Shelly, I hear you about some of the bidders. Today I ended an item that had bids which I've never done. It was a high end piece and kept getting questions about it being real and all. Had the owner take it to a jeweler to get it authenticated. She ended up selling to them with no questions asked and no fees. Since it's so easy for ebay to freeze your account I'm glad she did it. I sure don't need any problems...:o)
Our weather has finally cooled down some and I'm loving it. Want to have another sale before Christmas but we'll see how things work out.
Carl, I enjoy your daily posts and pics. You've gotten some wonderful stuff over the years.

I see Hostess was mentioned. Yes, they're back but I agree with Carl they are not the same.. And the price has almost doubled so I won't be trying anymore. The cupcakes tasted like stale cake to me. Just not what they used to be.

I also agree that ALL the people in the goverment need to be voted out. Seems they don't know crap but since they're pay checks are still coming they don't care either.

I needed to get some more pics done and list but not sure it will be worth the time. Too many peeps out of work right now.

Had to share my good luck today. Hubby saw a mouse on our carport yesterday so we decide to clean this am. I had a small box out there I was saving for mailing something. Must of sat on the refridge for over a year. He handed it to me and I heard a rattle. Found a ring that has a 1 karet diamond set in platium (sp) inside. While sorting an estate one day I missed it. ROFLOL This made all the work this am worth it. And also sold some patio chairs on CL while working out there. Life is wonderful today!!!!

Helen, I had just the metal frame with glass on top for a table. used it awhile then sold it at a YS.
Today I had hubby pull out 3 bins from the shed that have been packed since before we moved. I went through them and pulled out a few things to list on ebay. Got to hot out there so said I'll do more another day. LOL
Bear, I've sold lots of glass before but seems the cost of shipping makes it not worth it anymore. I never mark things fragile because that's like says "throw me around" to some PO workers. I've also been a good packer but when someone uses your package as a step stool it just won't stand up to the weight. LOL
Shelly, I always use the USPS insurance because I never had a problem with a claim with them. I think shipsaver may be cheaper but not sure how well they handle claims.
I'm off to get an early shower and sit around in front of the TV tonight. Need to do some pics in the morning so I can list some stuff.

Gail, I used to sell lots of pottery and glass but seems the PO is doing a worst job anymore. The last pottery piece I sold arived in 12 pieces and you could see a foot print right on the box top...:o( It lasted 60 years in a home with kids and 1 day at the PO. I still have lots of it to sell but not sure I want to take the chance.

Trying to decide what to list on ebay next. Glass makes me nervous because of the way the PO handles the packages. May try a few clothing items for a change. Need to get into the shed for the boxes that have been packed for 8 years. (since I moved) I know I have some clocks packed away and if I haven't seen them in that long I don't need them any more. LOL

Bob, the refund usually takes about 14 days but you will get it. I also think the time is terrible since they can take it out of your account so quick. Seems they could put it back quick but they don't.
Hubby is out doing the front yard. We did the back yesterday. I need to do some work inside today. Need to get into the shed for a box but dread that since it's already hot out. Well, not really hot but 87 with the humidity at 50 is hot for us. I can't wait for cooler temps.

Gail, I was reading about your TV problems. Since you don't have cable or satilite all you need is a good HDTV anttena. I remember reading a while back that you had gotten a new TV so it must be a HD. I have one in the extra room and have a set of HDTV rabbit ears on it. The picture is fantastic. The brand is Phillips so they most likely came from walmart and cost about $20. Better then going on a roof to set the one up there. Try them and if they don't work you could always return them. Our pic is better with them then the satilite pic on the other tv.

Reen, those palm crosses are beautiful. Were they your design or someone elses? The church looks very pretty.

I have a glass question. I've listed a fostoria tray but it has no etching on it. I've found lots like it with different etchings so would this one be called a blank? TIA
