. by the next morning it was in his Hand.. He had to wrap it with Ace bandage to help relieve the pain. Ice does not help and heat does not help, Meds do not help much.. DH had some Oxy. from when he had surgery, that must have helped him get some sleep.. The Doc said it is not gout, but he is not suppose to drink beer.. It does seem to have an effect on him.. He has tried drinking wine.. Does not want to get into the hard stuff. and goes awhile without any flair ups, and forgets how bad it was.. Thinking this last time, he will remember for a long time.. Not knowing how much time he has left I do not nag at him.. But what he is going through reminds me so much of what a couple of you are going through. So possibly if you have pain & swelling moving around that too could be Arthritis..Wish I could remember the name of it..

I thought of CARL several times, thinking he sure is getting enough of his share of snow.. Its been a strange winter..

ALSO thinking of NANCYP.. they have not been having good weather in Jersey either.. Hopefully it missed her.. last I heard many were without power as well.

Oh maybe I cannot copy and past from FB, Bummer it was at 602 E. 21st St. tho.. maybe he can do a search of it there. Nice house and owner is being particular to whom he rents.. One has to be so careful these days..

Hello ALL, well we have some Sunshine, it looks so good, but doubt it will melt any of our 6 Feet of snow.. we are having a lull, suppose to start snowing again by Friday.. with another 14 to 18 " of snow.. The lake is finally Freezing over, I am not sure how that works but they say the reason we got so much snow is because the Great Lakes (ERIE) had not frozen over yet..Winter came so sudden and early.. We have had enough for this winter already.. Time for Spring to spring..

NANCYP, I see on the news this morning where a snow storm or freeze is coming up the East Coast from Jacksonville to Ga, to Jersey and looks like you might get some before it continues up New England way.. Get prepared, stock up..

Carl we had 2* this morning, up to 12* now.. Hope your vehicles are all to go now.. Bummer when they conk out just when you need them.. Like my battery died last week, after I had been shopping during the day and stopped at my sons to say hello, and when I left the car would not start.. So son took his wifes battery out of her car and put it in mine until the next day when I went and got a new one.. I was lucky it died in his driveway.. I would have been devastated to have it die on the road someplace. But I do have Road Side Asst. just the idea of waiting.. Never fails they send someone from the far side of the city instead of a local one, even tho I tell them who to call.

HAPPY NEW YEAR JIM, Time to get back to work, huh? Morning, Noon, & Night? I see people trying to pay next years taxes in advance before the end of the year, but told they cannot unless they have a new bill.. Not to my knowledge do they give you a bill for the coming new year.. That leaves it open for change.. Our taxes seem to be jumping every year.. Keep it up I might have to do the Reverse Mortgage, NOT..

Sorry I have not been around.. Its been a cold December for sure, we just got blasted with over 100" of snow this month, and over 6 Feet just in the last week, Lots of people having fun, and others not so much.. That's what happens when our LAKE ERIE, has not frozen over yet, it probably will be after this weekend.. We had a Now Emergency here.. ALL local & surrounding Churches were closed today. That almost never happens..

HELLO ALL, Thank you very much for the Birthday Greetings.. Its been a lovely day, many phone calls, and Hollers out on FB, One friend stopped by to bring me an Elephant Necklace and another called to invite me out for lunch, and gave me a Stuffed Elephant & Baby.. So cute.. DH gave me money, and invited me out to eat but I already had dinner planned so we will take a rain check for this weekend..

HI JIML, Glad to hear your drinking Tart Cherry Juice, not sure how tart it tastes, BUT YOu can buy Tart Cherry Capsules in the Vitamin Dept.. I bought it at the local Drug store.. Not too expensive either.. and I am sure easy going down then Tart Juice.. Hope you continue feeling great.. Fixing Pork Chops for supper, is that considered a Red or White Meat?

Just checking in hopes all in Florida or friends and families are safe.. Mine are, Thankfully, Prayers do work, iT sure sounded like IRMA would be as bad or worse then HARVEY, and Glad it wasn't. Some minor damage, at my sons in Orlando to the inside of house due to water, Just when he is leaving for a new job in Ga, and they were to put the house up for sale.. I guess the wife will stay behind to make sure the repairs get done satisfactory, and The realtor contacted.. Pray also that all the water damage in Fl. will be covered by their insurance.. Son has until Oct. 1st to see to repairs and report for his new job at the VA Hosp. in Augusta.

Glad to see those who reported here made it through alright.. I haven't seen NANCYP, yet, I hope it did not hit them too hard.. Loss of power possibly..
