Thanks again, NANCY for keeping in touch.. The Sun is out today, but still snow on the ground.
It was suppose to get down to 17^ last night, but back up to 34 today, so we shall we see.. Still not warm enough for my blood. Even June is Cold here for me.. July is warmer and just when It warm up, it starts cooling down .again. I think our State is one of the safer weather wise; but If we could have a weather pattern change here, I would appreciate it more.

Katey I am sure everyone would be happy for you to continue sticking around here for a long time, including when you move further south.. Have you figured out what you are going to do living wise, when you finally decide to move? are you putting the house up for sale?
Than you can give me some guide lines for selling mine, if it comes down to that.. Terry is not doing so well, I constantly check on him in the morning to make sure he si still breathing. There are some changes I want to make to the house before I sell Ours, that he has not agreed to yet.. Ours is a very old house, with a dirt floor basement, I want to have cement poured there, and a new kitchen; but maybe I should let the new owners decide on that and give them, money to do it with.. With in Limits..

My Sister passed last night, after suffering if Stage 4 COPD, for about 5 yrs.. She passed in Fl. ahe will be creamated there and then when BIL is able to handle the drive he will bring her home.. His Son & Daughter are with him right now.. So he is not alone.. Than he has a house full up here in PA. to take care of not sure how he will manage that or what he sees for his future.. I suppose Terry & I will have the same dilemma, when one of us pass.
I have so much to do, to prepare for that scenario.. where to start? I still have one son here, and two down south, Such a burden to put on anyone person..

Well we too have had quite a bit of snow.. I hate even going out of the house. Still thinking of having Walmart delivery service for Groceries, but have not taken that leap yet.. How long can we get along without the staples for every day living?
WOW reading all the extremes in weather conditions, I guess we are in between here in Pa. It is 34*, We have no one who comes to clear our cars or driveway/sidewalk.. Tho Terry has an able son who lives close by, we might see him, once a year.. No not a thoughtful son.. He sure enjoys the Money we send out at Christmas..He has a good job, but like most he has places for that to go..

We have had a couple feet of snow, thus far, but it all melted and now another snow storm and most of it is back..

MARSON, nice that a Gentleman stopped by, wishing we had someone around here stop by.. Yep, Our nearby time, will let you know if you shovel snow onto their streets.. We live on a country road, several acres between houses So not profitable for Shovelers.. Thank You too for the Birthday Wishes..

JULIE, sounds like you had a Great Holiday Get together on your camping trip and at your Daughters.. Glad you got a little break in the heat wave.. Wow Brown Grass, we get a little of that but not too bad this past summer as it rained quite often..

OH CARL, that Cold weather is in extreme, we get some cold, but usually just in the low Degrees, very seldom hit Zero.. Lucky us huh? We do not get the extreme heat either, Might hit 90* rarely, past 92* I am always cold here even when its 70* I doubt I could tolerate Minus Degrees.. or anyplace where it got above 100*... I am not sure how people acclimate themselves to living in those areas..

NANCY, Did you get any of that brutal weather that blew in from the West? Yep we did, I thought for sure some of the shingles were going to blow off the house.. Our new metal roof seems to be holding up well.. Nice you have a son that helps take care of you.. I cannot blame my sons for moving south.. I would go too, if Terry would but not sure why he wants to stay here since his Parents are both gone, as mine are, and he hardly sees his brother more then 2 or 3 times a year.. OH well, I am destined to die where I was born..

Praying I did not miss anyone, and you all have a great New Year.. and Don't forget to Pray for World Peace.. Hopefully our President does not rain war down on our Country, by some of his crazy ideas..

ONe of my Friends took me out to Perkins for Breakfast on the special day. We do not see each other much when snowed in, during the winter, so it was a pleasant day, and Just a 2 days ago our Temp. was 50* another friend took me out to Lunch.. I am truely Blessed

So will not try to duplicate it right now.. I just got my computer back after 3 weeks without it.. So much to do.. Got a new Computer, with Win 11, and its a Gamer.. am not that impressed with it since we do not play Video Games on it.. But Son said it would be faster.. Not so sure on that as I do not have anything to compare it to.. It dod not have a CD or DVD Drive built it.. So I have to buy one to attach.. PC cost me near 1000.00 and just cost me 326.00 through the Geek Squad at Best Buy.. I wish I had gotten a simple computer, I did not need a gamer.. I would like to sell it, but with over 1300.00 in it, doubt it would be profitable.. '

Every once in awhile, (not often enough) but appreciated Grandson stopped by sometimes an after thought I am sure, but always so good to see him.. Last time he stopped by he brought his Fiancé with him.. They have been together about 4 yrs and wedding planned for next year..

