I placed a call to St. Clair Glass and while I got confirmation that the sulphides were hand-painted in their studio, the older lady I spoke with was not terribly happy to help and didn’t know who the initials ”J G” or ”G J” belonged to. She said, ”Joe might, but I don’t.” End of conversation :\ The first one is on a mouse, the other two are on owls. Another set of initials, on a small cat, perhaps meant for a marble (not shown in my photos), are ”R N”.

After further research, we found that the sender of the package has an auction service in Anderson, Indiana and just held an auction back in March with numerous St. Clair pieces. My next thought is to contact him, though the postage date on the box dates back to 1990. The real question is, are they even worth the time, trouble and money I’ve already spent on them?
