This is us at the worlds highest motorable road on the Khardung La Pass. 5, 600 metres. The first time at that altitude breathing was very hard and so was walking but well worth it. We had spent 2 days prior to this at Leh (altitude 4,000metres) to let or bodies acclimatize. Walking up hills and stairs was an effort and we did plenty of that in the 2 days there . 2nd time over the pass after spending a couple of days at Nubra Valley (3048 metres) wasn't quite so bad as we were starting to acclimatise. Breathing was still hard and walking was slow just not as bad. The motorbike ride down was truly amazing/spectacular/OMG/WOW/jawdropping/ surreal and any other word that could be use to describe this .