I wrote to Reen, a couple weeks ago.. She said Gil finally lost his battle, he passed, In Feb. I believe she said, not sure what she is going to do yet She was having someone from Church helping her with details.. I guess Gil probably always took care of the bills.. With me I have always taken care of the bills and taxes, so without me.,. Terry would have to seek help too..

NANCY, Yes I saw that on the news where a Young fella had been burning pallets and left the fire before it was out.. I do not think they would calll that Arson, if it was an accident, but who knows. Darned shame so much of th4e area burned off.. But they did catch him,

When he was old enough he enlisted and spent 20 yrs in the Army Stationed at Fort Bragg, then to Germany. Always taking his family with him. . .

NK JULIE, I wonder how many times you relive losing Gordon, Every time, someone you know is going through the same thing, I would suppose..Hopefully now its just loving throughs. Many of us can relate..

HI MARSON, hopfully winter is now about over for you.. and you can get things done that did not get completed last year.. Its 35* here today, the other day it was near 70* , So up and down.. We cannot shovel any more either.. Luckily our Mail Carrer is putting our mail inside the storm door so we do not have to walk across the road.. I have given her some cash and gift cards.. We sure do appreciate it..

KATIE So sorry to hear about Mike, So glad your sons are near and can give you the support you need.. Yes Hospice is a God Send, but while they were here attending my Son, unless they were bathing him, I stayed in the room all the time, just so I could answer their questions as Sons mind was not as sharp as when he was well, AND I learned a lot, of tips along the way.. He got so bad, falling out of bed etc. thay they finally advised a Nursing home.. Which I went along with because I thought they would see to it he did not fall out of bed.. WRONG.. They do not allow Bars on the bed anymore.. He fell out of bed there several times, broke my heart.,. Maybe othe states are different, but GD who is a nurse in Florida, confirmed it.. Stay Strong, Try to keep a clear head.. Many ((( HUGS))).

MARSON, I can relate, our weather here has been really Cold as well, down to -3 the other night, low teens the rest of the time, suppose to warm up tomorrow to 30* we shall see.. We cannot shovel anymore, so waiting for God to see fit to take it away..

FRAN, Your so right, Hospice, furnished son with Walker, Portable Commode, but they had to put a catheter in..Even offered a Hospital bed, but could not make room for that..Without getting rid of my new bedroom set. They told me when he passed the items were mine to do with whatever..

Well I have been pretty much idle for the last two weeks,
DIZZY, Not sure why.. I tried to call Doc again today and they were closed, not sure why.. I think I need a cat scan on my heard.. The last time I was out was the 7th.. Got dizzy that night when going to bed, and now its every day, but not consistant.. Need to do something, DH will not allow me to got upstairs, so sleeping in recliner.. I am ok, just setting still, but if I bend over or Try to get up everything just keeps swirling around, I feel like I am going to fall out of the recliner, So Dannys Walker has come in handy..

Well going to get outa here and go relax ini recliner, You all have a great New Year and Hope things go smoothly, as can be. And if anyone offered help, take it.. We are not getting any younger.. BUMMER!

JULIE YOU ARE PROBABLY RIGHT, I most likely do not have that notice anymore it has been months ago.. last early summer, i believe.. So be it.. I hope the day comes when someone finds it worth while to dispute there claims, or actions..

I suppose if you watched the news you heard all about Our Thanksgiving weekend Blizzard and 5 feet of snow we got here in Erie, Erie County, Pa. We did not go out of the house for about 8 days, as we could not even get out our Front door, with at least 4 feet in front of it.. the back yard door was also impossible to get out.. Finally God saw fit to give us warmer temps and most of it melted, Friends did plow out our driveway but nothing they could do with the bucket to clear our cars or the door way out..
But we survived and had plenty to eat.. So no great hardship..
I pray you all had a great Thanksgiving, and a Merry Christmas as well..

WE ordered a new recliner for DH, Suppose to deliver it Monday.. But we are going to cancel it until this all clears out.. His recliner quit working, with the remote, He had to crawl out of it.. LOL

We are in the mist of a Snow Blizzard, and know it headed up North East to Maine.. So any in the path will more or less going to get it.. We have about 6" now, by tomorrow we are likely to have the 10" they are predicting.. This is our first snow fall, Hope it is not forecasting how the rest of the Winter is going to be..

