Nancy @jerseystar27 I am very thrilled to be getting Nanas sideboard. I remember it so well from when I was a little girl. It use to have a huge mirror with shelves on top. I remember all Nana's little ornaments on the shelves. She had one of those little noddy dog ornaments and she would lift me up onto the side board and let me play with the noddy dog. The side board seemed so huge to such a little girl back then. I couldn't even reach the top of the sideboard.I was probably only about 3 or 4. I remember as Nana got older and obviously much shorter, her sons (My Dad included) cut the mirror and shelves off because Nana couldn't reach anymore to dust. After she passed away my father had it and it sat out on our back verandah for many years getting "ruined" Dads brother , my Uncle Jim (R.I.P) eventually took it and to everyone's surprise restored it beautifully. Minus the top section of course. No one can remember what happened to that. Nana passed away when I was about 10 years old but I still have such very fond memories of her and how much love she had for us all.
