'Afternoon All: We've had a disappointing one. We haven't been to what was our favorite seafood place in a long time. So, today we took a drive down to The Lost Gull, in Oxford, Maine. Been going there for nearly 20 years & always wonderful..........until today! It was awful. We ordered the seafood platter, to share. Haddock, Fried Clams, Fried Scallops, fries, coleslaw, the whole 9 yards. Cost $45.00. Terrible!!! The Haddock was quite obviously a frozen filet, the scallops were tough & tasteless (also obviously frozen) & the clams were also tasteless and got very hard within minutes. So, we drove 90 miles round-trip for tasteless crap! Needless to say, we will NOT be going back. So ironic that in the State of Maine, famous for it's seafood, that it's getting very hard to find good seafood anywhere.
