Best to all

Julie- LOVE todays coffee maker. At first glance I wasn't sure if it was a radio or a bomb. All is well here with a busy week ahead.
Stay well everybody,
Nancyjean

Love the pic of the antique coffee maker. We saw one not to long ago that was marked "Austria" I love to see these early contraptions but I think I will keep my Keurig!

Crazy weather her too but gradually getting better. Take care all.

We are finally getting some spring weather and we are all more than ready for it. That also means flea market weather. I love to wander around and am particularly happy to discover a treasure under a pile of "just stuff".

Stay dry,
Nancyjean

Hope everybody is well and enjoying spring weather. I am feeling much better - more like me again. Went to an auction yesterday and saw an interesting piece of Dugan. It was an amethyst carnival bowl with a ruffled and beaded rim in the "Farm Yard" pattern. I don't know a thing about carnival but the word was that this is a rare piece. I guess so because it sold for $2100.00.

I was happy to pick up a pair of Pairpoint vases and a couple of Sandwich glass perfumes.

This auction had a great collection of antique Chinese pieces. I don't know anything about Chinese art and pottery but it was just stunning. They had a rare 5 piece set of gorgeous Chinese silver bowls that sold for $21,000! It was a lot of fun just watching this one. It was the first auction I attended in a while and I really enjoyed all the auction and truly beautiful things like oriental rugs and antique furniture. Also- a collection of hundreds of pieces if Wedgwood jasperware.

A good day with my dh and I was so glad to be back on my feet.

Goodnight all,
Nancyjean

Hope you all have a lovely day.

So nice to hear from you. Still in the glass biz here and glad to get the name of another database for research. You can't have too much info.

Crazy weather winter here and all over. One of my customers out west got two boxes from us at the Post office and put them in her trunk. On the way home there was a bad downpour of freezing rain. Her trunk lid was so iced over it was a couple of days before she got the trunk open.

Hope things are not so dire where you are and that you are well.

Thanks again for the site.

Nancyjean

I have heard that many ex-ebayers are also happy on Etsy. It might be something to think about anyway.

Indian Summer here. They tell us that in 48 hrs it will be back to Fall weather. Hope everybody is well.

Nancyjean

Julie, sounds like stormy weather there. We are wondering what this current hurricane will do. It is supposed to be a monster. Anybody up and down the Atlantic coast- heads up!

Take care all

Postal problems are frustrating as anything. I have to say we have had very few over the years BUT when we do it's a major pain to figure out. The last time it happened was when they were updating the website a couple of years ago. We bought something that arrived in multiple pieces. We were told that we had to file the claim online which we did. Because of a programming error the computer rejected it. I will spare you the whole long boring tale of phone calls and letters to HQ. The end of my sad story is that by the time it was all figured out I got a letter saying "sorry" the time you had to file has run out. At that point I decided my mental health was worth more than the insurance compensation and just put it down to experience.

Hope your problem has a speedy and satisfactory ending.

Have a good one. Busy day tomorrow - I'm heading for bed.

Nancyjean

Reen- poor dog- hope she is a little better each day. So hard to watch a pet suffer.

I Jim - hope you are doing well also.

Good morning also to Kate and Fran. Hope Carl is missing for some happy reason.

By the way, if anybody is in touch with Gail, please tell her hello for me.

Have to go deal with packing some glass now. PO closes early on Sat around here. I want to get this over with- one of those customers who are a bit of a pain. Oh well.

Later,
Nancyjean

Greetings to all. Hope it's a good day no matter what the weather.

Nancyjean

Wow, I am so jealous.I must have 10 of Pina's books. Mid century is our main specialty. Good luck !
Nancyjean

Hope all are well and enjoying a lovely day.

Howard Johnson's was a treat for us too. I think it was Howard Johnson's that were all along the Pa Turnpike. I can remember some cold mornings on the long drive to visit relatives when a Ho Jo's was a welcome sight. There- I've dated myself.

Hope everybody is well and having a good day.

Nancyjean

Julie, when I get a chance I will try again to figure out the photo wizard. I really appreciate the photos posted here and would like to reciprocate. My last try was a fail but I will give it another try.

glad to say our 8 day heat wave has broken. We are now at a cool 89. Everything is relative LOL

Nancyjean

Jim- thanks so much for the video. So glad Pete Fountain got a proper send off. Hope your knee improves soon.

We bought a gorgeous Murano floor vase. Problem is the size and weight of this thing makes it a shipping nightmare. It won't even fit into our showcase. We may need to find a spot with enough room to take it on consignment. We will have to give this some more thought. We broke our own rule about falling in love with the merch. Now we must pay...LOL

Be well all. Nancyjean

OUCH!
It's easy to say and hard to do but you really have to baby the darn thing and be patient. Gets old but what can you do?
Sending good vibrations

Later,
Nancyjean

Stay well everyone.

Nancyjean

Bought a lot of glass for something else and what do we find but a Georgian Candlestick? Talk about a nice surprise.

Hope everybody is well.

Nancyjean

On Ruby Lane I believe the domed cake stand would probably go for about $75 to $85. Just my estimate based on the past. More if you can id it. Gotta run

Nancyjean

inventory time again. Not my most favorite thing to do but it's a must. Happy to say it is shrinking every year. We are now concentrating on fewer kinds of glass. We will be getting another load ready for auction.

Heavy t-storms with WIND yesterday. Clear and sunny today but very hot and at the beginning of a heat wave. Oh well, summer.

Shelly- love your cake stand. even if you don't know the maker it is good looking enough to sell for a bunch. When we did tableware, we always had luck with cake stands and covered cheese plates. This one is gorgeous.

Julie- know what you are experiencing with your mom's situation. Your visits are sure to be a comfort to her and will be a comfort to you when she is gone. Sending good thoughts to you

Back to work now. Take care everyone.

Nancyjean

I do look in now and then but I have had a very busy time lately with various things.Hopefully things will get a little quieter later this summer . All the best,
Nancyjean

Hi all. Hope everybody is well and enjoying a good summer.

Nancyjean

Carl- glad your family member is ok. We are praying for the victims as I know many are.

Greeting to all.
Nancyjean

Just accidentally discovered a really fast and easy way to remove label gunk from glass. I bought GOJO to use on my hands after working in the garden. To my surprise it cleans label gunk and really dirty glass really fast with almost no effort. Just wanted to share it here if any of you get as annoyed as I do when that goey stuff just won't go away.

Hope everybody is well and stays that way.

Nancyjean

Hi Shelly- Jonas also interfered with many a church service. We were glad to have only a service canceled. In an area church Jonas destroyed a whole roof. Major damage there.
I think you will find that your cruets will be worth much more if they are in color. Colorless ones aren't doing well right now unless they are signed by somebody famous.

Our antique mall will be closed for the third day tomorrow. Oh well. You can't fight mother nature.

I can't wait to see the first crocus.