Well JULIE winter is fast approaching here, no snow yet, but we know its coming.. We have had unseasonably warm days the past week or so, but the temps are quickly falling as the leaves are as well. its 42* F today..another 10 Degrees and it will surely snow.. How nice you got away.. isna't it nice not to have to answer robicalls, or don't you get those down there? Boy we were all unindated with them during the elections, now they are over we keep getting Medicare calls.. Glad I have call blocking.. I just got a new phone again, and am just learning how to operate it.. So sorry to hear of Kelli's Jerry passing away, they made a good compatible couple.. I am sure she misses him, all the time, but especially when they were out treasure hunting together..

Is he getting Hospice care yet.. or are you doing it all.. I had finally called them for my son when, I thought it would be helpful.. and They were..
I know I hated doing that too, but thought they may be able to help where I cannot benefit him.. They furnished all his needs.. at no cost. One of the local hospitals offered their Hospice care, and I was greatful.

NANCY, I hope you were not near any of those Fires in NJ, i guess NY was busy, trying to put them out.. and Hard to even imagine the fires in Calif.. All those people without homes now, How sad and Tragic, for so many other, in the paths of Floods, Fires, Tornados, & Hurricanes.. I am again Thanking the Lord and My Family for borning me here in Pa.. where we might get 3 or 4 feet of snow, but it soon melts and goes away.. Nothing like others are experiencing..

HI CARL, we also had a light snow this winter, not sure what Spring will bring, but surely another snow storm before winter is over.. All we have had was Rain the past week, most of our Spring flowers are blooming.. the Lilac trees all leafing out, and the Forsthias looking good. Oh we did have a light snowfall over night, but this morning it was gone..

Friends of my sons, had a benefit for him today with all the food you could eat and so good seeing some of his child hood friends who came, and I did not recognize 2 of them.. It was a wonderful showing of his friends and how much they think of him.. Broke my heart for the reason that it was for. I broke down a couple of times, but held it together pretty good, not too many saw that except for the ones that were holding me at the time, I think they might have noticed..

Too nice to stay in, but no where to go.. Tho last Sunday my two Brothers, SIL and myself went out to OUR Sisters & BIL, to visit before they head for Florida for the winter.. She is on Oxygen and seldom goes out of the house, Not sure she is up to driving that far to Fl. but better then the alternative and having to deal with Snow.. BIL is going to be 80 next month and sister just 73. they have been married 52 yrs, so I guess its Death til they part.. But Nothing else exciting going on..

HI NANCY, Seems like you have been doing your share of traveling.. I love to travel but DH could care less anymore, I have a hard time to get him our of our home town.. He likes to do all his shopping here locally.. I envy you being able to travel.. But I have a hard time with flying, for numerous reasons, my Ears for one.. and the walking is another.. I stagger somewhat.. not sure why, often think I might be getting MS, but surely it would have been more dominant by now, if it was.. Take care and enjoy while you can.

JULIE, are you all caught up with your Yard work now? cannot imagine how much it costs to travel like you like to. but thats good that you can.. I also enjoyed all your adventure through the Pictures you posted, Thank you for that.. Did you get pictures of the Taj Mahal? I would like to see those again, in case I missed them.. I was wonder and possibly one of you Glassies might know.. I have a glass bowl with red & gold roses on the back side, with some of the paint missing, can I or someone repaint those place where the paint is gone.. Forget what you call it, must be old age..

Now we are not sure what happened to SUSAN.. Called her house number, no answer just answering machine, and sent email, still nothing.. Last we heard from her she posted she was in the hospital, diagnose with Cirrhosis, Told her to check her water if she had well water, and surely she does not drink much. So not sure how she would have gotten it or whats happening with her.. So Praying she is OK..

FRAN2. Also wondering how you are Hopefully you and family are OK..

At my age I figure I owe it to myself to enjoy every bit of life I have left.. LOL But I do regret I will be leaving still a lot of clean up/out of my treasures for them to deal with..

I still had TINCEY's email address in my address book so I wrote to her, I always called her Isidee, I liked that name.. So hopefully I will hear back from her.. So many once they leave here have no idea to how to come back if they did not save the connection.. I will let you know if I hear from her..

