The pontil is polished smooth, and the overshot forms a circle around it.

I have nothing on the left hand side of my screen, just grey/gray space! I tried the how to post a picture "page but the pic was tiny and later, on the same page, it says this function is disabled, so post a link instead. Will keep plugging at it though!
