Carl your weather is a nightmare. Ours is weird..in the eighties for 3 days and down to 30 and snow tomorrow. It is very hard on my old sore body. I fell in Houston and had to come back a week early. I messed up most of my left side from head to ankle and tore up my right hip but thankfully no breaks.

I am planting cucamelons this year for a nutritious snack. They are tiny cucumbers with a citrus flavor.

They are large and show up well. Wish I could link a pic but my camera broke. Hope Santa will bring me a new one.

Tons of health problems have kept us pretty busy. DH has pancreatic cancer by is doing remarkably well. He had surgery and is on chemo.

We visited Katie and Mike and Michael Gorham this summer. It was wonderful to see them. We went to Myrtle beach two weeks ago and had wonderful weather. We stayed in sister's new RV. It was a bit crowded with four adults and an 85 pound Labradoodle. I got up to go to the potty in the middle of the night and found the dog had taken over my bed!

we are going to an oil lamp symposium at Winterthur next. DH is still collecting oil lamps and is always interested in learning more. I will stay in the hotel and read!

We had a wonderful Pittsburgh Historic lamp meeting in Sept. at a member's home. He has awesome glass and also collects transferware. Our study group is researching glass molds this year. If any of you have any and would send a photo, we would love to see them.

I am getting ready for a neighborhood garage sale next week. I have several glass bottles and jars to sell and a few collectibles. Glass door pulls and door knobs. Nothing really interesting.
I haven't been here much since we are dealing with DH's pancreatic cancer. His surgery went well and now after he heals from that, he will have chemo. Such a shock to both of us. It is good that he is so healthy otherwise. I would appreciate your prayers.

We had our first snowfall yesterday and it looks so lovely. The road leading to our complex was not cleaned or salted so it was slow going to our Montour Trail dinner last night. We have another party tonight and one here on Sat.40 people from the church choir will be coming and there is no parking allowed on the street in our twp.

I have been busy decorating and baking cookies and haven't been around lately, but wanted to check on everyone. I hope you are all doing well.

The dog is finally doing well and had her dressing removed a week ago. Now we have to keep her from licking the graft off her leg. Her appetite is crazy. She tells us ever two hours that she needs food. She talks loud and clear. LOL

Carl I have blood drawn at Quest. They told me to drink a lot of water the night before and in the morning. It is easy to find my hidden veins since the liquid pops them up. No one ever told me that before and I had so much pain and problems before that. Try drinking water and even the old nurse will not hurt you.

She will be there about another week if she survives. She is in a lot of pain and is sedated. I can't stand to go visit since she looks so awful and all I do is cry. Gil went today and she didn't even respond at all. They will graft skin on to her leg/paw on Sunday if she remains stable.

The weather here has been wonderful for the last 3 days. Very little humidity and a perfect day for riding my tricycle. I am trying to strengthen my legs. Maybe I will get better balance. I feel like I am drunk some days and have fallen a few times.

We had 3+ inches of rain today and lots of stormy weather. The small stream in my sister's yard is now a lake that is all the way up on their lawn. We are glad that the house sits on a rise, so no fear of water coming in.