KATIE, that water bottle you passed up, was it a Spring GREEN? I bought one a few years back at a yard sale for 4.00, could not believe they were selling it that cheap and I snatched it right up.. It was signed too..

CARL, Great to hear the girls will be coming home for a break to visit.. I just saw two Great Nephews at a family get together, hard to believe they have graduated, and one in his 3rd yr of Medical School.. I bet you find it hard to believe as well.. Smoke getting any better up there, have not heard much about the fires, but I imagine they are still burning.. We had a whopping fierce storm the other night and was thinking why aren't those fires getting some of this.. The Gardens around here are doing pretty good, I guess enough rain, that nothing has dried up.. Radishes, believe it or not are high here at the stores.. Haven't stopped at a farmers stand to see what they are selling them for if it was even worth their time planting.. but for a small bunch with leaves still on them, was 3.50..

Have been following JULIES pictures on FB, such an array of scenery pictures and the group.. I bet she will be ready for a rest when she gets home.. No matter how much she is enjoying it now..
What an experience, will be long remembered I am sure.

KATIE, Sounds like you are on a similar diet as my Son who lives with us.. Besides his Cancer his has for years been battling Arthritis, the Docs says he has Both kinds of Uncle Art.. thus why he suffers so with swellings and pain.. He is now trying to be as Gluten Free as possible, sticking with seafoods or chicken, and Glu Free Bread.. and more Salads.. Been working pretty well for him. Hope for you too.. Best of Luck for Mike with all future tests..

CARL, We have had much smoke this past week, I thought it fog, It was only out over the Lake and up South of us, Coming in from Canada.. We had about 2 good days of rain, but otherwise Weather has been fairly decent.. Thankfully, Sunshined all last weekend, with Families in from Md. for Fam. Reunion, when it was predicted to rain all weekend, Waited until they left started on Monday.. The Grape crops around seem to be flourishing, not sure on the other crops, except for Corn our neighboring Farmer grows in stages, so he has corn to sell pretty much all of July, Aug. into Sept. once it comes in. Hope the crops you do have that survive, do well.. Might cramp your Canning a little this year..

JULIE, I am glad you have friends and family along with you on your extensive trip.. So I will not worry too much.. Looking forward to when you have time to get your pictures sorted when you get back.. When will that be? Yes, you should have a family reunion, while there are still some of the elders left.. Than there will only be you young ones left and no one left to answer family questions, we all want to know after the fact and we have lost all of our elders.. I have one Aunt In law left and some cousins seldom seen..

Carl, Good Picture, I take horrid pictures so not attempting that challenge.. Hope your Garden is doing good.. How is the Air Quality up there, so close to Nova Scotia, we do not see much smoke, anymore.. So do they have much of the fires put out up there? I did read where they thought some would never get extinquished.. Sad..

Hi NANCY P. are you enjoying your retirement? Doing any Kayaking/or is it Canoeing ? I would not even attempt getting into either of those, especially at my age.. Last time in a row boat about 50 yrs ago.. A Helgramite came after me, I almost backed right out of the boat, setting down.. in the Allegheny River.. Never again.

Wonderful day of Saleing yesterday, got a set of 8 red King Crown Small glasses, I suppose wine, juice or Liquor glasses, the brand that is under glass, so perfect condition. Also a glass 8*" Bowl where the underside is Red & Gold, with some of the pain missing, would it be a No No to try and repaint the Gold & Red in places? Been out of glass so long forgetting some of the names.

I hated leaving Fl. when I lived there to come back to Pa. but sure as heck would not have moved back to Me. had I lived there.. You guys have to be brave to still stay there.. I had that Covid, it was strange, I never ran a fever.. but I was just tired. and didn't feel like I could navigate. So spent the most days in bed for about 2 weeks.. No one else got it here tho, so luckily I stayed in my bedroom and they fended for themselves..

I was going through some pictures today and ran across one I wanted to Post for Mike (MIKEY).. He is probably busy with Taxe by now.. But I will post this when he wants to check back when he is relaxing he might see it.. It is a Post card from 1911, when the Niagara Falls was frozen over.. Maybe they had cut the power off at that time, not sure, maybe they let kids back then ice skate on the River without worrying about going over.. LOL Probably not.. So Mike if I can figure out how to post a picture here.. Here it is ! I use to be able to post pictures here, but no way can I understand what they got going on there now.. Bummer.
